Fourteen years on I still see him with his bald head, on his bike, on various roads nearby. It's a comfort!

Lots of things, especially when I visit my elderly mother at the house they shared and in which I grew up.

Lots of his work is around that house as he was very practical and good at DIY. Everything is still pretty much as he left it and all of his clothes are still in his wardrobe. There are also paintings that he did on all walls inside it. It was his hobby and adorns the place.

He died three years ago. When I go there it is almost as though he is still around. I still also find myself remembering what he would have said and done in certain situations.

Crosswords
Bill Bryson books (books in general really - he loved buying books for 1p on Amazon back in Amazon's early days)
Daffodils
Big thick slices of Soreen with an equally thick slice of butter on top
Only Fools and Horses
Neil Diamond songs
Daft jokes - 16 years since he died and I sometimes hear a joke and half think about emailing it or texting it to him because I know he would have loved it.

The smell of old spice and Golden Virginia tobacco (he died in 1989 so these were a thing!)

The words ‘animosity’ and ‘Olympics’ - English wasn’t his first language and I loved the way he said these and used to make him say them for me.

Seeing people play crown green bowls, preferably late on a summer evening.

His battered old watch. The only souvenir I have.

I’m welling up at the thought of a male voice choir at full pelt and I’m not even Welsh. I’m sorry for your loss x

My mum is still alive, i am very close to mum and was to dad too. He was a lovely dad, an amazing grandad and a great man. He passed away just over 4 years ago. I love him so much. There are so many photos of him and possessions of his at mums and I see her often. I also have my own collection of things of dads. We talk about him often and ds has great memories of him and we often remember his funny sayings and way of doing things.

Countdown - he could do the mental arithmetic bit on sight, which I couldn't do to save my life
Meringues, his favourite
Really weak puns - he never passed up the opportunity to make one
Fiona Bruce - for some reason he couldn't stand her and never omitted to say so Grin

Seven months since he died. It's been a very tough time for my Mum, who's still with us (91). Sad

Waffles
Eau Sauvage Cologne
His watch ticking away, I often wear it.
The last birthday card he sent me, I put it up every year.

He died suddenly in 2000, but in some ways it seems like only yesterday.

Kindest thoughts to everyone. Thanks
