My daughter died on Saturday

I can't sleep. There's so much I have to do. Just waiting for daylight so I can go outside and see to my animals. The insomnia has been going on for months but it's harder to deal with now.
She had a life-limiting illness so we knew this day would come but didn't think it was going to be then.

Totally ridiculous, stupid question BUT how are you doing?

Have been thinking about you for the past few days and wishing I could do more to help than just writing ridiculous words on here xxxx

I am so sorry for your loss- I know those words were meaningless, she sounds like a wonderful child. I wish I could do something to help instead of just writing words.

Our safe haven thread

Dont know if this will be of any use to you but this thread has been going for about 6 years on MNet. All MNetters in the 'same boat' or similar. A place where we can talk freely about our losses and try to make some sense of them. xxx

snorris · 07/06/2013 20:01

Thank you all for your messages.
I've gone back to my usual name as it feels more like me.
Expat, I remember your daughter. It really struck home with me at the time as my twins are a similar age.
Still working through all the necessary things that need to be done. Dd5 has gone back to preschool, mainly because she will be going into the reception class on Monday afternoon as part of preparation for starting school in September. I didn't want her to miss it and equally didn't want her first day back to be different.
