Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

This baby is playing bloody games with me! I've had contractions all afternoon, 8 mins apart and lasting around 40-50 seconds each. We were in town shopping so decided to head home, by the time we got back they had stopped. Now they've started again, same spacing and duration but they're not getting any closer together or lasting any longer. Braxton flipping Hicks.

Fingers crossed you'll be on your way soon Annie, you're right on the old wives' tales! Maybe your baby is waiting until the last possible moment before induction just to keep you guessing? I predict Baby Annie will arrive tomorrow

Hope Feral is okay and that a MW is encouraging her to push at this very moment :)

Everyone seems to be in that awaiting events stage, we've all got signs they're just not amounting to much. These must be the laziest babies in history. Maybe we're just all too good at being hostesses? They don't want to leave :)

100years · 07/09/2011 22:04

Hey. I'll post properly tomorrow and catch up. But I wanted you to know I'm still here. Have induction bed booked for next week so long as there is space. But still hopeful it'll kick off before then. Had a proper show today so I'm taking that as a good thing. :)

Sleep well everyone :)

So exciting. I had a show with my first dd and labour started very soon after and waters broke so hoping that the same happens soon for you guys.
I have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever and am thoroughly bored of waiting now - 6 days before csection but cannot do anything because of all the pain - think I might book a day in bed on Friday and just sleep so that time passes more quickly.
Tried a very hot green Thai curry tonight and a clary sage bath plus clary sage massage oil and all I can say is that I smell lovely ! I had more luck with prem labour by housework and gardening - if I didn't hurt so much trust me I would be collecting leaves and spring cleaning ! Looking forward to hearing some good news from one of you in the morning - sleep well ladiesSmile

cakeismysaviour · 08/09/2011 00:28

Thanks for the congratualations everyone!

Annie - Happy Birthday for yesterday, sorry I'm late! I'm glad you had a lovely day and hopefully your LO will make his/her apperance soon (perhaps the birthday vindaloo will have helped!).

100years - So glad you have the fridge sorted and it certainly sounds like things are moving very much in the right direction for your LO to arrive soon!

Ssmile - Sleep batteries are still very much running on empty, but I am off to bed soon, so fingers crossed. Really pleased that your LO gave you a good night last night though! Hopefully I will also be dancing again soon!! I will look for the postnatal thread and chat with you, Bumpy and Summerpixie over there too.

Summerpixie - Congratulations on your LO, sorry I must have missed your birth annoucement.

MrsSawyer - Lazy time on the couch is lovely! Glad you have a little more time to relax now that DS1 is back at school, get your relaxation time before your LO arrives, hey?!

tiddleypompom - Promise not to mention wine - I hate it! Now cocktails on the other hand...... Don't worry though, I have only had one glass of champagne! Also hope that your SIL is able to be happy for you when the LO arrives and that she conceives soon.

Jojo1983 - Bless your Mum keeping the vodka safe! Grin I'm partial to a little vodka myself Wink

Misty9 - Hope you had a nice day out with DH and that you get the HB that you want!

feralgirl - Sorry if I made you a little Envy ! I hope that right now you are giving birth and that tommorrow you will be posting your birth annoucement!

Conkertree - Hopefully your LO won't be too late! I'm sure we will all keep you company on here until he/she arrives (I certainly will) :)

Jimmijam - Exciting news about your show, hopefully a good sign the LO is going to arrive soon!

sebs71 - Thank you! Hope your wait won't be too long!! I had a few cries too, I think it helps to let it all out. (hug)

Louplet - Hope that DS1 is enjoying school, and that the raspberry leaf tea works for you soon!

Minkyjj - I sympathise with needing to pee all the time, I literally needed to go again pretty much as soon as I had sat back down by the end of my pregnancy! Hope you get some sleep before LO arrives.

Loomer - Little George is doing wonderfully thank you! Yes, I was 38 weeks - not due until 19th Sept! I had a really positive birthing experience considering that I had been worrying about it! I had been having BH for a few days, and had been up and down all evening with them seeming worse than ever. At about 3am I realised it was not just BH, but the real thing starting and I proceeded to rush around panicing that I hadn't quite finished packing my hospital bag whilst DP was panicing about getting me to the hospital! I thought things would progress much more slowly than they did, even though the pains had got so bad that it took us forever to get inside the hospital as I had to keep stopping every time I got a contraction! We actually got in there at about ten to four and baby was really in a hurry - it all seemed to at 100 miles an hour, but everything was pretty straightforward and I really feel lucky that it was all over so quickly!

I hope that the situation with SIL resolves itself soon, and that your niece/nephew will be ok x

Cbear6 - Hope your LO stops teasing you and hurries up!

I think I have caught up with everyone, but I bet I have forgotton someone! Sorry!

jimmijam · 08/09/2011 07:31

Minky, with our ds i had a show as labour began (but with dd it was several days b4) so heres hoping
how u doing cbear ?
Loads of painful bh in the night
got midwife later 2day so will ask her 4 internal and possible sweep
think my waters may b lealing too :-/

100years · 08/09/2011 08:26

Still on phone, still here. Was woken in night twice by strong bh but I don't think they were painful really. Ended up getting up at 5 and dusting the front room and hanging up baby outfits. I would have cleaned the kitchen too would it not have disturbed OH! Is that the extent of my nesting?! Lol. Well I think I 'might' be having a few contractions this morning Confused so please will my uterus on to keep doing what it's doing. Going to try sleep a little bit more just now.

Ooh 100years I've come looking for you! let's hope it's starting!!! xxx

MrsSawyer · 08/09/2011 09:31

well im 40 weeks today - its due date!!! Am being induced tomorrow, bricking it but has to be done, i guess.

Good luck to all those who are well on their way, come on lets get these babies evicted! :-) x

jimmijam · 08/09/2011 09:32

Sorry, by lealing i meant leaking. Also got a slight case of the runs and feeling a bit sick. Gunna head back 2 bed 4 a bit get some rest :-)

tiddleypompom · 08/09/2011 10:45

Happy EDD MrsSawyer! Hope you can manage to make it out for a trip to the shops if only to scare people ('yes I'm due today') but also that a walk gets things started of their own accord. If not, then all the best for your induction tomorrow - you will have your baby for cuddles by the weekend!

jimmi and 100years sounds like you'll need that rest very soon...

Good grief this is all getting very exciting! How many babies by Friday evening I wonder? I think we'll need accurate birth times to accompany stories please, so that we can understand the running order of events :o

I shall be going out for lunch with NCT friends today (still only one baby between us) and then back to my parents' home for a few days - a change of scenery much needed. They live in the rural backwaters of Worcestershire and I'm hoping to be able to go for a lovely walk over the fields to blow away cobwebs (and encourage baby downwards) :)

I shall be thinking of you all soon-to-be-new-mummies and hope to log on later this eve. If we were on Netmums I would be sending hugs and labour dust (!) but instead I salute you all, and wish you the very best. Getting ready to being just a little envious very soon!

Misty9 · 08/09/2011 11:38

Morning ladies

ooh, jimmi sounds promising (if not pleasant symptoms!) this could be the start?

come on 100years uterus :) keep going!

cbear that sounds very frustrating :( and I can empathise slightly...
sebs - any signs due-date twin? A good cry is cathartic I find - might be indulging in that myself today.

Sorry for not mentioning everyone personally, I don't know how to go back a page while writing a post! Am always very impressed at the posts who mention everyone...

Feeling a bit Fedup dotcom today :(
After good sweep yesterday I lost my plug last night (urgh - not pleasant!) and been having bloody show. Had some tightenings and cramps throughout night and now.....nothing Confused
These false starts are bloody frustrating aren't they?! Next sweep wouldn't be until next weds as my mw only works on a weds and didn't offer any alternatives. I'll be 41+2 by then, and she said they'll want to induce me by the 19th - although I don't have to agree if all is fine with baby.
Come on baby - being born at home will be so much nicer!

Hope all have good - and productive Grin - days x

Jojo1983 · 08/09/2011 12:15

Hey ladies sending positive labour vibes!
Had the worse nights sleep last night with a mixture of heartburn, backache and period like pains keeping me up. Other than that nothing!
Been for a lovely walk this morning now putting my feet up to rest and maybe have an afternoon nap.
Hope everyone is doing good this morning and am looking forward to hearing all the baby arrivals.

ssmile · 08/09/2011 12:18

Cheering you on sounds like maybe few babes joining us over the weekend ooooh heres hoping.

Having lazy morn after vpoor night was in quiet tears as DH left for work in foul mood as DD1 was up most of night who he was looking after and babe had endless feeding didn't think nipples couldn't take much more. DH texted sorry later and I got an hr in bed with babe next to me so feel better now. DD1 last day at preschool today so she 'scared' about that and left at 7.20am in tears this morn. Poor thing she has such big changes to cope with in her life over last couple wks, and starts school Mon. I'd be grateful when she gets some routine back as she much happier then.

loomer · 08/09/2011 12:50

Hey, anyone popped yet? Anything? Anyone?
Something's got to happen soon - we've got so many who sound like they're on the verge Smile

ssmile, I know what you mean with the DD routine - mine has already had to deal with house move and new class at school, I'm just hoping that the new arrival doesn't tip her over the edge. Sounds like your DD is struggling a bit - really hope that next week's school experience is all positive for her. Maybe she'll find that having a tiny newborn sibling is a good talking point with her new friends, the girls certainly seem to find them endlessly fascinating (and some of the boys too of course!). Anyhow, hope that you have a better day and your nipples get a chance to recover from last night's frenzy.

I'm feeling better today - I couldn't get a response from my brother's phone at all yesterday and left him a voicemail which very quickly degenerated into tears (not my intention at all). Then sent an email at 11pm getting it all off my chest. But still slept badly because I was worrying about him being upset. Anyhow, he phoned me back this morning very apologetic and we had a lovely chat ("You're my little sis and I'll always love you, nothing could change that" etc.), turns out he was totally snowed under with work yesterday, had a big meeting in the evening, plus baby has been having a bad week, went downhill again overnight, back on ventilator, antibiotics, etc.etc. I really felt pretty awful having piled a tearful phone message from slightly hormonal and sleep deprived sister on top of that lot! But feeling SO much better now having cleared the air with both of them.

Now I'm considering going up for a visit at the weekend (stay over at my parents house), do you think that's a stupid idea? They're only about an hour and a half away, but not sure if that would be silly given that I'll be less than one week off EDD and expecting a pretty short labour this time. Should I wait until after I've had baby. Just really want to give my brother a big hug (and also see my parents' new house which they moved into last weekend, I'm nosey too Grin).

100years · 08/09/2011 13:01

Conker, re the home visit from the mw, I don't normally have them, but I rang her and asked for another sweep, and she is only at the doctor's surgery I go to once a week. WE do have the booking appointment and the birth talk ones at home, but that's normally it.

Sebs, yesterday I was booked in for induction, your mw will advise you on what to do.

Ssmile, dancing is good :) Hope you have a better evening, sorry you had a tough night.

Loomer, glad you managed to speak to your SIL and hope like you do that she doesn't hold a grudge about it, and that your brother is OK.

TP, hey again :) Let's hope your mum is right for you :) Hope you have had a good lunch.

Misty, glad things are favourable there for you cervix wise, it's amazing how much personal stuff we are all happy to share about the shape/state of our cervixes! Thanks for your shout out to my uterus! Re writing posts to everyone, I have the topic in my watch list, when I click on it, it shows the whole thread, and I write my reply in a little TextEdit thing, so I can scroll down as I am writing and hopefully not miss people.

Come on baby Annie, maybe the thought of strong drugs will be enough to get LO on their way!

Jimmi, any more leakage?

CBear I can empathise about baby playing games, I started timing 'contraction' and then they all bloody stopped! But like you I just think we are being lovely places to live.

Minky, a day in bed is good, I enjoyed mine, only put on a nightie (usually sleep naked) and enjoyed just really really relaxing.

cake, you sound like you are doing really well there :)

AC Hey, hiya. :) I thought it might be, now I'm not so sure!

MrsS, hopefully LO knows induction is happening tomorrow, but if not then you know it's all going to happen very soon :)

jojo, naps are the best :)

Well, yesterday.... Pottered around the house in the morning, boring doing little of nothing much, went to the loo just before a bath and had a massive amount of gloop! Lots of slimy stuff, oooh yuk. Then bath and a bit of lady pruning! Headed up to the hosp where I bumped into TP on her way out of her appointment, so we had a chat for 10 mins before I went and joined the endless queue and wait to see the docs. MW did BP and urine, +1protein and tiny tracy of blood in urine, but that could and most probably was the show I had had, and BP was abs fine. Then waited to see the docs, was a newbie (although qualified) doc so kind of felt like a bit of a disjointed appointment as she had to go and check re the induction. She also had a student doc with her, so they both examined my belly and had a good feel of the head which is still at 1/5. Heartbeat heard etc, bump measured normal :) Then the discussion re induction. Am booked in for next Tuesday, I have to ring at 10am and see if there is a bed avail, if there is then I go in, if not then I will either have to go for a check or I will ring back the following day. It's fine, I know I only have a week left now if I have to wait till Thurs before induction.

Had a nice evening with OH, made a nice pork and barley hotpot, chatted to sister and mum on phone, then played rummikub for a while before bed. Didn't sleep well again, and was woken with a few strong BH, I think they were BH as I don't recall that much pain, but they woke me up. Anyway I was awake at about 3am and couldn't get back to sleep then the 'nesting' set in and so I did some housework that wouldn't disturb OH, all of the newborn and 0-3month outfits we have been given are all hanging up on little baby coat hangers :) Fell asleep to a DVD, tried to have some more sleep after 8 but I just couldn't settle. Have had off and on tightenings that kind of feel like they would stop me doing something, but aren't majorly painful, at midday I started to time them, only for me to only have had 3 of them in the last hour! LOL. Have now cleaned the kitchen and will be going for a walk shortly. It's all because I told my sis (who is going to be at the birth with us) and my mum (who will be babysitting sister's kids) that I've had some pains that it's all stopped, jinxed myself! LOL.

Anyway, no waters have broken yet for me, and not holding out much hope now that it's all go go go today, but we shall see. My sis reckons I'll be 8 days late, which is tomorrow! LO is currently trying to kick her way out of my stomach, I've told her it's down and that she's trying to get out the wrong way!

Sorry Loomer, cross post there. Glad you have managed to clear the air with your brother. Don't' know re the going to parent's, would you be driving, could you go for a few hours as opposed to stopping? But then again, you never know, you could be absolutely fine.

100years · 08/09/2011 13:58

Oh Jimmi, sorry, sounds like you are in a bit of a situation, being told two different things there. Hopefully they will do what is best for you on the day.

I've still got the slime! Sorry, that's all I can call it at the moment! Have had a few more 'pains' I don't know if they are just strong BH or if they are contractions. Timings vary from 16 mins, 15 mins, 9 mins, 5 mins, 9 mins, so nothing regular, but it hasn't stopped completely like I thought it had!

OH just asked what he can do to bring on LO, I told him 'shag me' funnily enough he has turned down this request!!! LOL He put on some fast music on instead! Left over hotpot then I'm going for a walk, let's get this baby moving out of me!

OP posts:
100years · 08/09/2011 14:48

Well it's walk time.

For an update, just had a bowel movement followed by a medium strength pain! Both happened while I was sat on the toilet!!! LOL. I'm only glad the poo happened in the right place! Grin well you gotta have a laugh. And more goo.

Anyway, they haven't stopped :) and while they aren't all painful there are more of them, and intervals are 8, 10, 10, 15, 5, 12, 9, 16 with the 8 minute being the most recent.

So it's walk time, then I'll have a bath and reassess the situation. I may still be saying all this in 2 days time, but lets really hope not!!!

Having the same 100 since last nights big show, lots of goo, pretty clear here, only had a teemy bit of blpod in show. Loads of painful bh but also irregular here, tho i havent beem timing them. Trip 2 the loo have stopped 4 now tho (which im glad about cuz my bums a tad sore from all the wiping).
Sprry about all the typos, buttons on my phone r small & on mumsnet 4 some reason the words show up on screen ages after iv typed them.
4 the last eeek or so iv been dtuffing my face, mostly with carbs, perhaps yhats whats caused babys growth spurt?! Ooh dear
2day a colleague suggested 'loving, curry and driving an oldini down a local pothole ridden road' , his wife agreed-all 3 of theirs were early!
Ooh actually mayb i do need another trip 2 the loo :-(
