jinglediddle · 30/11/2005 10:38

thats excellent bugs, hope the same happens to me. did have two seperate peole tell me i was blooming, belly wise and loooks wise, which was very nice of them.

LilacBump · 30/11/2005 11:55

hi diddle, i am now 13 wks 1 day. got first scan next friday. i have got over this nasty tummy bug i had. i feel a little faint when i've been standing up for a while. i also look quite pale, so i wonder if my iron levels are low.

Curlycapers · 30/11/2005 15:19

Hi, I am now 12wks and 4days, I went for my booking in appointment today and was really disapointed. The usual midwife had been delivering a baby all night so I had another one who basically didn't want to do anything. My app was at 9.30 and i could hear her talking to her colleagues and playing with the doppler and laughing until 9.45 then she apologised for being late! I feel really annoyed that they have wasted my time when they could have rescheduled it, as I now have to wait 3 weeks for another booking in app. Also nobody has booked my nuchal fold scan so I have 5 days to have one or it is too late!
Sorry about the rant but grrrrrrr!
(must admit though I only want the nuchal fold scan for a sneaky early peek at the baby!)

jinglediddle · 30/11/2005 16:48

curlycapers - you sort them out madam, this is your baby and you should demand decent care of your little one and yourself. Hope they sort you out, call them every day until they book your scan.

ladyschaefer · 01/12/2005 08:39

Im 12 weeks 5 days, got my Nuchal Fold scan today, feeling quite nervous actually. Still having a bit of sickness and quite bad headache's, are anyone else getting them? Glad to see your all doing so well. Here's to the second 3 months

LilacBump · 01/12/2005 10:05

good luck with the scan, ladyschaefer!

i've just seen that the pushchair i want to buy for this baby (gave old one to charity) is on sale at babiesrus! i've bought lots of things already but i think buying a pushchair at 13 weeks would definitely be a jinx!

jinglediddle · 01/12/2005 11:00

good luck ladyschaefer - all will be fine don't worry.

lilacbump - we've seen our travel system we want too, so tempted to buy it, DH would have if i had agreed, but not risking it yet, plenty of time for that sort of thing, i'd rather wait until i'm much further along.

jinglediddle · 01/12/2005 11:05

been for my blood tests this morning, had to queue for what felt like years, halfway around the hospital. hate needles, but i was brave, sure my arm will drop off later

ladyschaefer · 01/12/2005 13:03

I sympathise Diddle i had blood tests this morning too, quite sore now.Saw the baby its was really sweet although its on its head at the moment so all we could make out was legs mostly.

So im feeling very happy and much more relaxed now, cant wait till the 26th Jan when i get my anomoly scan

Curlycapers · 01/12/2005 16:02

Hi! How are you all feeling at the mo? I feel completely normal today which seems really strange after 6 weeks of being exhausted!
I decided to try and potty train dd (27months) yesterday afternoon after I realised that I won't be able to chase her around with a potty whilst looking after a new baby so I might as well try now and it's going unbelievably well, no accidents at all! Not an antenatal subject I know, but I am one proud mumma today!

Hi WW! I was worried about the regressing thing too. I think I'm gonna have some problems with dd as she still calls herself baby. Part of me thinks I should try to stop all babyish stuff now so she doesn't get too jealous and the other part says that she's not going to be little for long so I shouldn't take it away from her too early! Would welcome any advice/opinions girls!

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to push the "Big Girl" stuff. Don't really want to though - I feel guilty that I'm doing it 'cos of the new baby and not because its best for her. Dd was born in aug 03,

ladyschaefer - sooooo pleased you have seen baby, its wonderful isn't it. I am pleased to say, my ar is still attached although a little achy and sensitive. they took loads of blood, 3 tubes full.

curlycapers - well doen to your dd and to you too. i'm a childminder and i was so proud of my little charges when i got them trained. feeling rough still here, tired and sicky still. grateful for the feeling but wish it would give me a break.

mrsbabookaloo · 01/12/2005 20:33

Hello,

I'm joining the board too! This is my first post. I'm 13+4 weeks pregnant, due on 04/06/06, and we have the first thing we thought of was the sinister 06/06/06 if it's a couple of days late!

This is my first pregnancy and I don't feel at all how I expected. I've been feeling very down and "grey" and not as excited as I should be, and I've been very sick. Was hoping it would go away at 12 weeks, but definitely not - been sick three times today. Feel scared that I've somehow damaged my stomach or my digestive system and will never be the same again. But in saner moments, I'm counting on feeling better at around 15 weeks...pleease!

My dh (I've figured out the secret codes now) is wonderful and has shopped for me, cooked for me, brought me breakfast and looked after me. He has bought so many food things that I thought I might be able to eat only for me to look at them and go (insert gagging noise here). I can't face anything, can't even look in the cupboards or the fridge, and that makes every day hard. Also the commute to work...I've got off the bus to throw up on the pavement a LOT. Sorry...TMI.

I've had my scan and all was OK, though baby wouldn't behave and I had to go away and come back three times! I know I'm very lucky to have made it this far with no real problems.

So, that's me, joining the gang. How anybody does this twice or three times is beyond me!

BabyBelly · 02/12/2005 05:52

Congratulations mrsbabookaloo and bubbly1973 for passing 12 weeks and welcome!

I'm 11 weeks & 1 day
Can't wait for next week to pass.
Still feeling quesy and tired everyday

jinglediddle · 02/12/2005 07:57

congratulations bubbly - don't apologise for lurking!!! hope all is going well for you, hows the morning sickness? have you had any?

Mrsbabookaloo - congratulations to you too, i have been feeling low, tired and sick as well, have been looking forward to pregnancy for so long, its a shame its not all is cracked up to be, this is my first baby too. Your DH sounds excellent, wish mine took over in the kitchen more.

13 wks today

can't believe i've got this far, was really hoping the morning sickness would start giving me a break, but now i seem to have it all day rather than just in the afternoon as i did last week. Oh well its all part of the process.
