Welcome to the connecting bus ladies, next stop morning sickness, booking in, and dating scans. Grin
Estimated Time of Arrive late May early June 2013.

I know we said we'd wait until the end of the month, But I'm so excited. and hungry, and need a wee again, and nervous, and my boobs hurt, and the voyeuristic spiders are still watching me

We'll keep our FX that we all stay the distance, and our ttc sisters will join us soon.

My mum came round yesterday. I didnt tell her. Grin

Lorelei353 · 15/10/2012 09:55

I don't know how you didn't tell your mum frus. It's been killing me not telling mine on the phone, and she's in a different country!

Full on case of the queasies today. Stood in the shower concentrating on breathing and had to sit on the toilet while moisturising my face. My DH is great, sat me down and brought me breakfast and tea which helped but feel rough again now. Hope if I keep snacking on raisins all day I'll be okay but might pop out to buy some ginger nuts at lunchtime. I just don't want to eat loads of biscuits through the pregnancy and get massive! (vain, I know).

These could be a long 6 weeks if it lasts. Work is going to be torturous. I can barely concentrate!

IBelieveInPonk · 15/10/2012 10:47

Morning all. Not as nauseas today, why is it worse on the weekends?! Boo sickyness
Got my booking in appointment today, v excited. Going to BEG for some sort of check that all is going well in there. Not sure it will work fon what I have heard, but it will drive me nuts waiting another 4 weeks!

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 13:43

Good luck Ponk

I'm not have a good day :-( Woke up this morning feeling very un-pregnant (no particular reason) and then went for normal walk round the block at work at lunchtime. Came back, had wee and then found brown blood mixed with a blob of cm in my pants :-( I've now completely lost the plot and sitting here with my yoghurt pot very worried Sad

Jojoba1986 · 15/10/2012 13:57

Oh pear! I have no experience of bleeding during pregnancy but I have heard than brown blood is old & therefore not necessarily anything to worry about! Have you called for medical advice yet? Maybe try to get a scan arranged! Fx everything's ok!

fashionvictim · 15/10/2012 13:57

Afternoon all (and Geoff)

Oh Pear please don't wish your nausea-free days away. I was the same and then 6 weeks hit and I've felt -sorry for myself- dreadful ever since Sad
Do you have any -side effects- symptoms? Sore boobs?

Ponk what's BEG?? My sickness was awful on Saturday which was wonderful... I've noticed it is worse when I don't sleep well the night before.

I don't know how some of you haven't told your Mums!! That takes some will power. I have to admit I told mine the day after I found out Smile

fashionvictim · 15/10/2012 14:00

Pear I agree with Jojoba fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about. I've read loads of things to say bleeds in the first 12 weeks are common. Did you have an implantation bleed? And would your period be due now if you weren't pg? I've heard you can get little and harmless bleeds around that time too.
Try not to worry but call your GP if you can.

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 14:06

I'm at work so I've left the midwife number at home. Hmm maybe I should get DH to call midwife? I don't know when my period should be (I can only guess it was last week) because I didn't have a period for six months after coming off the pill. Really want to go to the loo again but it's very suspicious to do this at my work :-(

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 14:07

Note to self...always carry midwife number :-( Maybe a lesson for you ladies :-)

Jojoba1986 · 15/10/2012 14:18

Can you find the mw number online? Or try your gp or NHS direct! Hopefully it's nothing to worry about! As for loo breaks, let people get suspicious & then announce you've got a stomach bug & have to go home! Free afternoon! Wink

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 14:21

Jojo you're full of good ideas. Thanks x

Lorelei353 · 15/10/2012 14:33

Hopefully it's nothing pear. Just a bit of spotting. Some women have small bleeds all through their pregnancies (my friend did) without it meaning anything. When my friend was still spotting well into her second trimester she was freaked but was told 'it's just how your body is'. That little boy is now almost 3 and she's had another one since!

fashionvictim · 15/10/2012 14:35

That is a good idea Jojo I went home on Thursday because I was so tired I wanted to cry I had a bad tummy Wink

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 14:35

Thanks Lor FX it's nothing

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 15:02

Ok My star DH rang EPU and they said brown spotting is normal but if it turns red and the amount could fill a pantie liner then we need to call them. Just did another check and no more brown blood....pheweee

Lorelei353 · 15/10/2012 15:04

Yay. Glad you got some reassurance pear and no more signs of anything.

bringonthetrumpets · 15/10/2012 15:51

Pear, sometimes it can be from dtd too, if that's happened anytime in the past few days.

IBelieveInPonk · 15/10/2012 16:14

Oh pear how scary for you. Poor you. Hope you are feeling a little better now you have had some reassurance.
I had my appointment, and unfortunately didn't get any checks at all! Boo. Just need to wait for a scan date. Was fun though, feels a little more real now.
Note for others who have not yet had booking in- you will need to pee in a pot. I didn't know this, and struggled to muster even a tiny pee. Blush

Lorelei353 · 15/10/2012 16:21

Glad your appt went well ponk. I get the impression mine will be like that too - a chat and pee in a cup. Thankfully the receptionist did warn me I'd need to give a sample when I made the appt.

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 16:52

Ponk also glad to hear your appt went well. It is a bit of a let down when they only want urine!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 15/10/2012 17:04

Well I have decided that i am definately going to the doctors tomorrow. I can't handle this level of nausea any more.

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 17:12

Oh Frus :-( Probably a very good idea!

Thundernonk · 15/10/2012 17:58

Hi all!

ponk, that surprises me and distresses me, I'm not a neat pot pee-er , I thought my mw said she will take blood at my appt on Thurs. hmmmm

pear, what a relief. Not a fun day for you. I had heard some bleeding can be very normal but it's still good to hear it formally!

Good frus, get to it and hopefully they can help you feel better x

peardrop2 · 15/10/2012 19:22

Thunder they took urine and blood at mine attempted to take blood but epic fail

bringonthetrumpets · 15/10/2012 20:45

Have you tried "sea bands" frus ? Currently wearing a fancy pair myself and they seem to be working pretty well.
