doctor appt friday for DS (sicky, off-balance, bad ears)

1000 replies

EdgarAleNPie · 23/02/2011 18:15

right - he's had an anti-biotic ear spray for two weeks. he has been particularly sick the past week so its doing bugger all

my plan for friday is to ask

-for heavy oral anti-bs to realy kick the infection (if it is bacterial, as if its in the inner ear an exterior spray won't touch it).
-for a referral to a paediatrician (which i can always cancel if he gets better before it coes through)

  • anti-emetics/ anti nausea pills? he's been keeping very little food down. quite thin.

how does that sound for a plan?

he already saw audiology, they said 'yes, there's fluid in his ear.' is there any point in seeing them again?

He's now been down with this since November. Gone from running and kicking a ball to staggering around the house and falling over. can't manage more than a few yards without support.

ok, any thoughts?

Edgar - tonight with the very big moon we took our DDs outside and set off a sky lantern which DD1 had decorated, we told her who it was for and she sent it off with a blessing for him and his mummy, daddy and sisters. I have never hugged them so tight. You and MrEdgar are amazing to have shared him and this difficult time with us all. xxx

Habbibu · 19/03/2011 20:59

Have been thinking about you, lovely Mr Edgar and your darling children today, and have cuddled my own two as much as I can today, in loving memory of your beautiful ds.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 19/03/2011 20:59

Thank you for sharing your memories of your little boy. He sounds like an amazing boy to have brought such love and light to your lives and I am so, so sorry for your loss.

Please take comfort that you were with him as he passed away. He came into the world and left it with you at his side.

I'm sorry, words aren't enough here, but I'm another mum who will be giving my toddler the biggest hug of his life when I check on him before I go to bed tonight.

Have spent all day thinking of you and your family, and hugging my DCs tighter than normal, thinking long and hard about how lucky I am, how lucky we all are.

I am so so sad for you, but feel glad that you have the love of your wonderful family to help and support you through this awful time, as well as the memories of such a darling boy.

Sending all our love to you and your family x

I am so utterly sorry for your loss. What can I say? Remember all those good times you had with him. He was a lucky boy to have such loving parents and siblings. It's lovely of you to think of thanking the hospital staff at such a difficult time for yourselves. My thoughts are with you.
