Thanks Moosey for the title :)

I thought I'd go for it as there are only 4 or 5 posts left to go on the old thread.

Two other threads to be aware of:

Stats - you can update announcements here
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1157973-Nov11-Stats-only

Post Natal - for those of you already cuddling :)
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1326836-November-2011-early-birds-just-in-time-and-late-to-the-party-all-welcome

Hope this thread sees all our nests full.

Morning mrsa. My waters didn't break until just before I gave birth, so it may not be those you are waiting for. I cam imagine it must be frustrating but at least you can have a sleep to rest up. I didn't get any.sleep due to the pain and I was only 1cm. Bah.

Keep strong mrsa, it'll be soon so very soon. It can't go back now! X

Sorry for typos etc I'm feeding.

voodoomunkee · 04/12/2011 06:56

Oooooh MrsA! Brill! Best of luck and come on baby!! Hope you are holding that baby soon :)

cookie9 · 04/12/2011 07:31

Good luck mrs a. For what it's worth my labour slowed when I hit 3 cm but was fast once my waters broke. Hope to see you on the post natal thread very soon.

bumpandisaacsmum · 04/12/2011 08:39

Good luck MrsA, hope you are back to having regular, not too painful but effective contractions & holding your bundle of joy soon. Cheering you on here and keeping an eye out for baby news xx

Katiebeau · 04/12/2011 09:45

Good luck MrsA! I hope things have started again. X

neverinamillionyears · 04/12/2011 15:16

There must be a baby by now!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 04/12/2011 15:39

Nothing still. Waters intact so may be a case that I grow babies longer and so have just had a show to be followed by labour in the next few days. Am incredibly frustrated and have agreed to some monitoring tomorrow at hospital. No signs anything wrong (hb fine etc) but IM just wants to be sure all is still ok. We will return home if/when it is. Just bored and missing DD!

hadak · 04/12/2011 15:52

Good luck Mrs A. Hope things start again for you soon.

juststarting · 04/12/2011 20:53

ah, fraustrating. still, just days at most now, possibly hours.

Truffkin · 04/12/2011 22:08

Joining in the cheerleading for you MrsA and hoping your baby joins you soon. Sounds like you are doing amazingly well though, am suitably impressed.

voodoomunkee · 05/12/2011 09:31

How are you doing mrsA? My labour stopped at 6cm for hours. So frustrating. Your doing great though, hope there is a baby soon!!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 05/12/2011 09:37

Nothing more happening overnight. Have some pain but not full blown contraxs. Doing a bit of research I think I've had pre labour rather than a stalled labour. Reluctantly going to hospital later for a placenta function scan and all being well I'll head back home to wait it out! I'm ok - trying to stay positive.

hadak · 05/12/2011 14:30

Just checking in to see how it's going Mrs A and join in with "cheering you on"

juststarting · 05/12/2011 21:08

How was the scan? Anything more happening?
Fear I may be on the cusp of mastitis here.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 05/12/2011 21:37

Long story but I'm back at home and contractions are coming 3-5mins but only lasting 30s or so, not sure what to do.

IM has decided she cannot care for me anymore. I/we are devastated so am having to rely on NHS midwives who are not as supportive. Nightmare and I'm not sure what to do or when to call midwives.

hadak · 05/12/2011 21:59

Oh Mrs A what a difficult time for you.... I don't know what to say. Please call the midwives now if you need to at least they will be able to give you further advise/ support.
Thinking of you...............x

pandia · 05/12/2011 22:41

Poor mrsA. Thinking of you. How frustrating and do very difficult for you. So dragged out. You have my heartfelt sympathy. But stay strong and stay positive. One way or another this baby is coming and it won't be long.

I know exactly what you mean about the Nhs but last week I really found that when things got difficult they were amazing and pulled out all the stops to do what was necessary. Remember you can always ask for another midwife if you're not feeling the rapport.

Good luck x

Truffkin · 05/12/2011 22:48

Thinking of you here too MrsA and sending positive vibes. So sorry to hear your IM has made that decision, but I'll also chip in with a pro-NHS story. Even with not getting anything like the labour and delivery I had planned, the MWs were brilliant and really helped me through it.

alicat10 · 06/12/2011 01:26

MrsA sounds like you're having a terrible time - hang in there, you're almost there - hopefully NHS will surprise you

neverinamillionyears · 06/12/2011 05:06

mrsa sorry to hear about the change in your plans. I have nothing to compare my experience with as she is my first but I did find the nhs midwives extremely supportive. At one point I had 3 midwives and a lovely medical student in the room. I didn't mind that many people it just gave me an .incentive! I had great support as I.had no idea what to do.
I hope it works out for you. X

mashpot · 06/12/2011 05:06

Mrsa so sorry things are not going as planned but I can only echo that my own experience of ending up in hospital after planning a homebirth was so positive I don't regret it at all.

Thinking of you with fingers mentally crossed.

hadak · 06/12/2011 14:51

Hi Just checking in to let you know still thinking of you Mrs A and also to echo what Mash said. I too really wanted a homebirth and was dreading going into hospital however it was brilliant and I was home within a few hours. Good luck. Not long now...

voodoomunkee · 06/12/2011 15:09

MrsA please try and keep positive. Hope you are doing ok. Sorry to hear about the IM. Hopefully the NHS does surprise you. You deserve a baby that 'pops' out!

TwoJackRussellsandababy · 06/12/2011 16:28

Mrs A,

Still lurking to see how you are getting on, also sorry to hear about your IM, I'd be fuming, but the midwife's who looked after me were great, so am sure the NHS will do you proud :)

PamSco · 06/12/2011 17:56

MrsA still here for you as well. Best of luck and so sorry to hear your IM has bailled.
