So sorry five Sad I was wondering how you were getting on. I had the same as you before DS & managed to conceive him just 6 weeks after a d&c so I'm sure you'll be back soon. I understand why you haven't told your DH but I'm sure he'd want to know so he can support you. Sending unmnetty hugs.

Oh my god; my belly is so bloated and swollen (and windy..sorry tmi)! Anyone else get this? I'm 7+1

seven77 · 06/10/2012 21:35

I'm so sorry to hear your news five.

Anyone else completely exhausted. I've caught a cold and sore throat off DD which isn't helping, along with her still occasional pre-5am wake-ups!

seven77 · 06/10/2012 21:36

bunny with DD I was so bloated I started wearing maternity jeans at 8 weeks Blush.

lauraellajane · 06/10/2012 22:14

Phew that's a relief to hear, I'm feeling SO FAT!

Hi by the way everyone, I've been lurking for a while. Got my surprise BFP a week ago now and it's still sinking in! Think I'm around 6 wks with due date 29 May but not entirely sure of my dates. Hope you are all getting on okay!

I'm totally bloated too, and I'm going to have to break out the mat clothes soon although was hoping to wait until after the next scan. Can only wear my fat jeans and leggings with long tips at mo, although I have to roll the top of them down over my fat belly!!
Just catching up on strictly now - DH hates it so I have to wait til he's out, it's my guilty pleasure!!

Bunnychan · 07/10/2012 10:45

I'm so glad I'm not alone, I feel really miserable about it too! Nothing feels comfortable to wear and I'm having to roll down waistbands. I brought loads of lovely dresses before I knew I was pregnant and they are just teasing me in the wardrobe (they all have elasticated waistbands that make it feel worse!) I would feel stupid buying maternity clothes so soon x

Picklep · 07/10/2012 11:46

Help ladies....Sorry its a TMI situation but, last night i had the worst night sleep as was really itchy down below, so uncomfortable. Its not thrush but just a mild irritation, went to pharmacy this morning to get some Canesten and the pharmacist wouldn't let me have it because i am pregnant. She said i should see my midwife. Why?? DH said i should have lied but i didn't think there would be a problem and I didn't want to lie and say 'no I'm not pregnant' incase i jinxed it! I can't understand why there would be a problem especially for external use. Miserable and uncomfortable.

wilderumpus · 07/10/2012 12:06

I'm in mat clothes now! 8+2! I look actually pregnant today (c/o chinese last night and being SO thirsty - nice amount of water retention!) DH thinks is brill so I haven't told him it is all bloat Grin

Was this day in my last pregnancy that I found out my pregnancy had definitely failed. Then they made me wait another 10 days until they helped me mc :( What a shit time. Can't wait for a nice walk in the sunshine and just hope this one is ok.

Thinking of you today five. I really hope you do tell your DH. whatever number baby it is it is a loss for you and a shock and you might need more cuddles and love than you expect (though I can't presume to know how you feel). I can't imagine he would blame you for telling him and you are a team - you look after him with his current problems and so he will look after you. Take care lovey Thanks x

cuppateaandagingersnap · 07/10/2012 12:15

Canesten is fine - pregnant people get thrush all the time and we can't not treat it! You can use the cream and vaginal pessaries but not the oral tablets. However if not thrush might not help, you could try some baking soda in a bath as might be change in vag pH making you itch, we get more acidic in pregnancy, if that or canesten not helping u could see your GP or MW to make sure not a bacterial infection.

Hope this helps as itchy bits are not plesant!

MsQueenie · 07/10/2012 13:09

Hello ladies, I've been a long time lurker Smile

I got my BFP on 31st August and I'm due DC1 on the May 4th (which is a source of great amusement to my Star Wars loving DH)

All good at the moment, apart from the boobs and the constipation!

Looking forward to sharing the ups and downs with you all x

Picklep · 07/10/2012 14:27

Thank you so much Cuppa, there is nothing worse then itchy bits!! I tried the bath with baking soda, so much better! I read in one of my books about pregnancy making us more acidic, yet another lovely symptom. Thanks again Cuppax

TerrorCottaPumpkinPie · 07/10/2012 14:31

Hi all.

Just been catching up.

five so sorry to see your news. Be kind to yourself.

Welcome and congratulations to Elly MsQueenie and Laura. Sorry if I've got anyone wrong (quite a bit to catch up on!). We could probably do with a rewrite of the list.

To those bloating. Ah I do feel your pain! I was awful with the last one and I am so so thankful that this time I'm not getting too much. Of course the nausea is much worse so maybe it wasn't the best trade off!

Pickle like has been said Cansten is fine. Not sure why they wouldn't sell it. Maybe they just dont like selling anything to pg women? I've used it loads in past pregnancies when thrush has been truly awful. I'm on antibiotics right now and I'm dreading thrush appearing. Hopefully it's just an itchy fanjo for you Grin.

So apart from the MS and tiredness I was doing ok (I use ok very loosely). But now the sore boobs have started. Which I would cope with fine but when you have a hungry nearly 10 month old sucking off them it really isn't very nice! And I'm feeling every time his teeth brush against my nipple :(

Hi newbies :)

Love the May 4th EDD MsQ Grin

Terror I can't imagine bfing at the moment, my boobs are so sensitive I can't even put my dressing gown on without a bra! So I commend you Grin

Vickles · 07/10/2012 15:34

Eurgh.. I've got a nasty stomach bug, sickness and diarrhoea! Arrrghhh!

7+6

lauraellajane · 07/10/2012 16:49

Thanks Terror Smile

Oh poor you vickles, sounds nasty Sad

I read this morning that kiwis and hot water with lemon are both good for bloating. So tried both, and along with a bubble bath this afternoon I feel a lot less bloated, hooray! Anyone else got tips?

Bunnychan · 07/10/2012 17:00

I'll have to try hot water & lemon! Thanks for the tip x

wilderumpus · 07/10/2012 17:12

terror! Oh no! good for you for continuing, I am soooo sore with them just exisiting let alone BFing!

oh dear vickles is it norovirus? poor thing!

I have peppermint tea for bloating and just eat lots of fruit and veg. Some days I just seem to balloon though! My friends were 'showing' at around 10 weeks with subsequent pregnancies so... tbh just being preggo at all is such a joy a bit of bloating is Hmm in comparison!

hope everyone is having a lovely day.

rachywhite83 · 07/10/2012 17:55

Feeling horrible today. The thought of a week in work and a 2 hour commute each day is making me want to cry. Can't wait to have more energy and a bump Instead of bloating.

I have CFS/ME and wondered if anyone out there has it of knows anyone who has it and any pregnancy experiences. Really feeling wiped out today with both pregnancy and ME. DH is amazing. Doing all the washing and housework at the moment.

I'm off to bed. Can't cope with being awake anymore !!!

Bunnychan · 07/10/2012 18:43

Is it too soon to start browsing Amazon & EBay for baby things? I'm too scared to buy, I mean to start nosing? (7+2) x

MaybeAMayBaby · 07/10/2012 19:11

Five-I'm so sorry. I too was wondering about you and if you'd told your DH. I hope you get some support from someone x

Congrats to the newbies!

Wiped out. Bloated. Sick. Bad back. Gosh-what fun I am! Seriously. It wasn't this hard last time, was it? I was in maternity clothes by now before. I can't bring myself to get them out. I have a scan in just over a week and for some reason I'm really worried about it. I have no reason to be.
Cuppa-my pregnancy app says you could be able to hear the heart beat with a Doppler now (8 weeks). Where do you actually aim the Doppler? Really low down? I am tempted to try.

Bunny-no harm in looking! I won't need anything this time. If we find out this one is a boy I'll give away the stash of girls clothes I've kept. The amount is ridiculous. Luckily I refused to buy many pink toys!

Still ill. Are our immune systems not working or something?!
