Thanks Moosey for the title :)

I thought I'd go for it as there are only 4 or 5 posts left to go on the old thread.

Two other threads to be aware of:

Stats - you can update announcements here
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1157973-Nov11-Stats-only

Post Natal - for those of you already cuddling :)
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/1326836-November-2011-early-birds-just-in-time-and-late-to-the-party-all-welcome

Hope this thread sees all our nests full.

Happy birthday Pam. You've caught me up! Grin

neverinamillionyears · 24/11/2011 20:01

Happy birthday Pam!

Twiddling thumbs, bored bored bored. Had a nap earlier which means it won't be a great nights sleep.

Are there any horsey people left on here?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 25/11/2011 07:43

Congrats to all the new arrivals. Sorry, can't get too excited. Feel like I'll be pg forever. No signs of labour here except the usual night wakings, can't sleep, nose is blocked, can't be arsed to do anything. Totally peed off.

neverinamillionyears · 25/11/2011 08:01

I hear ya MrsA!

Just felt really sick before giving birth, can we treat that as yet another sign for you or are you just getting fed up with all the signs?

I can't lie in bed anymore as my hips hurts from lying on my side. Have been having niggles down in my noony/fanjo/foofi/moneybox whatever you call it but no actual signs of labour yet. Another work colleague had her first baby a couple of days ago, she wasn't due till 1st Dec, waaaahhhhhh!!!

So I'm up early again, bored already. Can't even be bothered with online shopping for presents. Are vouchers really that bad as presents? Sad

neverinamillionyears · 25/11/2011 08:06

Above meant to read that Just felt sick. Not me....

hadak · 25/11/2011 09:08

Hi ladies. Just checking in to cheer you all on and sending labour vibes via the power of wireless technology.
Never and Mrs A I am really sorry you are feeling so bad. Fingers crossed it won't be too long
Hope you all have a restful day or even better a day filled with non painful contractions and you get to meet you new babies very soon.

pandia · 25/11/2011 09:54

Never and MrsA I am totally with you. SO bored and sick of being pregnant. 40+8 today. Had final sweep yesterday which hasn't done anything. Well, have some mild period pain, but certainly doesn't feel imminent.

MW said that my previous 2 sweeps which were done by a Return to Practice MW (basically someone being supervised) were perhaps not done as effectively as they should have been....grrrrrr....makes me feel cross - maybe I should have insisted that my midwife did them.

Induction booked for 7.30am on Monday Sad. Of course at that point there's still the option to request monitoring for a few days, but the hospital is about a 40 minute drive, and I'm so sick of the whole thing I'm not sure I'll fancy dragging it out as would have to be seen every day. Hey ho, maybe things will get going in the next 3 days.

Thing I find hard is that I just didn't expect to be overdue and I feel Envy of those who weren't!! Pathetically keep thinking why oh why me!!!

Ladies maybe today is the day for all of us!!!

PS Haven't seen truffkin .....since her show, has she given birth? Also H007 and Mash - what news?

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 25/11/2011 10:28

I've just had a wonderful post on DD's antenatal thread (from 2008 - we all still keep it going even though our DCs are 3) to try to cheer me up.
As a bit of background, MIL is going on holiday on Monday for a week and she was going to have DD, plus DD is waking regularly with nightmares. I refer to DD as C on the thread.

Thought I'd copy it here as it has helped me this morning:

"Be calm MrsA, be calm. You cannot control everything, so don't waste time, energy and emotions trying to. What will be, will be. All will be fine.

When you have some time alone, lay on your bed, close your eyes and connect and talk with your baby. Tell the baby how excited you are to meet it and you are ready for its arrival. Visualise going into labour, the labour itself, the birth and finally holding and meeting your baby for the first time

Have faith in you, your baby, and your body's ability to birth your baby.

Nap in the day if you need to, get dp to see C in the night, and you can't do anything about your PIL going on holiday, so, meh. M was present for I's birth and it worked out fine.

Or, if in doubt,i find chocolate is the answer to most things grin"

Hope it helps you guys too.

Truffkin · 25/11/2011 13:36

I am delighted to be announcing the arrival of our baby boy at this morning! Woke with contractions at 4am, into hospital at 0630 and he arrived at 0907. No time for any drugs, just used my TENs throughout and pushed through the pain! Will do a proper birth story soon but we're here until at least Sunday as there was no time to get IV anti-bs in through me, so he has to have them directly. Sad for Mommy & Daddy but he's been a star, fed once and slept since!

Hope everyone else is this side soon!

Bluetinkerbell · 25/11/2011 13:40

congrats Truffkin enjoy!
H007 just announced on FB wWink but I'll leave the honours to her! Grin

H007 · 25/11/2011 13:41

Would like to announce the birth of the beautiful and chubby Miss Darcey Mabel Olive-Jean D born this morning at 7.26am after a C-Sec following a long labour where dilation stopped due to the size of her head. Full
Birth story to follow

neverinamillionyears · 25/11/2011 15:17

How lovely! New babies. Well done to truffkin and h007 we need this news to help see us through and I'm not even due till tomorrow.

Ho hum, watching the matrix until I feel too tired to keep my eyes open.

Is it just mrsa pandia and me left?

voodoomunkee · 25/11/2011 15:30

Congrats Truff and H007! Well done ladies and babies! Look forward to hearing more.
Pam sorry missed wishing you happy birthday, happy birthday!!!
Ladies still waiting please don't give up hope!! The babies will come and maybe by the end if the weekend all will be here!
Have active weekends if possible and think good thoughts. x

PamSco · 25/11/2011 15:32

Wowzers 2 for the price of one. Congratulations Truff and H007 and welcome our morning bundles. Fantastic.

pandia · 25/11/2011 16:32

Ah congrats H007 and Truffkin - lovely news - we need encouragement and good news on here! H007 sounds like it was a bit of a marathon time for you. Look forward to hearing more from you both, perhaps on the postnatal thread if I ever make it there!!

Think left its me, MrsA, Never and perhaps Merlionness although haven't heard anything from her for a while. Mashpot must have had her baby by now?

Had another reflexology session this afternoon - last before they induce me on Monday. Once again she was really hopeful and said - if you go to bed for a couple of hours now I think you'll wake up with early labour signs. So I did....now up again.....and of course not a single little sign. Sigh.

hadak · 25/11/2011 17:56

Wow 2 new babies. Well done and big congrats to H007 and Truffkin
Pandia hope the reflexology works its magic before Monday.
Fingers crossed for other ladies left.

TerrysNo2 · 25/11/2011 20:51

Congrats H007 and truffkin - fab baby news Grin

mashpot where are you?? I hope you are too busy cuddling Smile

MrsA don't despair, it will come out soon. How far over are you now?

neverinamillionyears · 25/11/2011 21:02

Mmmm I think part of my plug is coming away. TMI - its only cloudy and stringy. Could still be days away but hopefully its a possible start. Haven't told dp, he can't wait for it all to start I'd rather give him some more substantial news.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 25/11/2011 21:23

Hope it starts for you never (envy!)

I am either 41+2 or 40+2 Luckily, the nhs think I'm 40+2 and my IM is happy to use these dates and won't look at anything major till I'm 42+1 by the nhs. I have heard vbac labours can start a little later and I'm trying not to stress. I did sweet fa today and nana had DD but she has come home with the runs and an upset tummy, joy! That's really going to help start labour.

Does give us an excuse to slob out tomorrow though and watch dvds.

My left foot is quite swollen and itchy but everything else is fine.

Sigh

neverinamillionyears · 25/11/2011 21:53

So a sick dd and a club foot, how nice for you mrsa! Just what you need.

Ended up spending £60 at chiropractor today after she loaded me up with fish oil capsules that are so large I don't know whether to swallow them or insert them. Also on the list was Arnica tablets and cream all in preparation.
I was too tired and upset after a break down.in the bath today to say no to purchases when I couldn't bend enough to reach the shower gel. Pathetic huh.

In not holding out much hope that plug is much of a sign, I keep looking now though....

Oh house party across the road. Banging music and screaming like they are on a roller coaster. Bloody hell, when did I get so old! It is a rare thing for a party round here so I don't mind at all.

alicat10 · 26/11/2011 10:23

Huge congrats Truffkin & H007 GrinGrin

pandia · 26/11/2011 13:34

Well I think it's started... Have had the show and have quite bad period pain but no contractions I don't think. Fingers crossed will progress.

How are you doing mrsA and never?

neverinamillionyears · 26/11/2011 14:09

Still here, got cupcakes in the oven now. Still trying to fool baby that I'm too busy to go into labour.

Good luck pandia, fingers crossed for you x. having slight aches downstairs myself. We shall see.

PamSco · 26/11/2011 14:23

Oooh pandia, best of luck them surges kick in.
