Two questions if anyone can help. Firstly has anyone heard of a link between PCOS and difficulties in breastfeeding?

Second question have been having discomfort in my hips for ages, when I get up and start moving can be quite difficult like i've been working out and all stiff. Last night tho was slightly different as well as normal discomfort I had an even worse pain just above my right hip at the back. I've had what I think was BH but they have been tightenings at the front and I always thought labour pain and more painful BH would be across the entire body not just on one side, so any ideas? or had I just overdone it yesterday?

Ladies, I'm pretty sure my waters just went, and things are kicking off. Didn't need to go out and eat that curry after all! Going to go and try and get some sleep for the first part of the night at least. Will report back in due course (or more probably, get up in a few hours time and spend the rest of the night on mumsnet saying ow, grr, dammit, hurry up).

Cakes - can't help with the first one. Second one - could be sciatica? even though it's above your hip, not below - think it's more likely you've overdone it than it's any kind of contraction.

KPT - exciting for you too! not the obstetric colitis, that's not nice - but new baby!

Oh no, MissPolly, I've got those tea bags, are they totally useless? Not really sure how to prepare looseleaf tea . Has anyone tried the capsules instead? What strength / doseage are you using?

Bit worried cos MW confirmed baby is back to back yesterday. There's still time for it to turn at 36 weeks but as it's been in this position for ages I'm not that hopeful. What will be, will be I guess.

ShallWe you can buy metal strainers for looseleaf tea, or make your own bags using muslin scraps (just tie a bit of string around it to close, and you can reuse them) or you can buy special empty tea bags to make them up yourself. I'm lazy thought - I just plop it straight in the water and drink around the floaty bits :o

Thanks fluffy I'll try buying the tea online - I like to avoid shopping in town if I can, my feet and hips can't take too much action these days!!

Sooo looking forward to having a bit of choice in what I wear again and now understand the women I previously thought were crazy for pushing their prams around wearing high heels, I do not want to wear trainers for anything other than exercise EVER AGAIN!!!

...or at least a few days...

Just dropping in quickly too- about to go to yoga birth workshop for partners as well as mums so DP is being educated too and we've just scraped all the peeling paint off the bathroom Walls- v satisfying

Have you tried a warm bath?? paracetamol? TENS? Glass of wine?

After 2 nights of no sleep with horrid practice contractions and the baby squirming, last night I did the bath/paracetamol/tens and wine combo. I was asleep by 8:30 and only woke twice.
Baby is back to back and feels like it is corkscrewing down in to my pelvis. The pain in my back and abdomen over the last 48 hours has been excruciating.
I am trying to be positive about the fact it is obviously trying to turn in to a better position and get itself ready for imminent eviction

Right I am getting very of all of you who are having contractions. The rest of you are forbidden to have any until I am....I'm not due til the 18th
