blondie I have that quite often - baby will have a day of being manic, whirling around and kicking the whole time, followed by a day or two where I just feel the odd tap - pretty sure it's because she has moved into a different position and is kicking the placenta instead.
I saw the MW yesterday for my 28 week appt, and all seems well - measuring bang on for dates, baby kicked the doppler a few times, then deigned to stay in one place for a couple of seconds so we could hear her heartbeat :o BP is perfect, and MW said I need to rest more, but otherwise nothing to worry about.
DS spent the appointment doing the wall of death round the MW's office, so I was going 'why am I having another one?!' as he galloped round the place cackling madly. He was being very cute in the waiting room though, laughing and chuckling at another wee boy's toy, and he set the whole room off with his giggles. And last night - he SLEPT! 7-6.30!
DH and I were checking on him by about 5.30am because we were worried something had happened during the night :o And this morning he was a delight, just giggling at everything, singing to himself, ate all his breakfast, skipped into nursery - like a different child. I wish he would sleep more often, it clearly suits him!
TDW I have read so many different pg guides, and most seem to think the 3rd trimester starts at 27, 28 or 29 weeks - hence my confusion! whatever, I am only 12 weeks from D Day now, and 14 weeks from baby DEFINITELY being here, eek! scary biscuits!
we're looking for a bed for DS at the moment, as baby will need the cot-bed later in the year. anyone got any recommendations? we are thinking a low cabin bed (so not one that requires a ladder), and then getting the same kind for baby when she's old enough to need one - they will be sharing a room for the forseeable future! we have decorated the room yellow so far - debating some sort of wall stickers, but will probably keep it just yellow for now, and see.
regarding the birth plan - I used one from my NCT teacher as a guide for it, and she was very keen on reminding OHs to take pictures! luckily DH didn't actually need reminding when DS finally emerged - although we had a hilarious moment in my 2nd day of labout when we went 'do the batteries in the camera work?' and DH took some pictures of me IN LABOUR to test it. The batteries were nearly dead, so he went off to get some more, but looking back at the photos - I looked ROUGH. he is not getting pics of me in labour this time round :o
