Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 21:18

Ha! Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:23

Oh, and it also comes from our hi-lar-i-ous impression of the people that go on Jeremy Kyle.

'You get me Jeremy?' 'yeah, but she can't be pregnant because we only did it once round the back of Iceland innit'

I should also clarify that we don't watch it, but while we lived with the in-laws, my FIL is a closet JK fan so we got subjected to it a fair bit. It was oddly compulsive viewing though and I did find myself thinking 'I'll get on with XYZ just a soon as I've seen the results of this paternity test!' Grin

dreamfeeder · 01/11/2011 21:33

Love the twin carrier, thanks ninja! I also saw one to take little twins from birth, but both on your front... weego or something. Will try and find it again, but it did go down to 3lb so if they're early or little could use it straight away. Could be a while before they reach 7lb (or they could be whoppers!!!).

Great how you have to justify not watching JK biscuits, having a little giggle to myself over that!

Dreading work tomorrow... I think I booked myself quite a busy day and can't quite remember who and what. Making me nervous.

I was born in Leicester! moved when I was 3 though. Innit.

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:34

Sorry, that should be done it once, not did it once Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:35

I'll need to brush up on my street grammar before I'll be allowed on JK!

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:36

Or maybe even 'I only done her once round the back of Iceland'

I think I should go to bed now.....

NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 21:38

get yourself a nice croydon facelift and a dough-y complexion and make sure you scowl and speak at a high decibel level and you'll be fine.

Imps7 · 01/11/2011 21:40

Yo yo yo s'up dawgs. Yo is so street it well 'urts innit.

Biscuitsandtea · 01/11/2011 21:43

Right, that's it, Imps is hereby engaged as my JK trainer Grin

With Ninja on the style and appearance elements.

I'm off to find some N-Dubz or summat to listen to...

Imps7 · 01/11/2011 21:45

Na na naaaaaaai!

NinjaChipmunk · 01/11/2011 21:47

Slightly nervous, I have to go in for an office meeting at 3pm today. It got arranged last week, just after I'd told them I was pregnant. I'm now really worrying that they may be trying to fire me. Of course it could be simply to review my performance (I am still new and so they do need to do reviews every once in a while), or even to talk about any issues or concerns I might have whilst being pregnant there. But I've been hearing a lot lately about how others have been fired for being sick too often, even people with valid doctor's notes, so I'm worried how they might take me announcing I'm 5 weeks pregnant after only being with them for 6 weeks Confused. I'm already looking up about taking them to an employment tribunal if this should occur - which I will definitely do if they are indeed firing me for being pregnant. fx this is just me being paranoid and all will be fine.

dreamfeeder · 02/11/2011 07:39

Fx for a paranoid dizzy with nothing to worry about!!!! Maybe they'll just review you and tell you how marvellous you are!!!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 02/11/2011 07:45

Dizzy that sounds really stressful, poor you. You don't know that's what they're planning so try not to worry too much in advance (although a quick check of your rights is always a good plan!). Good luck! Let us know how the meeting goes.

Can I ask a q of all the experienced preggos in here already feeling movement? I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, or perhaps have an overactive imagination, but I think I may have just felt the baby move?!?! I was lying awake thinking I had wind, and wondering why that would be (haven't eaten/drunk anything likely to cause that). Then I focused on it a bit more and it feels a little like internal bubbles of air, occasionally popping somewhere internally (can't think of a clearer way to describe it!) finally I thought about the baby, and realised this feeling is actually down where I use the doppler, not higher up where I usually get wind. Am I imagining it?!?! Pretty please can someone describe first movements to me? I'm only 14+4 and this is my first pg so it seems a bit early to feel anything! I haven't had the usual results of normal wind tho (ahem).

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 07:50

Agree with he others Dizzy - good idea to check your rights but try not to panic until you know what they want. It may just be that they want to arrange your health assessment thingy that they have to do when you're pg to make sure nothing in your job puts you at risk?

Scream sounds like how people describe those first early movements. Often I think people might feel that for a few weeks before they get kicks etc.

Still nothing on the movement front here Sad although nothing on the Envy / Blush movement front either!!! Yay!!!

Munkiii · 02/11/2011 11:13

Morning preggos! I have been told by a spy maybe that I may find some advice on slings here? I posted in slings/carriers so if perhaps you could have a look at my thread if you have time I would really appreciate it.

here

Thank you, apparently if I rub myself against you my pg will be confirmed even sooner? May I?

scarletfingernail · 02/11/2011 11:43

I have done my food shopping this morning and the buggers who work in Sainsbos have stocked the tins of Christmas chocs in huge piles in front of the entrance making it completely impossible to go in the shop without putting a couple of tins in my trolley. I'm sitting here pigging out on Quality Street and it's on November 2nd! I don't even buy any until a week or so before Christmas usually. I might have to complain Wink

Hi Munkii nice to see you pop in. Sorry I can't advise on the sling, I didn't bother with DS but there are a couple of experts here who I'm sure will be back to help with your query.

Scream what you've described does sound as though it could be the baby. I'm 15+5 and am feeling the same thing. The same as you it's in the same place that the doppler picks up the hearbeat. With DS I didn't feel that kind of movement until about 18 weeks but it could have been happening before that and I'd not noticed.

Dizzy got my fingers crossed for you.

Biscuits are you feeling better today my lovely?

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 11:49

Feeling loads better today thanks Scarlet - even needed a healthy snack of 3 or 4 chocolate digestives before I got up this morning Grin

Those buggers at Sainsbos!! I bought a ton of QS for the Trick or Treaters but have been forced to finish them up since Sad. Just down to the toffees etc now Sad

Forgotten everything else xx

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 11:49

Not a ton of QS, that would be a tin! A ton would be a lot even for me!

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 11:52

Oh, and on the topic of Christmas things in November, I always look forward to the Christmas drinks coming in at Starbucks Smile. And that happens tomorrow so may have to find my way to a Starbucks and treat myself. It was always my (decaffeinated) treat when pg with DS on my way from the train station to the office (with my second breakfast of a cinnamon swirl Blush)

scarletfingernail · 02/11/2011 11:54

Ooooh Biscuits I start with the toffees. When we get down the the strawberry and orange ones I let DH take them to share at work Grin

Glad to hear you're feeling better today. Choc digestives have been a breakfast favourite of mine for the last week or so. Bad. I have been making up for it though and been having at least 5 fruit and veg a day. Satsumas are my thing at the moment.

Biscuitsandtea · 02/11/2011 11:57

See we should share the tins! I love all the cream ones! Smile
