Wow congratulations velo and welcome to the world little Max!

smileyhappymummy you always have such great words of support. Hope your ligaments recover soon, sounds like we're both a bit like weebles losing our balance!

Londonmrss · 25/09/2012 18:52

Velo!!! Congratulations on the birth of baby Max! Can't wait to hear the whole story when you have time. Hope you're all doing well.

Also impatient to hear news from the ladies who'll meet their babies today- hope you're all doing well.

I'm getting really impatient to meet my baby now! But not quite 36 weeks yet, so she needs to stay in there for a couple more weeks.

Much love to you all xx

WantAnOrange · 25/09/2012 20:25

YAY! Congratulations Velo!!!! The very first one. Grin

CWest30 · 25/09/2012 20:29

Hi all

Very quick post just to let you know that all is fine - Naomi Louise West was born at 10:37am weighing 4lb 10oz. In special care (expected) but doing ok I am off to see her again in a while.

And I am extremely proud of myself, I opted for the epidural/spinal block in the end and it was the most surreal amazing thing I have ever experienced....

Will post full story another time, but big congrats velo, angelico and lisbeth I hope all is ok, and thinking of you elpis xxx

WantAnOrange · 25/09/2012 20:35

More babies! Congratulations Cwest. 4lb 10oz? Squeeeel! I bet she's adorable, can just imagine such tiny toes! Grin

That's it, I want mine now......Envy

londonlivvy · 25/09/2012 20:47

Oh yay velo and cwest what fabulous news. Yay.

Grins.

bella2012 · 25/09/2012 20:50

ah cwest!! Soooooo happy for you! You are amazingly brave-I am so pleased you got the birth experience you wanted in the end. thank you so much for popping in to tell us your wonderful news!! Welcome welcome little naomi! Thrilled to bits for you!

Is it anyone's due date tomorrow?

squid are you there?? I have a feeling it has all kicked off! Hope so!

I have ended up having lots of fun with my little scamp this arvo. He is so funny and daft so am seeing today as an extra blessing, even though tomorrow is going to be completely shitty at work now!

Ah so happy that our first boy and girl are here!

Elpis · 25/09/2012 20:50

Congratulations CWest30 and Velo - so glad both babies are OK and hope Naomi comes out of special care soon and you can hold her.

Taken my pre-op pills and due to be at the hospital for 7.30am tomorrow. I keep feeling him move and hoping he doesn't mind being taken out early... I don't feel quite huge enough to justify it... but I hope I've done the right thing in not attempting a VBAC. Silly to worry about that now.

Midgetm · 25/09/2012 20:55

Oh blimey, more babies. Cwest so happy for you and so impressed you went for the epidural with all your fears. Heres hoping she is out of special care and with you soon.

Elpis sending you some big hugs for tomorrow. You can rely on me to have tea and toast for you when you go in.

bella2012 · 25/09/2012 21:07

oh good luck tomorrow elpis, I thought you were today! Will be thinking of you and sending good luck wishes! Try not to fret- everyone I know who has opted for a section instead of vbac has been really pleased with their choice. Good luck and much love x

smileyhappymummy · 25/09/2012 21:11

cwest congratulations! Thats a brilliant weight, bet she won't be in scbu for too long.... Have they given you any idea when you might be able to take her home? Bet she is absolutely gorgeous. Well done you on going for th epidural too, must have been a scary decision. Hope you're feeling ok. Has ds been in to see you and Naomi yet?
elpis good luck! Am certain he will be just fine. Hope you get some sleep tonight!
Feeling so excited and happy for everyone and their babies tonight. Can someone tell me where to go for the Facebook group as well please?

smileyhappymummy · 25/09/2012 21:12

Btw elpis even before I had children I always thought I'd go for repeat section rather than vbac after reading through all the evidence. I think it's a close run thing but that's what I'd plump for.

hufflepuffle · 25/09/2012 21:14

My post deleted itself!!!

Congratulations Velo!!!! And welcome little small baby Max!!! Glad you all hone and safe!!

FjordMor · 25/09/2012 21:47

So glad I managed to check in, despite a madly busy day...Congratulations Velo SmileSmile! So stoked you had a quick & 'easy' delivery & a big welcome to baby Max!

Also CWest - I'm so pleased you decided on the local bloc and have had such an amazing experience giving birth to little Naomi! Smile I hope she's doing really well in special care and look forward to hearing your 'full story' when you have time to tell it Smile.

I started my day at the midwife's office. After multiple pummellings by several different MWs, it was decided my LO is fully engaged, which is good Smile. Unfortunately, my urine had +++blood, leukocytes & protein in so I had to go up & see the doc. Long story short, I'm now on antibiotics for a UTI & treatment for suspected thrush. Not an entirely ideal scenario 6 days from giving birth but I'm glad it was spotted. Feel bad that the Trimethoprim will pass through the placenta but I'm guessing it's safer for me to be infection free for her birth. Spent the rest of the day gathering in remaining things for hospital bag & baby's arrival, came home, made a curry and now trying to sort the flat out a bit.

Elpis - thinking of you big time tomorrow & hanging out for news from Angelico & lisbeth. So exciting now everyone's babies are being born!!

Love to everyone else xx

Smorgs · 25/09/2012 22:00
