tiggyhop · 18/10/2005 10:38

hi everyone, sorry I have not been around. Kate Olivia was born on 3 October and with 3 under 3 I have been a bit hectic!

She is, of course, a poppet and arrived 30 mins after we got to the hospital (UCH). MWs wouldn't examine me as they had to "finish their paperwork" - I kept insisting that she was on her way. Everyone left the room then Kate arrived. I said "she's crowning", DH, who has never read a baby book in his life, thought I said "she's drowning", he shot out into the corridor shouting for help, a MW came in, saw that the cord was round Kate's neck, sorted things out and Kate was here.

All a bit amazing really, but apart from dreadful after pains I have got off very lightly with no stitches thank god.

Cabe · 18/10/2005 10:51

congratulations Tiggyhop - wow another quick birth... well done for not tearing - makes recovery so much quicker

Welcome little Kate Olivia {{hugs}}

Redhelen · 23/10/2005 18:51

Ahhh ,I miss the Ante- natal september threads!

As much as I moaned about late pregancy!

Like every one - Still hoping to hear from RedZuleika

jessysmummy · 24/10/2005 10:35

COngratulations Tiggyhop!
Am back on line now after DH decide to spend his paternity leave taking the computer apart! Needless to say he's back at work now so am free to surf...well as free as 2 DDs under 2 will allow!! We're so lucky that they are such beautiful little girls.
Desparate to hear if RZ is ok. Anyone heard anything? Suppose should really post on postnatal thread...

singleteenagemum · 24/10/2005 12:19

JM...where you been hun? other than off enjoying your two beautiful little girls. When was last time RZ posted?

milward · 24/10/2005 12:29

congrats tiggyhop xxx

I had awful afterpains as well. Started each time I bf for the first 3 days - worse than labour. Pain relief I was offered didn't even touch the sides. I had read on mn about visualization to get through the experoence in the same way that it can be used in labour. I thought about being on a beach everytime ds4 latched on. Just helped me cope. Good aspect was womb reducing very quickly despite having ds being number 4 & ds being 4.570kgs at birth (I was huge). Hope you're ok.

jessysmummy · 25/10/2005 09:44

HI!
I've been spending quality time with "My Girls" - sounds like Princess Diana!!!!! - while DH played at putting the computer back together. Funny if I spent all his paternity leave on mumsnet he'd have something to say about it but I dutifully bit my tongue. Have been trying to catch up on the postnatal thread so will post there when I've read everyone's joys, trials and tribulations.
STM - saw that you and Noah (and DNM) are getting on well (up until last tues which is where I've managed to read to!). So glad to hear it.
Tiggyhop - I mentioned the pains I had when BF with DD1 on this thread and several people replied with disbelief. Glad I wasn't imagining it but sorry to hear that you are suffering. Luckily I'm not suffering this time but Milward is right though - your uterus will be contracting extra quickly and pain will soon stop...but you'll know this anyway being a seasoned pro with 2 other tots. Hope they're behaving for you. Think last time RZ posted was nearly 3 weeks ago. Terribly worried about her. Let's hope her PC is broken or she's just too busy with her new little bundle.
