Spooky stories?! Where are these!!

MissMummy1 · 08/08/2012 12:31

Thanks all. Just looked at my finances and there is definitely no way I'll be able to run a car while not working and he can't afford to run both so we're going to need to be sensible. I think swapping both of them for a little eco car will be the way forward. I've had my own car since I was 17 so it will be a culture shock! Then again, when I lived in the city I very very rarely used it. YW that hill is part of my baby weight loss plan!!! Lol!

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 12:31

I couldn't see them either

MissMummy1 · 08/08/2012 12:34

Oh and steer him well away from landrovers YW ! They are bottomless money pits. T had 4 when I met him - 2 defenders, a disco and a rangie. I made him get rid of the rangie and small defender as they were just toys. The disco is the current bone of contention - I think he loves the rusting piece of crap more than me. I can just about cope with the big defender as it's in his workshop as far as I know not costing any money. Then agaib, if Ads fancies a wee project....? Hehehe

YellowWellies · 08/08/2012 12:34

Woo, ladies, excellent call. I love the paranormal threads! thankeeee

YellowWellies · 08/08/2012 12:36

Wooo MissMummy!!!! don't you try to offload said 'project' toward my gullible DH... it's bad enough with the cricket and fly fishing without him covered in oil. Yes I do sound like one of the wives in Last of the Summer Wine :D

kissyfur · 08/08/2012 12:40

Am I being completely daft - where are all the other paranormal threads??!

MissMummy1 · 08/08/2012 12:41

There's a caravan and a few boats too.... Gee I could have some fun accidentally sticking them all on eBay! Luckily other than hoarding expensive boy toys DH is quite well trained. He hates watching sport, actually enjoys cooking I can overlook the mess he makes when doing it and is quite good at fixing things - although it is usually him who's broken them in the first place!

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 12:46

is this it?

kissyfur · 08/08/2012 12:58

Yes that's the one I meant but apparently there are more?

Can you tell I'm bored at work? Wink

FatimaLovesBread · 08/08/2012 13:04

Just trying to catch up

Brockle Have you told your midwife about the slapped cheek? I think it can be a concern around pregnant women. Obviously you can't avoid your DS but I think they can monitor you or something

Chunkychicken · 08/08/2012 13:04

I know this is daft and has been done before but when should I worry about/monitor baby's movements? I'm particularly noticing it today after yesterday's anxieties and baby has decided to throw me off again!!! Must be a girl to be so contrary Grin I thought I had noticed a pattern - active morning, quiet afternoon, active evening and very active at bed time, nothing (much) in the night. Today - the occassional fidget this morning, now going mental after I'd begun to worry (so have had an ice cold diet coke...) At 25wks they can still 'hide' right?!!

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 13:06

More today?

I read one a couple of weeks ago that ran to about 30 pages. Days it went on for. They also linked to another thread where a 'straw man' was mentioned.

I am sunning myself outside so hopefully I can maintain common sense!

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 13:07

chunky my movements changed a lot between about 22 weeks and 25. They were less noticeable and more internal. It's only in the last two weeks that I have stomach-wobbling kicks again

horseylady · 08/08/2012 13:11

I think I'm about to see me 4/4 lol!!! Why name one? Why not just say 'a team' will look after you. I dont care so long as I am looked after.

Baby is in move. Bloody hurts and I can't lie down in waiting room!!

Chunkychicken · 08/08/2012 13:19

Thanks pass. I guess, as long as I'm feeling something, its ok. I don't think they have a routine yet anyway, but I just need to start counting kicks I suppose, until I can recognise the routine such as it is, if that makes sense!!! I didn't seem to realise how important it was with my DD, I guess because I hadn't read all the sad stories on MN!! I expect lots of mums are a little bit paranoid/extra concerned after Gary Barlow's sad news.

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 13:42

For sure chunky. As I read the story my bump was wibbling about - never been sohappy to have a wobbly tunmy

kissyfur · 08/08/2012 13:48

Agree chunky and pass - I was quite upset by the story all day yesterday then had a panic whilst watching that midwives prog last night that I hadn't felt baby move for a while (he or she is usually very active in the evenings) anyway after about half an hour of panicking there were lots of strong movements again, never felt so relieved! Wondering if I should make notes on this baby's 'movement routine' as I find it hard to remember how much they have moved during the day sometimes, especially if I've been busy with DD or other things

Passmethecrisps · 08/08/2012 14:04

Pregnancy really is just one worry after another. You cros your fingers and obsessive knicker check until 12 weeks. Then you worry abou abnormalities at 20 weeks then you have a wee cheer as reaching 24 weeks but panic about early labour. It never ends.

horseylady · 08/08/2012 14:08

Poor student mw missed my vein!! Bless her. Anyway mw 4/4 took it. Measured heart beat, measured bump, spoke about bf was there an hour!! Most of that was mw was looking for paperwork etc as she (again!!) wasn't expecting to cover that clinic!! Maybe my assigned mw is leaving?! Who knows!! Watching mw programme now!!

Brockle · 08/08/2012 15:13

They are sending my blood off for testing fatima to see if I am imune and if not then they have to monitor babies growth I think. Won't get the results for two weeks though so the only thing I can do is take my pregnancy vitamins every day that have iron in as it can cause severe anaemia in baby. I am sure I will be immune as most people are but I can't help worrying Sad Had a cold the last few days too so am obsessing a bit.

kissyfur I am exactly the same. I have found that drinking a large glass of cold water usually sets him off again. Going to look up the count the kicks campaign! On a nice note my new feeding pillow cover came today as did my changing bag (black and white polka dots - so cute) and my cow and gate club toy cow - super cute!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/08/2012 15:19

Grr little rant!

Driving home and waiting in queue of traffice but I left a gap for the left hand turn in case any car wanted to turn in/ out that road.

Some pleb in a convertible overtakes me while I'm sitting in traffic just as I'm about to pull off then his mrs sitting in the back starts shaking her head at me!

Farking nobs.

NervousAt20 · 08/08/2012 15:46

izzy hope the acupuncture helps your SPD improve!

missmummy if one car sits on the drive not working and just costing money then your right for wanting to get rid and save the money!

valium hope you get your maternity and sick leave sorted soon and good luck for tomorrow with your leg appointment! Shock valium get sprayed with milk? I thought there would be the odd time it would leak and stuff in an intimate moment but spray? Really?

Glad all the pains have stopped for you chunky - im 27weeks and my movements have been alot less over this last week, I still feel her daily but not no where near as much as I use too and I was told could be positioning but should start noticing a pattern

Had my bloods taken today and it was so damn painful but I didn't cry Grin very proud of myself normally I'm a complete mess! Also had a 3D/4D scan and it was amazing!! I couldn't believe what you could see, we was watching her suck her hands, placenta and feet, she always had something in her hands or near her mouth so was abit difficult to get a face shop and everytime the women poked her to move she would frown lol Grin it was completely amazing, you could see her smile and tongue come out it was just great. She has my nose, anyone wondering if you have one or not I would definatly recommend

Hope your all enjoying the sun shine

horseylady · 08/08/2012 15:50

Oh nervous I'd just about persuaded myself not to have one lol but if you see lots maybe it is worth it?!

The student hurt me but she couldn't get blood out (unheard of I have amazing viens!!)

ValiumQueen · 08/08/2012 15:54

nervous thank you, and YES mine did! And that was without them actually being touched! I was mortified, DH amused, and Blush I think I will just leave it at that Grin
