Cheer up Biscuits IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY! Happy birthday, are you doing anything nice to celebrate?

Will also be lurking for scan news.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 09:38

Thanks Scarlet Smile

We went out for dinner yesterday with both sets of parents so that was nice. Then today DH is at work and ds at nursery so I'm doing the bare minimum of jobs and then having a bit of a day to myself I think.

And looking at my lovely birthday presents - I am a very lucky girl Smile.

I have just found that I've been so tired all the time the last few days. I guess it's pregnancy related but my energy that seemed to arrive with the second trimester seems to have deserted me again!

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 07/11/2011 09:48

Happy Birthday Biscuits, your meal sounds lovely :)

I am feeling moody today also, really stressful, life atm. Just waiting for my break, and luck to change! Hopefully, my baby being a boy, like I wanted will have sparked the change! But still Angry

jazzy283 · 07/11/2011 11:04

arrrrrr ladies thank you woke up feeling great today all cramps gone for today just keep getting a few little twinges now and again im about 5/6 weeks have my drs appointment on thursday but feel much more relaxed after all your reassurances :) guessing im still gonna hit a frenzy at every cramp lol lol but know its normal is all good :) :) ooooo good luck for all the scan ladies i cant wait to get to that stage yay

jazzy283 · 07/11/2011 11:05

oppppps biscuits HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYY :) Thanks

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 11:11

Thank you ladies - just settling down with a cup of tea and some chocolate digestives and the ironing to catch up on Downton Abbey.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 11:14

And very glad your cramps have eased off a bit Jazzy. It's true that early pregnancy is identical to the imminent arrival of AF - which is a rubbish rubbish feature of nature! I mean, really!

Even now I get weird cramps and aches and DH will say 'ooh, is that OK?' and I just have to say 'I have no idea'.

Am so looking forward to (hopefully) seeing everything at our 20 week scan on Friday. Could do with another reassurance burst that everything is ok.....

musicalmrs · 07/11/2011 11:35

Hi all!

Biscuits, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sorry you had such a tiring weekend - hope today picks up for you.

Scan went brilliantly! Baby (still just the one, so definitely a singleton for me!) measured a couple of days ahead, so I'm now on 13w+1. It was happily dancing about, opening and closing its mouth and sucking its thumb. Nuchal translucency measurement was 1mm, which I think is good? Obviously awaiting blood test results though.. next scan booked for early Jan, with a consultants appointment early Dec.

Hope the other two scans go equally wonderfully!

Jazzy, glad the cramps have eased a bit. I'm still getting them - but I was told by the gynae when I went to A&E that unless I'm doubled over in pain, I shouldn't worry about them. Easier said than done mind!

Now at work, on a day with a huge workload, and two hours less than usual to get it all done in - ARGH!

At least I have lovely scan pictures, and lurking for more scanning news to keep me sane :)

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 11:42

Yay for great scan news Musical - yippee!!!

jazzy283 · 07/11/2011 11:54

musical yay pleased scan was all good news and you are both right not worrying is easier said than done but im determined to enjoy this lol lol ooooo i cant wait for my first scan i think ill relax a bit more then :)

jenfraggle · 07/11/2011 12:39

Happy Birthday Biscuits my turn on Weds

Scan confirmed just 1 in there, phew! Everything is looking as it should be.

dreamfeeder · 07/11/2011 12:41

hooray musical!!! How lovely! One is better for your first I think- for all the reasons we already said- enough of a lifestyle shock, plus you can swim, baby massage etc and just have a wonderful time together!

purple, DD is normally Olbus-oiled, I liberally douse her sleeping bag, ignoring the instructions that say 4 drops on a hankie and let them inhale. I figured a few good shakes on her bag was the real way...!!

biscuits, I'm with you on the tired.... Mine is pregnancy plus broken nights plus not even getting a nice rest in the evenings any more. But Happy Birthday! I say sod the ironing and have a rest!!!! Glad you got some good bootie.

The menace is fighting her nap in her cot now, so I'd best go and try and soothe her a bit. I am having an unsuccessful day- I decided to ring the midwife as the braxton hicks I'm getting are really strong and uncomfortable- they weren't like this until way, way later in my last pregnancy, just for reassurance/advice. Didn't go to the mw drop-in session, as it clashed with nap time (thats not going to plan now anyway so now i regret it) and my mw has her mobile off plus I'm a bit scared of her anyway and sure she'll just pooh-pooh me hmm...

Will be popping back for dizzy and jen's scan results. Jen it is for twins then! Wink

dreamfeeder · 07/11/2011 12:41

ooooh jen!!! Cross posts! Congratulations, fabulous news!!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 12:52

Congrats Jen for more good scan news!

scarletfingernail · 07/11/2011 13:07

Congrats both musical and jen. Really fab news.

musicalmrs · 07/11/2011 13:15

Congrats jen, that's great news!

dream, I'm more than happy with one ;) Since the last scan, even though we only saw one heartbeat, several people have hinted that it still could be - including my midwife! I was still convinced it was one in there, but DH has been a tad worried about it!

Make sure you talk to someone about those BHs :( They sound worrying, and it's better to be reassured than to spend your time worrying about it..

fishcakefoxtrot · 07/11/2011 14:07

Hello, have been offline for one reason or another for what seems like ages.
Will come back and have a proper catch up later but in the meantime,
Happy birthday Biscuits- hope your house has warmed up and that your day is getting better.
Hooray for good scans for Musical and Jen
And finally, welcome and congratulations to Jazzy

BartletForAmerica · 07/11/2011 14:48

Great scan news Musical and Jen. Grin

I'm looking forward to Friday and our scan, partly so we can just tell everyone while I am so unwell! Smile

Hope you are well, fishcake, and that you can catch us up on all your news soon.

dream, hope you can get to speak to your midwife.

Wants3 · 07/11/2011 16:29

Congrats on the scan news. Wish it was me, I am going to be pretty much 13 weeks when I have my scan on Monday:( I hope it doesn't skew the NT results as that's the limit isn't it?

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 16:41

Dream any word from your midwife yet?

Wants - I have a feeling that the time limit for the NT bit is 13+6? I might be wrong though. I thought it was 13+ something rather than 13 dead on.....

hawthers · 07/11/2011 16:47

thought it was between 10 and 14 weeks although not too sure why. with DS i had it at 13 + 1 so you'll be fine i'm sure x

musicalmrs · 07/11/2011 17:04

Wants - mine today was at what I thought was 12w+6 - turns out it's 13w+1. It's fine as long as it's no later than 13w+6! Think of it as an advantage - think of all the extra things your LO can show off for you being that extra bit older! :)

Hope this week passes quickly for you - I know my last week waiting seemed to take forever!

Biscuitsandtea · 07/11/2011 17:09

Any news from Dizzy?

She was scanning today too wasn't she?

Wants3 · 07/11/2011 18:06

Thanks for reassurance on dates. This week is going to go so slow!
Complete change of subject, any ideas on what to wear for my graduation ceremony? I don't really do posh!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 07/11/2011 19:07

Happy Birthday, Biscuits! Have a good one.

Yay for the good scans, Musical and Jen!

Dream, did you get anywhere with your midwife?
