I see sad. And mine work ok.

Also, detective I have never heard Small Bump but I just looked it up. I am never listening to that song ever in my whole life ever because i will cry like a big girl's blouse and be all snottery.

Passmethecrisps · 01/08/2012 09:28

Well, valium sounds like we are on a promise Wink

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 09:28

I see horsey winking too. Better than seeing dead people I guess.

Passmethecrisps · 01/08/2012 09:29

I could look on husband's iPad if you like.

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 09:29

See what happens with a grin pass. Grin

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 09:30

At least I can grin properly. Please do look pass

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/08/2012 09:33

I see a sad face and I'm on my iPhone. Don't know if that helps at all!

Passmethecrisps · 01/08/2012 09:33

Right. Checked it - all emoticons present and correct. How peculiar

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 09:35

newIdentity has saved the day. Apparently the iPad can do things if you do not turn it off. I did not even know you could turn it off. Normal service now resumed Blush

Passmethecrisps · 01/08/2012 09:50

Ah, the old 'turn it off then on again' rule. I did a degree in just that.

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 09:51

With the old TVs you could give them a thump. Not sure I would try that with a plasma though.

Chunkychicken · 01/08/2012 09:53

Was the midwife programme on BBC? When we have internet finally (I am getting SO fed up with doing it all on my phone) I might watch it on iPlayer on our TV.

Good luck with the move MissMummy.

I'm stopping work at 35+4 I think, but that's the beginning of the 2wk hols, although I think in my cold-addled and baby-brained state, I filled the form in with the 19/10 as my maternity leave start date. I will have to speak to HR & check whether I did or not, as I want to have my leave & actually be in leave at 38wks. I stopped work at 36+4 last time although that was before the Easter hols, so officially leave started 39+1, DD was born 39+3 (just, 00.42).

I'm hoping this baby will come on the 11th (although not the happiest date) as my birthday is 1st, DH's is 31st, DD is 21st, so with the 11th, we'd have a full set Wink

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/08/2012 10:00

Yeah the midwife programme was in bbc2, I might watch it tonight and let dh have an Xbox eve and sex Grin

FatimaLovesBread · 01/08/2012 10:04

Peaky the voucher came with my welcome pack for the boots parenting club. Quite a few vouchers including the free change bag. It was for 20% off pushchairs and car seats.

GT I'll send you a PM with the code. Hopefully it'll still work. Just noticed the cabriofix has gone back up to £130 on boots.com. I bought it two weeks ago and it was £104.99 so if you're not in any rush the prices change quite often

I'm having a pissed off day with my boss. We were debating about recruitment and he decided to use a personal insult, basically because he was losing the debate. Hormones made me a bit upset, now im just pissed off

capedcrusader25 · 01/08/2012 10:11

detective that song is so sad :( DP just automatically turns the Radio off/over now as soon as the first bit comes on bless him!
Glad you got your winking/sad faces sorted vq - could have made for some interesting posts!
I'm looking forward to finishing early, well I'll be 35 weeks and I'm assuming baby will be late. I want to attempt to do something craft-like for her room when I'm off as I love that kind of stuff but just never have the time. Plus I just remember that when I go back I'll have a half term and a 6 weeks break shortly after (at full pay rather than smp) so lots of time with baby :)

capedcrusader25 · 01/08/2012 10:13

Also I got the Cabriofix car seat and Easyfix base for £140 a couple of months ago from Kiddiecare online...not sure they're still running the offer due to it being a while ago or even if you'd want the Easyfix base too but might be worth looking out for similar stuff x

Morning all, and happy August. November seems so much closer now!

Missed the midwife programme last night so will try to catch up with iPlayer. We couldn't be bothered to cook dinner so went for a carvery, however I'm a veggie so ordered a veggie lasagne. When it came it was frozen in the middle! I didn't make a fuss of it, just asked for another one, which was hotter than the sun when it arrived! We also had dessert, and when the bill came we found the waiter had only charged us for DP's meal, so the whole dinner or 2 mains and 2 desserts came to £5.99! That's a bargain I like!

I've decided to start my mat leave officially on baby's due date of 19th Nov, but will take 4 weeks holiday before that and then tack my final week of holiday onto the end of my mat leave year, so will have 57 weeks off altogether, starting on 22 October. Not long now, eek!

Hope your move is going well missmummy

kissyfur · 01/08/2012 10:21

Good luck with the move missmummy

pass I cried at the small bump song too, he performed it on The Voice and the ending took me by surprise, and I blubbed. Can't listen to it now.

Watched the midwives prog last night too, very emotional. When the forceps baby was born my DP was exclaiming about how massive he was and I said I bet he was smaller than DD! And he was, only slightly, but still! Am a bit worried as 2nd baby's are usually bigger aren't they?!

I have told my work when I want to start mat leave yet, well not officially anyway. Initially I said I hoped to work up to 37 weeks but I think that might have been slightly optimistic

Hope everyone has a good day Smile

Just joined the boots club. Had a look on their website and I still think most things are more expensive, but I guess they do have offers sometimes. I personally don't get the logic of taking the monetary value of the points off the purchase, as you still have to pay X amount for it. I have a grand total of 301 points, and I got the card 6 years ago, and have never redeemed any points. Clearly not their most valued customer. Their baby changing bag is good though. Got one with DD1 and it is only just beginning to show signs of wear. I found a mouldy cake in one of the pockets too, so have chucked it out now.

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 10:52

If anyone has not yet heard ' little bump' do NOT google! It will be a while until I forgive you for that one detective. NOT what we need Angry

ValiumQueen · 01/08/2012 10:53

I am glad it is August as I will be having baby in October, and it sounds so much closer now.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/08/2012 11:31

Hi VQ all well here thanks.

izzy I am planning on leaving on 13 Sept and am due on 7th Sept. this is early but is because I want to leave the company to move to The wilds of Northern Ireland, but unless you work for a full year after the birth of the baby you have to pay back your maternity pay. So I would like to come back as early as poss. I have had a battle with this, particularly leaving the baby in nursery when it is 6 months, but offset it with the fact that when I leave I will have a couple of years off to play mum and setting up my veg patch before I look for work again.

missmummy good luck with the move hope all goes well.

I loved the midwife programme last night as I love a good birth story!

Better get back to work Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 01/08/2012 11:33

I am obviously lying am am really due on 7th NovemberBlush. I would love a Halloween Baby, then it's middle name really could be pumpkin! Perhaps I will push the reflexology in week 38 Grin

horseylady · 01/08/2012 11:39

Vq which nappies did you go for on the lollipop website?

Brockle · 01/08/2012 11:48

I am the same date as you DH tho I too think I am a day or two earlier. I am off from the 19th October four weeks of holiday and my official mat leave starting on my due date. Have two weeks off in August and two flex days to take in September and October so I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I would like DS3 to appear after Twilight but before the 20th. Not sure that will happen. DS1 was five days over and DS2 was on time so we shall see.

Ordered a Miracle bag change bag two weeks ago and its still hasn't turned up. I had to choose a different one as they couldn't get the original one I ordered and now my new slection still isn't here grrr.
