I've just had a wonderful post on DD's antenatal thread (from 2008 - we all still keep it going even though our DCs are 3) to try to cheer me up.
As a bit of background, MIL is going on holiday on Monday for a week and she was going to have DD, plus DD is waking regularly with nightmares. I refer to DD as C on the thread.
Thought I'd copy it here as it has helped me this morning:
"Be calm MrsA, be calm. You cannot control everything, so don't waste time, energy and emotions trying to. What will be, will be. All will be fine.
When you have some time alone, lay on your bed, close your eyes and connect and talk with your baby. Tell the baby how excited you are to meet it and you are ready for its arrival. Visualise going into labour, the labour itself, the birth and finally holding and meeting your baby for the first time
Have faith in you, your baby, and your body's ability to birth your baby.
Nap in the day if you need to, get dp to see C in the night, and you can't do anything about your PIL going on holiday, so, meh. M was present for I's birth and it worked out fine.
Or, if in doubt,i find chocolate is the answer to most things grin"
Hope it helps you guys too.
