No leakage from my boobs either yet, but I never really leaked a lot when feeding DD. boobs are incredibly sore today tho, sure they've had a growth spurt. Owww

chunky I was the same last time, the first pic of me and DD doesn't look anything like me! Determined to look a bit fresher this time around :)

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 20:30

detective surely you didn't manage to drop sauce on both boobies? Do share Grin

NervousAt20 · 08/08/2012 20:34

horsey we were really amazed by what we could see. She had her hand covering half her face so the lady gave her a bit of a poke and we was rewarded with a frown Grin we were in there about an hour and come away with 8 pics when we were only ment to get 5! Very glad we did it, I love our pics!

NervousAt20 · 08/08/2012 20:35

Oh and they checked her weight and say she weighs about 2 pound 9 and they said that's just over averages Grin think I'm going to lay off the kitkats :)

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 20:45

Sadly, no! Just the sun today :( Sausage casserole managed to stay on its plate!!

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 20:52

Did you have your baps out then?

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 21:46

My mum would say I did! I say no Grin but I was wearing a dress that skimmed the top of my low cut bra.

What can I say? I like to live dangerously ;)

GTbaby · 08/08/2012 21:47

Have a GD test tomorrow. Little worried tbh. I'm rubbish with controlling or sticking to a prescribed diet.
Really hope I dont have GD, although I think the only reason I'm doing the test is having a high BMI code word for being fat . N no other reason ie family history is clear. All baby measurements are within normal range. So hope it's just a waste of time.

Was also thinking about semi perm eye lash extensions. Had them done at wedding. Loved them. Just didn't have time to keep it up. Going To keep eye out for groupon voucher. Nxt Brazilian is booked for end of August. Which fits perfectly with schedule to fit final one in about one/two weeks before due date. Along with full leg wax, although hair growth on my legs has become non existent. Pedicure will be a must! Manicure I do myself. But may treat myself. And will have eyebrows threaded to perfection Grin. Have also thought about what make up I will take to hospital don't tell me I won't care! so that I look fresh n pretty n not plastered on. Blush

Way to much thought into how I will look post birth.

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 21:48

valium I wondered that about yellowwellies and yellowraincoat.

We are team yellow as well chunky - I am glad we decided to stay team yellow (health authority refusing to tell made it easier) but I am getting impatient to start buying clothes. I keep seeing lovely things which I wan to buy but can't!

I have been burning much more easily detective. The 10 minutes sunshine we have had this summer has left me a bit burnt and freckly.

Yours scan sounds amazing nervous. I must confess to being a bit jealous.

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 21:50

I always get the two confused. Well not confused! But have to double check who is posting sometimes lol! (In other threads, not this one obviously!)

Sadly Pass I burn like a chip in oil anyway. I had factor 50 on!!! For goodness sake!

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 21:56

Um, I was going to go for the au natural look!

Maybe I won't now you glamour pusses!

At the least i'll shave my legs if I have time and ability and pits. If I have time, wash hair. And erm, might give a prune of the lady garden, but will just be a trim rather than a shaping!!!

I'm not really the beauty queen type! I wish I was! I had my lashes tinted once, and brows waxed for a holiday. Didn't last long though, and since I could give birth any time over a 5 week period, it all seems a little pointless.

And really, it is only me who would give a rats ass. No one else cares. Trust me.

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 21:57

If I was giving birth where I worked though, I'd of had frickin' lipsuction and a designer vagina long before now though.

Thank frig I'm not and I'm ignoring the fact that one of my old colleagues works on my community area Grin

YellowWellies · 08/08/2012 22:00

I agree VQ and Kissyfur, I hate it when the supernatural threads get hijacked by dull minded sceptics congratulating themselves on making everyone else feel small. I'm a scientist, not religious at all (but its not my business if others are and if it helps them then great for them) but I don't think we can explain everything - our knowledge is constantly expanding. I think anyone who works in science would agree - my current field is climate science and I know there is so much we can't explain. To be honest anyone with their blind faith in science clearly last studied it at GCSE and only goes on threads like that to try to seem clever. A blind faith in science is just as small minded as the blind faith folks used to have in the Church in the middle ages. M'eh... I really do reckon that folks who come onto that type of thread to pooh pooh and feel smug have issues in their lives!

Chunkychicken · 08/08/2012 22:06

I'm starting to feel a bit of a hick because I've never had my nether-regions waxed. I bought one of those Venus bikini trimmed razors to keep things neat & tidy, as I don't think pg is the right time to start sticking my legs up akimbo for a strange woman Wink

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 22:08

Oxbridge eh? I had to smile. I went to Oxford. Brookes that is! I was very impressed by you tonight YW

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 22:09

I will chuck a flannel around and plait my pubes.

YellowWellies · 08/08/2012 22:11

They were clearly just a bunch of mean bitches with issues with their nearest and dearest taking their anger out on strangers. Nowt big or clever about that... am just reminding them now that they have totally misquoted the definition of the term 'theory' as it is used in most scientific disciplines (you were quite right, bollocks does it mean 'fact').

I was Oxford too - just down the hill from you - I was a Hildabeast if that means anything :)

YellowWellies · 08/08/2012 22:13

VQ we share similar maintenance strategies. Jeez life is too short to be spent shearing your nethers to fit some external others definition of attractive. I don't do 'Forth bridge' like chores that require endless, painless, constant repetition... My DH loves me not some barbie doll female idyll

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 22:15

I never met a real life Hildabeast. Stil haven't! Hello virtual Hildabeast. Would grin if I could on this poxy phone!

detective you slapper! Good on ya!

kissyfur · 08/08/2012 22:15

Agree yellow think you hit the nail on the head with your 'raw. nerve.' comment! Made me chuckle Smile

I did used to have my bikini line waxed but I stopped cos I found it a bit too painful, expect its twice as bad when pg? Will definitely try and have a tidy up before the birth tho - if I can see what I'm doing by then that is! Grin

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 22:16

I did once veet the fanjo, and it was a horrific, life changing burning from the inside out experience.

And I felt like a toddler.

Never again! Trim, yes (with blunt scissors and carefully!) and even may treat them to a dab of conditioner once in a blue moon. But that is IT! They do look nice after a little conditioner Grin

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 22:18

In my youth I used to shave my head. I often had fellas say 'wow a girl with pubes longer than the hair on her head' and I would say ' well actually' and smile sweetly. I was young thin and single at the time.

applepieinthesky · 08/08/2012 22:28

Wink valium

I've had my legs waxed before but never my lady bits. Nobody that doesn't need to is getting sight of that.

Baby's kicks are getting stronger by the day. He was kicking my desk at work today and has been wriggling around loads.

TheDetective · 08/08/2012 22:28

So they would never have known your true colours VQ?!

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 22:32

Ha! I have never shaved my fanjo ever. If it ain't broke . . .

I might ensure I have some mascara on as I am rarely seen without it. However, that is it. I admire well-groomed ladies. I admire their dedication. I am too lazy actually wondering whether I brushed my teeth this morning

Oh and that paranormal thread was awful. I am not religious or spiritual in any way but I love a good story. Why is it so hard to accept that people believe things that you don't what kind of ego do you need to have to think that way. Some of those people were behaving like kids I deal with at school - someone falls out of line with a group's accepted code of conduct and suddenly she needs to be made to disappear off the face of the earth. It's not enough just to accept the difference and move on. I have said to girls before "do you want her to disappear? To no longer exist?" and they always look initially defiant then guilty - they know I have hit the nail on the head
