Thanks Moosey for the title :)

I thought I'd go for it as there are only 4 or 5 posts left to go on the old thread.

Two other threads to be aware of:

Stats - you can update announcements here
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1157973-Nov11-Stats-only

Post Natal - for those of you already cuddling :)
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1326836-November-2011-early-birds-just-in-time-and-late-to-the-party-all-welcome

Hope this thread sees all our nests full.

Mrs A Have my fingers crossed that sweep today will do the trick.
Welcome baby Franklin

Truffkin · 02/12/2011 10:30

Keeping my fingers crossed for you MrsA hope your sweep today does the trick.

Congrats on more new babies. Love the name Franklin.

Lucas is a week old today and has already gained 2 ounces! He's a proper guzzler Grin

Good luck mrsa. I ended up with a sweep after ending up at hospital and just 1cm. After having contractions for nearly 9 hours by then I would have thought it would've been more. The sweep was bloody effective though. 4 hours later I was 4cm. Get in!

Erin is doing well, milk has now come in so look like katie price, well ok not quite :)

Katiebeau · 02/12/2011 13:43

Good luck MrsArch. You never know re silent dilation. No one was more shocked than me!! I hope baby comes very soon and you get your home-birth x.

So, had quite a good day. Had lots of quite painful BHs all morning up to the point where I said to dp that I'm not in labour but...

IM arrived a did a VE. She couldn't do a sweep as my cervix is closed at the very top by the membranes but it is open in a v shape at the bottom and she thinks the BHs are all signs of it opening. So good stuff tho I'm not there yet. She's fab - she lives almost 2 hrs away so has taken a hotel room nearby now and will stay till baby arrives. I have another sweep arranged for sunday unless I set off before but its looking positive that I will go into labour before wed (42 wks). Interestingly my mum went 10 days over with my sister and then was induced, so IM thinks we might be 10 month mamas! I'll let u know if anything kicks off as BHs coming quite painful now - still not contractions but hoping things hot up.

juststarting · 02/12/2011 19:15

Keep going mrsa, all sounds like steps in the right direction! I'm in the bath. With my deflated but still bulging tummy so obviously infront of me, I feel kind of lonely!

neverinamillionyears · 02/12/2011 19:43

Mrsa, all the best!! Lovely IM.

Just - I don't miss being pregnant as I was so uncomfortable in the end but it does feel odd. If my tummy rumbles then I think its baby, then I remember its not.
I know that that you are all with me knowing what I mean when I say I'm just in awe of her, I can't get enough of her. I'm in bed supposedly catching up on some sleep but I miss her even though she is just downstairs. Ahem, anyway I'm crapping on over mrsa's personal thread now so will shut my cake hole. Hope all have had a lovely day of baby cuddles. X

hadak · 02/12/2011 20:33

Good luck Mrs A. Hope this is the weekend to meet your little one.

PamSco · 02/12/2011 21:11

MrsA you go girl! Sending the vibes to you.

My belly is back to what it was - a big flabby bulge, but it is SOOOOOO itchy! I'm tearing it to shreds.

Good luck mrsA!! Come on baby we are all so looking forward to hearing about you!

My milk came in today. All I can say is ooooouuuuucccchhhh. Boobs so heavy my chest and back hurt and they are as hard as rocks. Being a first timer this is the weirdest feeling.

DH away tonight so this is my first night looking after her alone. My mum is staying though in case I really can't cope.

Now must make way along to postnatal thread.

MRsA thinking of you.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 03/12/2011 05:47

At last! Been up and down all night with pain and on the loo. Just had bloody show and called the midwife. It may be a while yet as things are not hotting up too much but it's progress!

neverinamillionyears · 03/12/2011 06:17

Whoop whoop!

neverinamillionyears · 03/12/2011 06:19

Terrible isn't it when we whoop with joy that someone is in pain Grin

alicat10 · 03/12/2011 06:48

Any news?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 04/12/2011 05:00

Frustratingly no news! Had a good morning of contractions and we were all ready for them to ramp up. Then, I managed to get a little rest around 1pm and they then slowed to one every 15mins and then nothing since about 8pm. Midwife checked into hotel and I've managed to get a sleep and now just waiting for things to kick off again. Waters not broken so hoping they will. Just feel very bored and it feels like I'm back to square one. I know I'm not, I'm still at least 3cm, but ffs - come on baby!

pandia · 04/12/2011 05:18

Poor you, hang in there mrsA. Frustrating but it WILL happen.

I've been awake for about 3 hours. SO frustrating as babe is sleeping soundly and I should really be catching up. Bloody insomnia and can't even take my normal sleeping pills as bfing. Don't know what to do, feel will expire from lack of sleep and not even because of restless baby Sad

mashpot · 04/12/2011 05:33

Oh mrs sorry baby is still keeping you waiting! I got stuck at 3cm for hours although contractions didn't slow but things ramped up after having my waters broken. Hopefully you can get a good rest ready to push this baby out today.

pandia I hope you get some sleep. I suffered without being able to sleep
For 5 days or after the birth but not having that problem any more!
