I want to show him off, if that's ok.

Its been a long time since anyone but me has acknowledged him. Sorry the photos aren't too great, there were no camera phones in the 90s so I had to take a picture of a photo.

He would be 23 now, and as handsome as his little brother no doubt.

He was so beautiful, he was a skinny wee tall boy, all eyes and feet 😂 he was tiny but his eyes were huge and he had ginormous feet.

Everyone always said he has wise eyes, and an old soul. I really felt he was an old soul too.

He fought so hard through his illness, but he was taken from me anyway.

He was cremated in his green top and green socks, that was my favourite outfit on him.

He is still so loved and missed every day. I adored him, my first born, my precious baby boy, he changed my life, he made me a mum, he taught me what love is, and now that love has no place to go so it has turned to grief.

Forever my baby ❤

Lovely pictures of your beautiful boy scott 💙

He will always be your boy and you’ll never get over what has happened, people should acknowledge that!

This is, what I call, his model look, faraway wonderment 😊 or just very annoyed at another photo being taken in yet another outfit.

My arms feel so empty today, although he would be towering over me like ds does, or calling me "old dear" instead of mum, his life with me may not have been perfect, but he would never have questioned my love for him, I would have done anything for him.

Thank you for telling us about Dotty, he was a lovely boy. Love the way you dressed him the first time, he looks great. Carry on talking if you want. Of course you shouldn't forget him. He made a difference in your life.

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 01/11/2021 10:52

He's lovely

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 01/11/2021 10:53

Two of my siblings died young.

We've never forgotten them although we didn't talk about them much because it caused my parents so much pain. Every major milestone in our lives has made us think of our siblings.

My parents each remembered and spoke about these much-loved children in the days before their deaths.

You will always be a mother to Scott and thank you for telling us about him and sharing him with us.

Misspacorabanne · 01/11/2021 10:55

You'll always be his mum, and he will always be your son! He's beautiful!

REDHERO · 01/11/2021 10:55

He is gorgeous and those eyes are beautiful. You must be so proud.

Thinking of you x I have no idea how awful it must have been and still is to lose a baby. I almost lost my 3rd child when a week old and thinking of that makes me cry still. My sincere thoughts to you.

He was in hospital for most of his life as he was quite poorly. It was fairly quiet when we were in so the nurses used to spend time fussing over him. I always knew when he had enough of the attention because he had the most perfect eye roll I have ever seen on anyone, let alone a baby. I'm sure that eyeroll would have been the bane of my life, but I would give anything to see it now.

Most of my memories of him are from the rocking chair beside his incubator, holding him, reading to him, he really loved Hey diddle diddle as well, that always calmed him down. He took to breastfeeding like a pro considering he was tube fed, then bottle fed my milk for some weeks.

I often managed to get myself all tangled up in his wires too, I'd have to get the nurses to help me untangled, with his infamous eye roll at my incompetence 😂
