We're hard to find. I know I'm good from the reaction I've had from colleagues and SUs. Unfortunately, management think minimum wage + all 11 finishes to 7 starts = happy Pidjie!

I want real rock and roll :)

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/09/2012 18:18

Haha thanks pidj that was my absolute favourite song when I was little, I used to run up and down the room/dance floor whenever it came on. A friend at uni used to always put it on really loud when he was drunk and his room was above mine, once I saw a tv fly past the window when it was on. Excellent choice.

Fluid has gone down a bit and I'm at 20.4 afi apparently 23.8 afi is the 95th percentile so hopefully it's correcting itself. Saw my little munchkin number 2 again which was lovely, she is still head down possibly due to all my bouncing and leaning on the ball at night times. My iron count is 10.1 so I've got to get that up in the next 4 weeks or they'll be putting me on iron which I don't want.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/09/2012 18:21

Somehow Brian Ferry 'let's stick together' made it onto my playlist last time!?!? I think I was trying to make myself laugh too.

PurplePidjin · 24/09/2012 18:49

I'm on 3x305mg ferrous fumarate per day

SpottyTeacakes · 24/09/2012 19:07

Argh the hire car is a Mercedes automatic Confused I've never driven an automatic, or a Merc!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/09/2012 19:13

Spotty autos are alright and I promise you only put your foot on the brake thinking its the clutch once Grin

Eating fish and chips for dinner probably cancels out the work I did at Zumba doesn't it? Lol

SpottyTeacakes · 24/09/2012 19:17

The brake pedal is massive!

Umm chips = carbs which are essential for energy and fish = protein and lots of other good stuff Grin

coffeeandcream · 24/09/2012 19:22

Evening evryone and thanks for the welcome Smile

I only get to check on MN in the evenings, its amazing how quickly these threads move!!

I finally got my appointment through with the specialist midwife for mental health - they flagged me up at my 8 week booking in appointment as likely to need some monitoring. I'm now into week 31 ... doesn't fill me with confidence Confused. But better late than never.

Hope we're all well x

SpottyTeacakes · 24/09/2012 19:23

oops forgot to welcome you coffee Grin At least now they've made contact you should be able to see her as often as you need to, even if it has taken a ridiculously long time!

HoneyMum21 · 24/09/2012 19:31

Sorry, i've been bad and not welcomed you either Coffee - been somewhat preoccupied over the weekend. (bad mumsnetter).

I don't think these antibitics are doing anything for me other than making me sick Sad

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/09/2012 20:12

coffee sorry I am useless and managed not to welcome you, feel very rude now! At least you've finally got an appointment. I got flagged as had depression as a teen and pnd with ds. But the central team are happy that I'm alright and I've got details of who to contact should I need help. Hopefully they'll be able to give you some good support!

Thanks spotty for the fish and chip info, I am now happily justifying it to myself lol.

Bath and bed for me as all alone! :( can't wait until DH is back next mon!

kate2boysandabump · 24/09/2012 20:44

Spotty I'm so sorry, I forgot to ask if you're OK after your accident? (bad mumsnetter)

SpottyTeacakes · 24/09/2012 20:56

That's ok kate I'm ok ribs are a bit better just trying not to sneeze or hiccup! Also mega stressed at the super rich broker who slammed into us but won't admit liability, I actually cable describe how angry I am but I have had a constant headache since it happened. On the plus side baby is moving lots since so that's good Smile sorry I could rant for hours about this Blush

coffeeandcream · 24/09/2012 21:44

Hello spotty, honey and stacey

Yes, am glad the appointment has come through at last. I had tow lots of depression in my teens and it truely was the worst time of my life. I'm shit scared of getting pnd and just want to know I won't be left to struggle again.

My LO is kicking the crap out of me, so am off for a bath, usually helps.

Night all x

CODwidow · 24/09/2012 21:52

Evening everyone Grin well mw appt tomorrow when I'll be 28+6 had my iron levels checked last week so hoping to get the results back although not feeling too bad now.

Nursery wise we have furniture but not decided what colours to do yet so must sort that and get hubby painting as I hate it with a passion. Other than that and my hospital bag we have everything ready and started my Xmas shopping so I won't have that to worry about either Smile

Stacks · 24/09/2012 22:17

Does anyone else on this thread have almost nothing for baby, and feeling relaxed about it? I have a travel system and a few clothes from my sister. The only thing I've purchased is one outfit. I just can't get stressed about it, there's plenty of time and not much needed for those first few days right?

Welcome coffee I hope your appointment is worth the wait and you get some good support from here.

Strawberry your nursery sounds amazing. I need to decorate ours still, it's currently varying shades of brown... Has been since we moved in 4 years ago Blush

Spotty hope the soreness goes soon, and that the idiot that hit you owns up to it. It annoys me so much when people lie about these things; he is in the wrong, why would anyone lie and blame an innocent person?? My dad had to go to court over a disputed claim, and it just made me so angry! They ran a red light and smashed into the side of his car. Sigh.

MaMaPo · 24/09/2012 22:52

Hello all - I introduced myself over a week ago and then promptly disappeared off on holiday so thanks to all the welcomes. We had a lovely final pre-baby holiday that involved lots of sleeping in, lying by the pool, eating delicious food and generally enjoying each other's company. Just what was required. Of course, work has already put paid to the amazing sense of relaxation and calm that I had built up!

After being almost bump-free for around 22 weeks I feel like at 28 weeks I am making up with a vengeance! The little one abandoned its usual pattern of evening activity and instead just pummelled me all day. I have an appointment on Thurs and the dr usually does a quick scan, so I might ask him whether there's a foot permanently under the right ribcage or if it's another organ which seems to have been pushed out of place.

Stacks I'm with you. So far, if this baby turned up tomorrow it would have a couple of things to wear, but nothing for sleeping in, changing, transport... I haven't done a thing. There is a long list to be made in terms of things to research and purchase, including paperwork (citizenship and passport-y stuff) but I haven't even got around to making that list! I need to make a list that has 'make baby list' on it!

OK, random question. Have your belly buttons popped? And if so, when did it happen?

EggsMichelle · 25/09/2012 00:13

Welcome Coffee ans MaMaPo!

My belly button goes in and out through the day, it's gross! I had a hernia as a child so you would think I would be used to seeing it, but it's just wrong!

After my declaration that I would decorate over the weekend, I didn't even buy the paint, had a proper lazy one (it was lovely!). Must organise for this weekend, FIL is coming just to paint and he won't be happy if furniture hasn't been moved and masking tape not down.

On the plus side, I have finally finished knitting Shrimpy's cardigan, even has poppers on, and have put it in his draws.

There is no gratitude for front line workers, teachers get a really shit deal and I respect you guys for doing the job, children are 20 times harder than mental health patients (deceptively easy group of people to work with). I love what I do, and dont expect prizes and rewards, but a thank you occasionally wouldn't go amiss!

EggsMichelle · 25/09/2012 00:15

Oh and I'm wide awake cause I stupidly drank a bottle of lucozade I found in the cupboard, oops!

Secondsop · 25/09/2012 01:20

stacks I've got barely anything yet. I only have a few knitted things that relatives have given me.

monsterchild · 25/09/2012 02:13

I also have almost nothing for kidlet. Some blankets from my sister and a change of clothes. But I'm really not planning on having him until later in December!

he's kicking like a footballer though. Ugh!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/09/2012 03:33

My belly button hasn't popped, it didn't last time either just went kind of flat. It still grosses me out though!

We still need a pushchair, which is currently out if stock Sad, and a mattress otherwise I think we're done on essentials. Oh and some nappies!

Can't sleep again Angry

Flumpy2012 · 25/09/2012 04:15

Hello

Please can I join? I'm due dec 21st but we've already had pre term labour several times which has been stopped with drugs.

I'm having a DD, a year in the making! Sadly my exp left 3 months ago so I'm doing this alone which I find white daunting.

Currently awake with insufferable heartburn and can't take gaviscon :-(

Have everything all ready for DD just some organising to do really Smile xx

SpottyTeacakes · 25/09/2012 04:18

Welcome Flumpy sorry to hear about your ex I'm sure you'll be fine Smile heartburn sucks can you get something from the doctor?

Flumpy2012 · 25/09/2012 04:28

Thank you Smile

The heartburn is awful, constant 24-7 for about a month now. Doctors want me to ride it out as remedies aren't good with renal problems which I have Sad

I try to look on the positive side. At least all this being awake in the middle of the night is preparation!

Is anyone starting to freak out a little about birth yet? Xx
