sorry - not the best at thread naming, but thought we needed one as 100years said.

Hope you found out what was wrong 100years, and are getting treatment.

Had ongoing aches and pains all day but nothing in a contractiony way. Parents coming tonight instead of Saturday though which is good as can then relax about something getting going properly in the middle of the night, as they live about 4 hours away. And have a sweep on Monday, so if they plan to stay till Tuesday, I will at least know on Monday whether anything is dilating etc.

Saw Tp the other day, obviously pre birth and she looked fab :) and we had a walk and icecreams. She had a cuddle of Edith :)

I think we're reaching growth spurt 3weeks now! At least I have milk in the fridge expressed if I need to I'll get OH to do a midnight feed :) but it's settling down now generally and I'm feeling nice and relaxed even if I'm tired :)

Dont worry jojo, we won't leave you - as they say it ain't over till the fat lady sings - hopefully you will be singing very soon and in the meantime I am pulling up a chair and getting ready to make you a virtual cup of raspberry leaf tea !

Ah jojo, I'm still with you. Have a feeling I'm not going to have a September baby after all! Trying all the home remedies, but baby seems to be safely ensconced down there. Got an appointment with the midwife this morning. Last Tuesday the dr said they would induce me if blood pressure goes about 140/90. In a silly way I'm almost hoping it does just so I can meet my little one.

I don't think im going to have a september baby either booked in for monday so will defo be a october baby unless anything happens before which i doubt!

Hope your blood pressure is ok, I saw my midwife yesterday and nearly burst into tears its just sooo frustrating!

Sooooo got my fingers crossed that the hospital has a bed free on Monday if not I'm taking my own and camping out in the carpark! Been practicing putting the car seat into the car so exciting!
Going for a walk around the local Marina tomorrow to try and get this baby out might even have a sneaky vodka lol

An old school friend of myn gave birth 2 a baby girl thisorning, about 1 week early, only 6lb 5oz!!! Teeny. An old colleague also gave birth 2 a girl a few days ago,
any day now jojo & alice !

So I saw the midwife this morning. Blood pressure is ok which is good news, but I have a rash (which I can't see because my tummy is in the way - tried to take a picture with mobile, but can't get angle right). Anyway midwife said it could be thrush - not the news I wanted at this stage. Will have to get myself to the drs again tomorrow.

She also tried to do a sweep, but couldn't reach properly because I was too tense. It's really hard not to tense up when that is about to happen though. She said she didn't think I was ready yet anyway as my cervix was still quite long. Lovely!

Sorry if tmi but getting a bit worked up. Had a teary moment yesterday. Feeling run down with ulcers, cold, rash, bleeding gums and lips. Got to have another sweep on Tuesday - something to look forward to. If not, induction booked for Friday so a few days to go yet. Aargh.

DB and SIL had their baby on Wednesday so I now have a niece, going to go coo over her today.

DD has had no more bloody nappies, thankfully, but made a repeat appearance at A&E this week. DS took a tantrum, grabbed the phone, and threw it, as bad luck would have it the damn thing hit DD directly on the head really hard. My parents decided to show their support by telling I'd end up in trouble with SS if I keep going to A&E and that I need to start smacking DS's bum. Huge help

Woke up at 2am Saturday morning with contractions took myself in to hospital @ 9pm and got sent away again after some really strong and painful contractions came bk to the hospital @ 3am this morning where I have been ever since

Hi everyone I have been lurking but wanted to let you know baby Edward was born at 6.22 on Friday after pre-eclampsia induced induction. Just made it onto the september list! I am wishing the very best to all those still waiting. What an amazing experience! Will share birth story once from hospital. X x x

Can you get someone to squeeze you Jojo and pop the baby out I know that's very much not how it happens!

Haha 100 wen we were gettibg frustrated dh suggested me pushing my tummy downwards 2 encourage lo out, then joked that we could suck him out with vacuum hose :-)

Just very quickly to say am lurking and sending lots of supportive vibes to the remaining mummies to be whilst I get to know my son... These amazing, exhausting, breath takingly wonderful days will be yours to enjoy very soon and your babies will be ready to meet you and the world.

I will post a bit of background on the last few hours of my own pregnancy once I have a spare hand to type properly but worth knowing that I had a 'failed' sweep 3 days before going into labour and also 2 nights of false starts. Don't feel dismayed it is so very close.

Jimmi my OH said exactly the same!!! Lol. I told him that would only possibly work when I'm 10cm but I never tried it in actual labour!

Cbear - really sorry your parents were so unhelpful - think it will take more than that for ss to have concerns - a and e see so much, I think they know the difference between abuse and bad luck.

Wanted to say sorry for not posting for almost a week now. Still pregnant! Term plus 16. Was tightening away end of last week so after seeing obstetrician postponed induction in hope I went on my own. Unfortunately the tightenings kept starting and stopping. Had scan today and fluid levels low, so currently in hospital being induced. Hopefully will have some baby news for you all before long. Had a break from mn as was getting frustrated with waiting, and decided to try to avoid obsessing.

Hope everyone is well. Will catch up on thread when I have a chance. Looks like an October baby for me now. Pom poms still waving!
