PJen just seen this. Thinking of you too and keeping fingers crossed all ok x

PJen · 30/10/2010 23:01

Holly smoke! I am booked for c-section tomorrow first in the morning as the consultant confirmed water is gone and chance of labour is high!! Baby is breech so they didn't even give me an option for anything else but c-section, which I am fine with anyway. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and am very worried about her being premture and unhealthy. I really didn't want a premature baby and feel guilty (indequate?) To keep her longer and give her a better chance of survival in this world. Am quite emotional and this is all going way faster than I thought. Will try to sleep a bit tonight but please pray for me that my LO is fine tomorrow. I will write when I can to keep u posted. Thank to ll of your nice words. They help! :)

CheeseandGherkins · 30/10/2010 23:05

Pjen will be thinking and praying for you and baby that all goes well. I can't believe you're having your baby tomorrow! Must be a lot to get your head around. Try and not to worry (stupid thing to say I know but try!) and relax. Sleep if you can, you'll benefit from the rest. Make sure you let them know if anything changes in the night with you like contractions etc. Wow! Best wishes for the morning!!

Lavitabellissima · 30/10/2010 23:32

PJEN Sending you a huge hug and all my good thoughts! You are going to be fine. 35 weeks is still really good.

I am scheduled in for my planned section at 36 weeks. There is a twins mum on my other thread who has just had her little fighters at 26 weeks!! they are both doing really well. You are in the best place and they will look after you and your baby [hsmile] Don't worry you will have a lovely little baby tomorrow, will be thinking of you xxx

93pjb · 30/10/2010 23:52

pjen thinking of you, hope you can get a bit of rest tonight. Big hug and lots of good wishes coming your way. As lavita said, 35 is pretty good giving - you and lo will be fine.

laurenamium · 30/10/2010 23:55

Good luck tommorow PJen!Ill be thinking of you and let us all know!!!xx

PJen · 31/10/2010 07:01

Holly smoke! I am in stage 1 labour waiting for the time to go by and to be honest so far I am not in a major unbearable pain. I actually wouldn't recognize it as any stge of labour if MWs haven't checked me nd they told me these are contractions and not BH and that I m dialated (ouch to the internal hand cervix check). Even losing water didn't really feel like losing water but obviously I have been losing water for a long time as there is not much left round my poor girl. no pain management till now but MW observing contractions intensity on monitor offered me all. It is so far very managable like a bad period pain with BHs. Anyway waiting to see if they put me for a section today or tomorrow or what is next?!?! I really pray she is healthy and not badly a premie. She is 35 weeks today. Will ctch up later and many thnks for nice words and remarks. You are all sweethearts. Xox

MrsSnaplegs · 31/10/2010 07:31

pjen wow I move house and look at what I've missed! I really hope you are both ok, you probably won't feel like posting later but we are all thinking of you! Can't believe I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and plan to be in work and your having your little one! All our thoughts are with you!

kellestar · 31/10/2010 08:16

PJen Good Luck today, exciting and scary, but you are in the best possible hands now.

Lavitabellissima · 31/10/2010 08:48

Thanks for the update Pjen you were my first thought when I woke up this morning [hsmile] I also remembered that the twin mum I met on my antenatal class had her twins at 34 weeks and they were both home after 4 days. Have they given you an estimated weight from your scan?

So much for your maternity leave! How is your DH? Hope pain levels stay under control and you feel good enough to keep us updated. Another big hug, coming your way [hgrin]

How is everyone else feeling? I have all my baby clothes drying in the kitchen and am feeling nearly ready. Must be full of hormones though as I feel so happy and excited, if all goes to plan I have 17 more sleeps until my two are here [hgrin] and we can have a coffee date PJen with our littles ones! Strix and any other SW londoners too x

CheeseandGherkins · 31/10/2010 09:12

Same as Lavita here, I was checking for updates on my mobile when I woke! Just got onto the laptop to actually post though. Good luck Pjen, hope you and baby are doing well. Is she still breech?

Having so much stress with ds1, after his birthday and all we did for him at his party yesterday, sigh, he's an ungrateful little so and so. Not feeling too good myself, still getting tightenings. What will be will be I guess. Hope everyone else is having a better day.

MrsSnaplegs · 31/10/2010 10:02

Still unpacking - hard as this house is smaller!! Loads of stuff and nowhere to put it all. We still haven't found the box with the towels so all 3 of us are sharing one handtowel! Lounge mostly done main bedroom mostly done DD half done kitchen half done - worrying now as pjen due same day as me and we can't get to any of the baby stuff!!

maxpower · 31/10/2010 10:05

oh wow pjen I'm sure everything will be fine and I'm guessing your LO may have already arrived by now!

emmaxmas · 31/10/2010 10:23

Hi pjen- thinking of you so much and do hope that all is well and that your little one is healthy. You are certainly in the best place.

mrs sn glad you are in your new place- sounds as though you're doing well with the unpacking- always takes a while though doesn't it.

Unfortunately I still have chronic pain in my butt cheek Confused - the osteopath thinks I have an inflamed nerve. Nothing seems to help it really and all I seem to do is whinge about it!

Had 32 week GP check on Friday- baby measuring a little small so hopefully 34 week midwife check will be okay and there will've been more growth. Also white blood cell count high in urine so have to go back for another sample tomorrow.

Got hospital bag packed last week but then after reading all the posts on here realised I probably only had half the stuff I actually needed! The hospital had sent a list of things to take in but didn't seem like very much and no real 'comforts'.

Have decided I am very much over being pregnant now! Sick of all the aches and pains and I feel like I am moaning a lot. Am sure my DH is well fed up with me! But then I keep reminding myself how lucky I am to actually be pregnant and that it will all be worth it in the end. I just can't wait to meet our LO.

Have a good day everyone and once again pjen thinking of you.

DuelingFanjo · 31/10/2010 11:26

Thinking of you PJen.

CherylAnnTweedy · 31/10/2010 11:29

PJen Good luck, sounds like the mw's are looking after you really well. Must be incredibly scary as it's all happening so earlya and unexpectedly but you sound like you're doing great. 35wks really isn't that early, you're daughter will be just fine I'm sure and being as you're already in hospital you're both in the best place.

SlightlyTired · 31/10/2010 11:47

Omg pjen thinking of you! 35 weeks is really good and you're in the absolute best place.

KittyBump · 31/10/2010 12:28

Good Luck PJen thinking of you and praying for you and your LO, no reason she shouldn't be fine at 35 weeks, big hugs xxx

heidipi · 31/10/2010 12:39

Hello all

Joining you in thinking about PJen and the new baby girl who may well be here by now! 35 wks is nearly there, hopefully both are doing well.

Looks like I will be having mine in mid-November rather than early Dec - my bp has gone up so the consultant said last week she'd recommend inducing me at 38 wks which is in 2 and a bit weeks time. I knew this was a possibility as I had high bp before I was pg, and have been on bp meds since 12 wks, so it's not a big surprise and I'm fine with it but - eek - it suddenly seems very soon and real! Just hired a tens machine and think we've got everything else we need to get started with anyway.

I finish work on Friday but tons to do - everyone keeps telling me to relax and not worry, but then follow it up with "but ooh could you just make sure you've finished x, y and z...." Yeah right!

kellestar · 31/10/2010 13:26

Just come back from an NCT sale with the selfhypnosis cd for hospital or birth centre and relaxing birth music. Going to have a listen in a shortwhile. Had the worst nights sleep last night hiccups, reflux and nausea. Did some laundry last night, love the little baby gros on the drying rack. Zapped of all energy and memory.

DuelingFanjo · 31/10/2010 14:57

Hi there

I need some suggestions. I saw the midwife on Tuesday and showed her my right foot which has been slightly swollen. It not huge but was sore. She said to keep an eye on it and if the soreness or the swelling moved up my leg to go to the GP.

So this morning I woke up with soreness all up the back of my calf up to and over the back of my knee. I had bad cramp on Saturday morning so thought it might be continuing pain from that, you know when the muscle spasms and it aches for a few days after?

I decided to go for a walk and it's definitely made it less achy but now I am worrying about DVT or Pre-eclampsia after searching Google (!). Blood pressure has always been good and was fine on Tuesday.

It'll be ok for me to just call the surgery tomorrow if it's still the same won't it? Or should I call the MLU at the hospital today do you think? I don't have a direct number for the midwife.

maxpower · 31/10/2010 15:06

DF if you're worried, call them today - hopefully it'll be nothing and it'll put your mind at rest.

Miffster · 31/10/2010 15:13

PJan sending you and little one lots of good vibes...only a fortnight before full term, God bless you both.

Miffster · 31/10/2010 15:15

DF I would call the unit at the hospital today.
Always best to call rather than worry and wait I think. waiting and worrying not good for you. Information and advice is good. No harm in asking and best not hang about in case it is DVT or pre-ec.

Wholelottalove · 31/10/2010 15:19

PJen Thinking of you and your little girl and hoping all ok. As others have said, 35 weeks is very good and you're in the right place.

DF I had a major cramp the other night in my calf and walked around with very sore calf for the next two days. I got this with DD too so didn't worry, but I haven't really had any swelling. If you are concerned, just give the MLU a call. I rang the delivery suite last weekend as I had a couple of spots of blood (which I later discovered actually seemed to be coming from my bum Blush and they were really nice and reassured me).
