Scan sounds like it went well little I've got another one in 2 weeks. It won't be 4d though but can't wait to see what she looks like then.

Had a nice day having a BBQ at my mums, ds stripped off and played in the paddling pool.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 05/08/2012 19:06

I have the worst SPD set in today, really feels like I've been kicked in the crotch over and over by a whole football team. Sad
I have an urgent physio referral at my disposal so I'll be calling them tomorrow.

I went to Bluewater shopping centre today and we went in the Disney shop, little squidge is now the owner of an Animal and Kermit baby grow. Grin
I brought a bump support belt from mother care, I'm hoping it might offer some support for the bump.

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 19:13

Oh dear tits sorry to hear that. Have you been overdoing things?

Passmethecrisps · 05/08/2012 19:13

Scan sounds fab little

Rural life is certainly interesting. I grew up on a farm and went to small schools. It wasn't the carefree idyll many expect. It was a relatively large scale farm which was dangerous. My dad worked on it rather than own it which I think makes a difference as well. I enjoyed secondary school because it was bigger but primary school was a dreadful experience. Classes of 10 people mean that if there is a fall out you are well and truly on your own. I do sometimes miss country living but DH and I are just not organised enough.

We had a lovely day at the safari park today - shame about the weather.

Passmethecrisps · 05/08/2012 19:14

Poor you tits. Sounds awful.

horseylady · 05/08/2012 19:26

Feeling less huge today. Think spending 12 hours Friday and 15 Saturday on my feet didn't help!!

Managed to fit in a pair of jodhpurs!!! And managed to compete although first class I did think I might actually die when the horse was an absolute donkey and would not move!!! Redeemed herself as the day went on. In a fashion!! There's no middle ground with her she's either so sensitive or dead!! Chest very tight and very full of gunk :( but hopefully a day out doing stuff will shift it!!

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 19:32

horsey still not grasping the concept of REST then Grin

GTbaby · 05/08/2012 20:12

Deff getting to the 'can't walk' stage. Oh dear. Walk from Stratford station to basket ball court has taken it out of me Blush

Also did my shoulder in at swimming yesterday. Although it didn't start to hurt till I was in shower. Bought some of those heat packs. Not much use Sad.

Rant alert. On walking to chemist a stupid posh 4x4 driver splashed me. N the splash went all the way to my knickers! Lucky I was just walking to chemist n back otherwise I'd be soaked all day. Was so annoyed. Not helping with my crap mood this weekend Grin.

ValiumQueen · 05/08/2012 20:16

Feeling a bit better about my frailties. Thank you for sharing. (especially as I am old enough to be your babies' grandmother!)

horseylady · 05/08/2012 20:20

Well it was fairly restful?! I enjoyed myself so I figure it's as good as resting!!

daisychain76 · 05/08/2012 20:26

Feeling excited now cos just put in an order at Boots to take advantage of their 3 for 2 on baby stuff, got a bouncy chair that vibrates (20% off), baby bath, top and tail bowl, changing mats for up and down stairs, bath thermometer and a rattle to give as a Christmas present for baby (realised DCs will expect Santa to visit the baby too!). I love knowing you're going to get an interesting parcel through the post.

Only just recovering from going to the quarter finals Olympic football at Old Trafford yesterday - involving train and metrolink and a stop in central Manchester for some shopping and lunch.

Hope everyone has a good week this week and not too many aches and pains Smile

horseylady · 05/08/2012 20:41

Vallium trust me it's much less than I usually do!! I am taking it easy and where as I'd normally care about such a poor performance I did the best I could physically do. Plus tonight I'd have got in and taken the dogs out for two or three hours but no, quick dog walk, dinner then sat on sofa watching Olympics and eating caramel shortbreads which were supposed to be work whoops!! Oh and I've made a gooseberry crumble from the bush in the garden :)

Passmethecrisps · 05/08/2012 20:52

Yum! I love gooseberries! Are they red ones or green ones? Deeeeeelishas

Brockle · 05/08/2012 20:54

Really feel for you tits it is truly horrible. Mine is mostly at the back and its bloody painful. The physio I saw suggested either a hot water bottle or an ice pack and a gym ball is good for the evening. See the physio asap and TAKE IT EASY.

I am taking a lift from the first floor at work to save myself from the stairs and I actually had someone tutting on friday night. I was livid! They better watch out tomorrow. I am making that lift stop on the first floor at 5pm tomorrow and they can tut all they like!

rowingdowntheriver · 05/08/2012 20:57

I'm back from the weightlifting at the excel centre. It was fab! Saw a few world records being beaten and everyone was really supporting the competitors so the atmosphere was just fantastic.

valium, i'm really shocked to hear that people would start smoking to keep a babies weight down. That is awful.

I was surprised my DS was so big as I'm not that big myself but my husband is 6'3 so maybe that is why? Or maybe it was because I had at least one piece of carrot cake every day that I was pregnant?! Oh well - wonder how big this one will be?

horseylady · 05/08/2012 20:58

Green ones, also got wild strawberries and redcurrents. Eating it tomorrow do I'll let you know!!

rowingdowntheriver · 05/08/2012 21:00

I've got some gooseberries going mouldy in my fridge. Had meant to make gooseberry fool but am too lazy

horseylady · 05/08/2012 21:04

Rowing we picked and cooked tonight! Last year we lost them all as we were too late but this year ok!!

rowingdowntheriver · 05/08/2012 21:08

You may have inspired me to do something with them this evening. After watching the 400m!

Passmethecrisps · 05/08/2012 21:11

rowing just stuff them in your gob! We have blackcurrants, redcurrants and red gooseberries at our allotment. We have blueberries at the house. I love wild strawberries - nothing like them. Tiny wee fruity tastiness.

I decided I would eat as many different fruits as possible during pregnancy. We had papaya yesterday. Had it before but this tasted of fish. Odd.

I love fruit so no great hardship for me

mrswee · 05/08/2012 21:21

finally caught up, that took ages.

I am very excited, a good friend announced she is 7 weeks with her second, though might be 9 weeks... she already has a small bump! her DS is 7 months older than my DD. She saved my life when I had DD, dragged me out of the house and spent lost of time with me on mat leave. So we will be doing the same again this time and hopefully I can return the favour.
She even drove us home from hospital with DD as we didnt have a car then, she'd packed a bag with lots of newborn essentails and some sweetheart stout and gave us a lasagne that was still warm out of the oven!
I knew she was trying so am really excited it's happened!

I have SPD kicking in.. boo.. for some reason I thought I was getting away with it. It started so early last time so hopefully I will be able to walk for longer this pregnancy. I basically couldn't walk a few meters without having to stop by about 7 months before. I'm worried it will prevent me using a sling.. i couldnt with DD it seemed to bring the pain back.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 05/08/2012 21:43

Sorry to see there are a few more sod sufferers :-(

I am actually dreading work tomorrow as I'm in so much pain tonight and there is no way I can use my crutches in work. Starting to think I may be being very stupid even attempting to go in!

rowingdowntheriver · 05/08/2012 21:45

Ha! passme, I had not even thought of that! Have just eaten takeaway curry so will have the gooseberries as dessert to balance out the unhealthiest.

Looking forward to the 100m. Wonder how Bolt is going to do? This could be an amazing race.

horseylady · 05/08/2012 21:49

Izzy sounds like you might be daft going in. Can you drive? Can you stop in an emergency? If not, please don't drive and seriously consider going in!

I can't imagine what it must be like? My chest infection gets me down but I'm mobile!! I really hope you're all ok.

Yes watching Olympics, not as exciting as last night!
