MIL has taken DD out for the day so DS is currently playing a letters game on the laptop whilst I catch up with some tv. Feel bad for not doing chores but making the most of DD not being here. As soon as I sit down she sees me as a bouncy castle so it's nice to just sit and chill!

More reflexology tomorrow, as much as I love it I'd still prefer it if baby arrived instead! xx

8rubberduckies · 15/06/2011 10:33

PS I also have a really hard bump most of the time, when it used to just be after I had a period of activity as a rule. It is making me really breathless and I can't even lift up the washing basket without being out of breath.

8rubberduckies · 15/06/2011 10:37

PPS Millie enough of feeling guilty about not doing chores! I suffer from the same ailment at the moment, and am trying my hardest not to dwell on all the piles of shite everywhere housework. Enjoy relaxing - it may be your last chance for a while!

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 10:42

8RD I'm with you on the breathlessnes. Unfortunately it makes me even more impatient with DS as where I'd usually explain something to him I'm just being short with him :(

crazychic I'm not sure what IBS feels like but contractions, real ones hurt the whole bump and lower back and general surrounding area. I'm guessing IBS pains you can pinpoint to a certain area but from what I remember real contractions hurt from front to back, top to bottom of bump and you WILL definitely be able to tell the difference when it happens.

crazychic141187 · 15/06/2011 11:04

Thanks Millie! My IBS pain is all at the bottom of my bump!

AlmightyCitrus · 15/06/2011 11:20

Righty-o I'm off then.
Don't think I can update from the hospital as they've got mobiles blocked, but I'll do my best.

8rubberduckies · 15/06/2011 11:24

Good luck Almighty !!!! Smile

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 11:28

Best of luck Almighty!!

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 11:31

Having another hot flush - seem to be getting them more and more. Slept in just knickers last night as was so hot and would happily walk around naked if it wasn't for the neighbours!

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 11:48

And got upset tum... Sad

neenewps · 15/06/2011 12:03

Good luck almighty

millie I had a bad tum yesterday. Was awful but seemed to be just the one bout and now I'm fine??

8RD eeeek, I know! Although I have now mentally prepared myself for a arrival in July!

Having a lot of discharge today - sorry if that is tmi! Blush I am busy renovating a chest of drawers I picked up second hand. Hoping to get it pretty much finished today but it has just started spitting.. grrrrr it isn't supposed to rain today!

Good luck Almighty! Look forward to your next update.

I just ate a massive bag of M&Ms and now feel sick... ho hum..

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 13:08

Lol Moog

PerpetualProvocateur · 15/06/2011 13:27

Good luck Almighty!

Moog, I've also got quite a hard bump, which I believe is due to frequent BHs. They are becoming so intense they can really take my breath away!

My mum arrived from the States this morning and will be here for the next few weeks...hoping my little man makes his appearance sooner rather than later! Two days until due date...

Thornykate · 15/06/2011 13:43

Just a quick post before the LO wakes up

Can't believe I missed that miss has had lil mr hooha Blush sorry, huge belated congratulations hope all is well x

Good luck almighty will be thinking of you & looking forward to update when you can.

8rd the sickness landed here too this morning, DS3 was throwing up all morning bless him. Luckily he is an easy patient & never misses the bucket but it's not easy looking after baby & DS whilst keeping them in separate rooms to try & avoid the baby catching whatever he had. Thankfully he is much better now & I have let him out of quarantine Wink

sasa hope celeste is more settled now.

OK. Time for someones feed methinks, hope everyone else is fine!

Sarahmumtobe · 15/06/2011 14:03

Congratulations Mishoohaa and best of luck Almighty Citrus!!! 40+1 and no signs of anything-not really noticing an increase in BHs either. I'm eating like a horse so hope this baby hurries up!

Nurse sorry to hear you've had a scare but glad to hear that OC unlikely.

Can't wait to hear about some more arrivals!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/06/2011 14:43

Being trying and failing to catch up, have been reading though, eager to hear news of more babies.
Congratulations to MissHoohaa on her little boy!

And go AlmightyCitrus, we're awaiting the news of the safe arrival of LittleCitrus :)

Crazy - the cx i was having last week may well have been very intense BH, and they were across the top of my bump, very uncomfortable but not painful. They definitely felt different from IBS pains (I have had this in the past).

MOSP - fingers crossed that Percy will go home soon!

PP - yey for your mum coming, now hurry up baby your Grandma wants to see you!

Sending happy end of pgcy vibes to all of you still in the waiting room, you'll be holding your little snuggly bundles soon.

Feeding is going ok all over the place, but dd is still very mucousy and windy. She has had some very long feeds and my nipples have been a bit sore. My lovely MW has ordered me some Lansinoh on prescription!

Feeling ok in myself except sleep all over the place and afterpains are really bad, especially when she is feeding. But my tummy is shrinking lie mad!

sasamaxx · 15/06/2011 16:09

Congrats misshoohaa
Good luck Almighty
Lansinoh on prescription Kara? Envy I spent a bleedin tenner on mine
Thanks Thorny - much better night last night. Hoping she's just a windy baby and doesn't have actual colic.
Had 10 day midwife check today to be handed over to health visitor. Uterus is all the way down already - that'll be the bfing then Grin and Celeste is 6oz over her birth weight - whoo hoo! Makes up for all the broken nights anyway.

Hope everyone waiting for their babies aren't getting fed up with all the baby talk - soon you'll forget you were ever pregnant at all. Must read back over the previous threads at some point.

crazychic141187 · 15/06/2011 16:15

Thanks Kara. I'm hoping that the BH that I've been getting are intense enough to set my labour off soon as they have been really uncomfortable but not painful all at the top of my bump! Got my sweep tomorrow so fingers crossed that will set something off!

DaisyFields · 15/06/2011 17:12

Hello everyone and good luck citrus.

Just had a big cry in the garden to my mum, am so scared of this induction on Monday, I want SO much for things to happen themselves before then but it looks so unlikely now, not a twinge and 41+1 now.

Had these romantic ideas of excitedly grabbing my hospital bags in the middle of the night and rushing to the car - now it looks like I'll be spending a night in hospital without dp and some stranger in marigolds (in the words of my mw) "rummaging for your tonsils through your lady bits"

Sorry for the depressing post, I'm just so Envy of those of you who have your babies and the more days go on, the more I feel like a big old failure. Hopefully I can go back to being positive and excited just as quickly as it took me to turn scared and negative yesterday.

Sad poor sicky children, they sound like they're being very brave - feel better soon xxx

AlmightyCitrus · 15/06/2011 17:27

Quick, while I have a signal.
Nothing to report. Been here since 12.30 sat in the day room, and finally got moved into a proper room at 5pm. No one has been anywhere near me apart from the food lady. We are bored out of our tiny minds!
Food portions are teeny. I asked for a large meal so I could share with dh. I think an anorexic hamster would still be starving after the portion I got!
Ah well. Hopefully something will happen soon.

moomin156 · 15/06/2011 18:12

you poor thing almighty get your dh to go for a macd's :)
i do hope you are seen soon and a plan of action made. Good luck

crazychic141187 · 15/06/2011 18:15

Daisy I know how you feel as I'm in the same position as you - 41+1 and not a sign! Hopefully things will move for us this weekend! Try and stay positive - I had a day of feeling like that on Monday but it came and went and I feel better now - just think - we will have our babies this time next week :)

milliemuffin · 15/06/2011 18:46

Has anyone taken EPO but not orally?? Do you just pop it in as far as you can?
