Stunt Wine ?

horseylady · 08/09/2012 17:52

The nursery is painted!!!!!!! My dad and dh did it today while I was at my exam!!!!! Getting the furniture tomorrow eeeeekkkkk!!!!!!

Wrt kicks, I don't get kicked half as much now as I did 6 weeks ago, at 28 weeks it became more movement rather than kick based. Still the same amount if feelings just definately different if that makes sense? Now it's more shuffles and wiggled with the odd kick thrown in than actual full blown kicks!! I still get a few (in my ribs!!) but not like I used too!!

ValiumQueen · 08/09/2012 17:53

I had a glass of wine last night. Boy kicked lots initially, then he fell asleep. He was kicking and pushing so hard I was sore too. Obviously not good for regular relief.

evening ladies.

well grandads funeral on thursday was lovely, he had everything he wanted. even though it was a very emotional day i think he would be smiling up there as it was a lovely turn out. i was surprised how many people came to pay their respects it was very touching.
watching my mum so upset broke my heart though and then seeing my macho brother burst into tears really opened up the flood gates for me. (but what did make me feel a little lifted was when i looked down with my heaving crys and seeing my bump bounce up and down) thank you bump

31 weeks tomorrow here and cant believe i have only 9 weeks left. hopefully when i go to midwife at 34 weeks she will no longer be breech.

is anyone having weird feelings when they walk?? like your whole insides are going to fall out? pressure in ur pubic bone? i had this with DD but not this early if i can remember.

hope everyone is well and having a lovely weekend.

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/09/2012 18:19

missmummy did you ring the mw?

I still feel movement alot and this morning was watching her poke her little bum right out it was really fascinating to watch!

We've got our car seat and base now, feel a bit more relaxed about that.

Passmethecrisps · 08/09/2012 18:31

Hmm. I have a big advert for a pelvic toner. Is MN trying to tell me something?

We had people for lunch today and the whole time they were here baby lay sideways sticking his/her head right out. When I put my hand there you could properely feel the head. Very weird. Having a small glass of wine now but baby had calmed down anyway. I think we hav a show off on our hands as movements are greatest when people are around.

Right. Need to clear up left over pizza and hot fudge cake.

MissMummy1 · 08/09/2012 19:13

Thanks all for the advice. I haven't phoned mw as typically right after posting felt 2/3 biggish kicks - maybe something to do with the pint of icy water i downed in a bid to get them to wriggle. yw doing your diagram thingy and i'm amazed by how many little tiny movements I missed. Still nothing like the huge big kicks I had been feeling all the time, but then again the small movements I'm feeling are now much higher up so can only assume my anterior placenta is muffling the big movements. Will keep an eye on it and definitely mention it to my mw on tuesday (and phone before hand if I get myself in a panic again!)

kirrinIsland · 08/09/2012 19:44

Glad you feel better missmummy

jaylee I feel like then I walk, it's really quite uncomfortable. I also think it's much earlier than with DD - I'm sure I was at least 8 months when I started feeling like that with her. I was starting to wonder if baby is now head down?

StuntNun · 08/09/2012 19:49

Jaylee glad to hear things went well today.

Blue and VQ I indulged yesterday so I'm off the sauce until next weekend now. Yesterday I had a Tolly English Ale from Tesco, only 1.4 units in the 500 ml bottle. Result!

God, I'm jealous!

At 32 weeks I still have massive movements! My whole belly changes shape, the baby kicks, punches, rolls, and does full on flips still! There doesn't seem to be much let up on the movements 24/7.

It is sore, and tiring now! I would like to be able to sit down or go to bed or just function with out wincing every 2 minutes! It's a friggin' strong one in there! I'm sure DS wasn't this active!! My colleagues think I'm just a wimp! I'm not - it HURTS!

It ramped up at 28 weeks to be honest, and got stronger than before! I got the rib kicks around 30 weeks and since then it has been strong and hard movements!!

Along with a growth spurt which happened around 30 weeks too!

GTbaby · 09/09/2012 00:54

It's taken me all day to catch up after two busy days! Obviously not continuous reading. Grin

Anyway. My movements seem to b changing to well big movements rather then Kicks. Kinda belly pushing rather then kick. Iyswim.

Got my baby shower tomoro ! Can't wait. Grin. So looking forward to it. Spesh as I know my sister has gone to a huge effort. Decorated house with balloons n bunting matching my chosen theam of hungry caterpillar. Yummy food including sweet trees , a special cake, n some of my favs. I made a quiz , so my sister can take part. A piñata ( thing u hit with a stick n sweets fall out!) n so many of my fav ppl. N maybe a few non favs who are political invites haha! -mil-

mqS I totally know where u are coming from. Similar situation here. Seeing as u are moving rooms Ensure ur DH also swops all cupboard contents. Having ppl come in to 'get something ' is annoying. Been there and causes issues! Just swop when u move into the new room. Also DH can tell bil that he can not use washroom anymore and he should be blunt n say because u need space to breastfeed.

Does ur mum live far? Im going to stay with my mum for a week after. But am lucky as they live close, so DH can drop by if he wants. As much as DH will miss u and the little one, I would consider going to mums , even if just a few nights. Just to get some space and ur mum will want some baby time as well! Without the mil watching over her!
Like I said I'm goin thro the same. If u ever want to pm me n talk pls feel free too. Smile.

DesperateHousewife21 · 09/09/2012 07:37

When do babies go head down usually? I can't remember with ds and I'm pretty sure this baby isn't yet (29+5 today) so I'm sure I've got plenty of time.

horseylady · 09/09/2012 08:36

Dh21 all the literature says different things!!!! On average about months 7-8. Later on 2nd preg.

Saw jimmy carr last night, felt really uncomfortable being out in town feeling huge and scruffy!! Was shattered (still am though had fab sleep!) I hope the next 7 weeks fly as fast as the rest of the pregnancy!!!

We collect nursery furniture today!!!

MissMummy1 · 09/09/2012 08:52

Going for a walk with my friend and her dogs today. We used to do it every weekend and take them for a huge hike in the pentlands. Reeeeeally hoping she's not expecting that today! I'm a bit sore this morning (junior shifted AGAIN last night) and I genuinely think a stroll round the park is about all I'll manage Blush. This is the friend I awkwardly told I was 6 months pregnant at my last dentist appointment. Last time I saw her properly was about a year ago when I was still a wreckless student and DP and I were going through a really rough patch that ended in us separating for a month. A lot can change in a year....

Iheartpasties · 09/09/2012 08:59

I am happily baking today, stress free. DH has taken DD out! Hurrah! I am off to a baby shower this afternoon and I am pretty excited. I get to dress up nice, put on some make up, try and do something nice with my hair and then hang out woth friends. There are 5 of us who are all pregnant and due at similar times. One girl is due at the end of the month so this is why we are having the party now. The other gilrs are all due within a week of me :) we're all in a mums group together. I am making shortbread cookies and I'm going to ice some blue and some pink. I have never even tried this before so fingers crossed they turn out good!!! I know lots of people hate baby showers, but this is more of a get together and it's something I am looking forward to. I didnt have anything when I was pregnant first time so this feels proper special. I had such a miserable beginning to the week and now it feels nice to pull myself out of my moody slump and be positive!

horseylady · 09/09/2012 09:09

Ah have fun at all your baby showers!!!!

I won't have one, Im not whether I want one?! Having never been to one!! Plus none if my close girly friends are at points if getting pregnant!! I've not seen two of them for months!! They keep saying we must meet but were all having issues taking up our time :( hopefully post baby!! I just feel fat currently so don't want to see anyone!!

Passmethecrisps · 09/09/2012 09:28

Hooray for prettification and baby showers. Have fun pasties

My baby was head down at my 28 week app. It is now head up (I think) because I can feel a round thing just below my right ribs.

Enjoy your walk mm looks like nice weather for it. It is amazing how things change in a very short space of time.

DH seems to be going through a phase of wanting to invite every friend we have round for lunch before baby is born. I am not site if he thinks we will never socialise again.

I have been slowly ticking off big jobs at work which really means ticking off the weeks. I got a shock when looking at my calender planning jobs - only 4 weeks left! One of my posts has been advertised - very strange feeling indeed. I have made up a month by month to do list for whoever gets my post. Me, a control freak?

StuntNun · 09/09/2012 10:16

Idiot DH turned on one of the kitchen taps full blast when I was in the shower this morning and now I have scalded toesies.Sad I just about managed to get my belly out of the way of the hot water at least. I wouldn't be so annoyed but he was completely unrepentant, just said he didn't know I was in the shower and that I should stop crying. This is while I was standing in the middle of the bathroom with shampoo running down my body! He'll never accept responsibility for doing something wrong, it's much easier to attack me for crying about being scalded; I'm more annoyed about his response than about my sore toes.

Passmethecrisps · 09/09/2012 10:50

Aw stunt, that's horrid. Of course you should be annoyed at his attitude. It might have been an accident but surely he's sorry you are hurt regardless of the cause. Maybe tell him you are annoyed at him - not for turning on the tap but for his complete lack of empathy.

applepieinthesky · 09/09/2012 10:56

stunt sounds like my DP, he seems to think if it was an accident I have no right to be annoyed with him or in pain Hmm Yeh because it doesn't hurt at all if it was an accident right?

YellowWellies · 09/09/2012 11:07

passme that round thing under your ribs could be their bum - as they have their legs tucked up now so it's quite easy to confuse the head and the arse.

stunt sorry what an arse! I'd have been throwing things by this point I think.

Well I've had a weekend with lots of movement - including for the first time a visible hand - which pinched me for about an hour, on and off, yesterday.

Had a lovely evening watching Last Night of the Proms whilst DP gave me a massage last night. Ahhhhhh. Can you tell he's off island for the last cricket match of the season a piss up in a remote Sutherland pub with the boys today? His last shore leave until Junior arrives. Grin

Passmethecrisps · 09/09/2012 11:15

Hmm, good point YW. I think all the chocolate fudge cake I ate yesterday give him a sugar rush as he was busy for hours. I would LOVE to see a proper body part like a hand or foot. I wasn't sure that actually happened.

No plans for today other than buying cat litter which DH always sells to me as "would you like to go and look at some hamsters?" He knows the way to my heart!

Thechick · 09/09/2012 11:23

I'm off to the Thames festival today. Should be fun just walking around in the sunshine, next weekend is the Lambeth country show, which I love and weekend after is the open house weekend. Times like this I love living in London.

Peaky1 · 09/09/2012 11:25

What happens at baby showers? I found out by accident last night that there's a surprise shower being organised for me. What a div, for no particular reason I started nosing at dp mum's calendar and saw it written on for end of September. Still didn't understand when I turned to the dp and asked what was going on as he had a face like it was the end of the world! Doh!
