Yeah, I'm with you on the fat/fluid retention, it can't be a tiny ball of cells doing this. I am wearing trousers that usually look like clown trousers on me, such a relief after wearing tights yesterday and coming home with a stomach that looked like a shelf >:( I have to pee all the time but no sore boobs and no sickness to speak of, I feel like a fraud. But I'm seeing my GP on Thursday, she'll officialise it.

olimoss · 16/10/2012 12:55

Think I'm lucky in escaping the worst of MS but it takes work - if I even begin to get a little hungry I start to feel very ill and nauseous, but eating sorts it out.

Is that normal? I'm going to be enormous if it keeps up!

pinkapples · 16/10/2012 13:48

Woohoo 1st apt with midwife on 5th November Grin she said it would take 1 hours ill be 8+6 then x

RedSaucePlease · 16/10/2012 15:11

Curiosity and Lyftiduft - Thank you very much for your replies. I will phone my GP and see what I need to do. It appears that every area has different procedures and much has changed since I had my son only two years ago :-)

Curiosity - Lets hope that both our little beans are in the correct area this time and that we have non-eventful pregnancies. It is not until you get talking to other women that you realise how common ectopic pregnancies are and that we are not alone. I am trying to focus on one week at a time. I hope that you are not feeling too nervous.

RedSaucePlease · 16/10/2012 15:14

Pinkapples -That is great news, roll on November 5th. I don't think I will believe it until I have my first appointment.

ExpatMamaToBe · 16/10/2012 17:55

Hi everybody, I'm 5 weeks today - so early, I know, but it's my first pg so even though it's just the beginning, every day is a new experience and a lot of excitement.

I've been running errands all day and at some point (after climbing a steep hill) I could feel a quite strong pressure in my lower belly. It wasn't even pain as much as tension. I took it easy afterwards and it stopped. Hope everything's ok.

I wonder when my first appointment is going to be, I'm going to see my GP on Monday and get the secret 'pregnancy in Italy' itinerary - he wouldn't give it to me yesterday before getting the urine test results back.

Re Facebook group, an admin sets up a group and can add her friends to it. Because it's a secret group, it's not possible to find it in SEARCH.

ella0 · 16/10/2012 18:04

Hi all,

I'm 6 + 1 now and still no morning sickness (I've been making sure I eat something small at least every couple of hours though) and I don't feel much more tired than usual. The only symptom I have is the darker rings around my nipples and doing little burps (when I never normally burp).

I can make an appointment next week; I hope the next 6 weeks go by fast.

MummyTeach85 · 16/10/2012 18:18

Am ecstatic today, my 3+ on clear blue digi came up in 30 seconds!! I know in the grand scheme of things this means nothing but actually it means a lot!!

In other news if you hear if a brutal murder of a motorist in SE London by a deranged women it was me! An idiot decided that stopping behind the bus and not over taking because of on coming traffic was a stupid idea and he proceeded to honk his horn histericaly at me. Needless to say some expletives were yelled and threats on his life made. If I ever see this guy again I can't speak highly of his survival rate.

MummyTeach85 · 16/10/2012 18:23

P.S am also up for a Facebook group. And the secret ones are fine, depending on your settings you might have to unhide yourself for a short time to be invited but you can change it back. You can't search for me by name or email. As a teacher it is too risky.

Islandpeach · 16/10/2012 19:06

Hi all, feeling very tired everyday about 3ish, constantly hungry. I'm now 6 and a half weeks, time seems to be passing very slowly, 12 weeks seems a long way off. happy with an fb group. We suddenly seem to be having house renovations in every room of our house - which we were planning, but the chaos is driving me mad, mess everywhere and nowhere to sit down!!!

llamallama · 16/10/2012 19:26

I'm up for a fb group.

A few days ago I was working out on a bit if paper how old my DD and baby #2 will be in the next few years, working out maternity leave and thinking when DD will get nursery hours, that sort of thing.

Today my nanny found the bit of paper and confronted me on it :( I'm only 6 weeks and we have only had the nanny 2 months! I did not items on her finding out like this. I think she was a bit disappointed as she was hoping the job would be for longer but now knows it will end come May. I mean she would have known soon enough anyway but I had hoped for it to be at least a couple more weeks. I feel really embarrassed that she found our by accident and basically by me being careless and not tidying up properly.

I just hope she stays and doesn't start looking for a new job already.

PseudoBadger · 16/10/2012 19:37

Oh dear Llama, I had an awkward conversation with my childminder this evening as she was worried I'm going to stop sending DS to her when my mum retires in December. I reassured her and felt very guilty!

dreamydays · 16/10/2012 19:56

So I had my early scan today, at 6+6. Very reassuring: pregnancy in the right place, one heart-beat (tho I was secretly half-hoping for 2!) and CRL of 6mm which is right for dates. I'm v pleased about the CRL as 4 months ago a low CRL at this stage was the first sign I was going to miscarry.

So for once I'm feeling a little less worried! :) But it's a long wait til the next scan on 23 Nov.

I live in France, and the gyn prescribed Domperidone (Motilium) for my MS. I've just been googling and see it's not authorised during pg in the US. In the UK it is authorised but seems to be several down the list. So I'm wondering whether I should just shoulder on without it. Does anyone have thoughts?

Sorry for the me me me post. llama sorry about your nanny, how awkward. mummyteach congrats!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 16/10/2012 20:02

dreamy I'd go with it. But I'm in the uk, so is on our safe list. personally I'd trust uk advice

pinkapples · 16/10/2012 20:16

That's fab dreamy really pleased for you Grin

MummyTeach85 · 16/10/2012 20:26

Thanks dreamy.

What does crl mean?

dreamydays · 16/10/2012 21:06

CRL is crown to rump length - see the great link someone shared a few days ago: baby2see.com/development/ultrasound_sonogram/first_trimester_scans.html#week6

Thanks frustrated I do trust UK advice (I'm British) but am super-cautious paranoid Anyway I've now dug out some of those travel sickness wristbands so will give them a chance first...

PseudoBadger · 16/10/2012 21:47

3rd night in a row that I'm in bed before 10! I do get up at 5 though.

thedevilisinthedetail · 16/10/2012 22:30

That's a lovely link dreamy.

I feel so dreadful I didn't go to work on Monday. Went to the doc for flu jab and she took one look at me and signed me off for the week. I only work two days and the others I am at home with dd3 and ds1. feel like a fraud not going to work but am signed off and do feel I am going mad. Don't remember feeling this dreadful...though was really sick with my other two!

Didn't have a scan in the end. They are going to scan in a couple of weeks assuming it will be my 12 week scan so will see then.

I'd be interested in a fb group!

Hope everyone else is feeeling a bit better than I am!

SecretSparkle · 17/10/2012 09:31

Hi ladies

I'd like to tentatively mark my place on this thread!! Got a a BFP at the weekend, confirmed with digital on Monday. I think I'm due around 22nd June, this is my first, having taken exactly 12 months to conceive!!! soooo hoping nothing goes wrong!!!

flutterby123 · 17/10/2012 10:13

dreamydays that's a great link!
Well I started feeling really sick on Saturday night and am only this morning starting to feel normal again. I feel like the only thing I can stomach is satsumas! I suppose it could be worse, at least they've got VitC in them! How's everyone else feeling?
Congratulations SecretSparkle! It's really exciting and terrifying at the same time isn't it!
I've got my GP appointment on Monday (will be roughly 8 weeks by then I think! but it was the soonest I could get when I phoned 3 weeks ago) so hoping that goes fine. I know I'm meant to see the midwife at 8 weeks so a bit concerned I get a telling off for leaving it so late. I'm sure it'll be fine though.
Is anyone taking any extra vitamins? Are they neccessary? What's your views ladies! I have started eating special K for breakfast for the folic acid!

suzyrut · 17/10/2012 10:27

Hi all been a while since I posted, lovely to see so many others expecting in June.

I have a follow up early pregnancy scan at 6.30 tonight and am absolutely terrified as had a rubbish experience at the last one and my pregnancy symptoms seem to be dwindling (boobs less sore, don't feel sick at all today). Have spent the last few days making myself paranoid via dr google!

Have anyone else's symptoms been up and down?

MrsJLS85 · 17/10/2012 13:11

Hi everyone, still feeling absolutely dreadful. Went to GP today and they found ketones in my urine, and gave me some anti-sickness medication. Really really hope this sorts me out! Booking in appointment later this week and am so excited!!

Congrats dreamy on lovely early scan, and good luck suzy for tonight

TheBakersWife · 17/10/2012 14:05

Hi all, hope everyone's good? I am soooooo tired today, seem to have reached maximum exhaustion, need to stay awake though so I don't miss the school run!! Seeing my gp tmrw morning, can't really remember when the midwife appointments begin. Must say its lovely to be able to talk pg to you all, so desperately want to tell my friends but the dc's should be first to know! x

PseudoBadger · 17/10/2012 14:21

Hi everyone! Well I feel pretty good, but I'm expecting that to change any time, as I got sick from 6 to 18 weeks with DS! So I'm trying to enjoy every day :)
