Christmas stars for lost love ones

KimiTheChristmasCracker · 01/12/2006 13:31

Every Christmas my church has a big christmas tree and a box of stars, that you wright the name of a missing loved one on and hang on the tree to be remembered in the christmas prayers.
I was wondering if we could have a mums net thread the same?
I know we miss our loved ones and friends all the time but at special times of the year the pain and memoreys are in out thoughts more.
Epecially for those lost over the reacent year.
So here goes. I will be remembering

Richard howard (died this year)
Jakie (died this year)
Roger Price (died this year)

My nan,(1994) My dad,(1984) My father in law (2001) and My best friend (1989)

My son Jack.

I never met you, never got to cuddle you, but Grandad's told me you're around and you've helped him with his gardening. I'm glad you're happy because that makes me feel happier. I always talk to your plant this time of year, as it's when you left me, but I bet you know that. I'll meet you one day and we'll have the biggest and best ever cuddle. I love you, darling, and so does Daddy xx.

It's such a beautiful idea a star on the tree. I shall put up stars for all the loved ones who I miss and invite my friends and family to add to my tree with beautiful glittery stars to show how much they still shine in our lives.

This thread has mede me cry.

This is such a thoughtful thread, which reminds me to be grateful for all the wonderful and precious things in my life.

I would like to remember my dear friend's Mum who died 21 Dec 01.

I would also like to remember the father of the beautiful girls (8,6 and 4yrs) I used to nanny for who passed away January 06.

mamalocco · 17/12/2006 13:03

For my dad (15/12/90) and my mum (05/06/01). I'd give anything to have you watch your grandchildren open their presents on Christmas Day.

Thank you for doing this Kimi - even though, I'm sobbing away!!
