Mine: DS2 (2.9 or something) slept with my old broken bike seat last night.

the girlfriend

Washersaurus · 25/06/2007 11:42

I found DS(nearly 2) in bed with an inflatable snowman the other night

DeviousDaffodil · 25/06/2007 11:43

Found DS 2 asleep with half a jaffa ckae stuck on his nose last night.

IntergalacticWalrus · 25/06/2007 11:44

DS1 sleeps with various metal (ouch) trains, about 7324682374 books and a teddy on most nights.

He has been known to cuddle up to my hairbrush, tupperware and the plug from the bath

I think Colin's an excellent name for a coconut.

Our music stand's called Barney.

OhNo40 · 25/06/2007 11:52

Books. Lots of books. Not just the small, soft Thomas/Mr Men type, but the great big hardback "Treasury of Stories to read aloud", hardback w-t-p, a box set of noddy books (with box), a couple of books with integral jigsaws and several of her Beatrix Potter collection.
And she then wonders why she wakes up with marks all over her arms/legs where she has slept on these hard edged books.
Then of course there are all the soft toys to fit in......

These make the fact that DS1 took a plastic lawnmower to bed last night look very normal. To be fair he did get it that day for his birthday, and was trying to keep DS2 from taking it.
He did used to sleep with the lids from washing up bottles. He liked to click them open and closed.

kiera · 07/07/2007 08:29

how reassuring - I didn't know this was normal! ds1 has slept with all sorts of things, many of the above, but I think the wierdest was a piece of the Christmas tree's trunk that his dad has sawn off so it would fit in the living room!

my in laws have an organic farm which we are the lucky benefactors of produce from. Most nights this week (winter here) ds has slept clutching a yam in each hand.

jaynehater · 11/07/2007 11:17

Hello cupcake, not stalking, we seem to be drawn to the same ones today..

The head from a barbie and a dental inspection mirror with three bobbles wound round it.

WaynettaSlob · 11/07/2007 11:20

I wetn in last night and DS1 (nearly 4) had every single one (about 10) of his cuddly toys under the duvet, so he was asleep with his legs bent up as there wasn't enough room.
AND he had the tie-backs from the curtains in there too!!!

DD used to love the wooden lemon reamer and would regularly take it to bed.

I thought of making it a little dress sort of like and old fashioned peg doll, but then I Got a Grip.

UnquietDad · 11/07/2007 11:24

DS has slept recently with big piles of books, Postman Pat in van (with Jess), Cyberman, TARDIS, wooden aeroplane... But not all at the same time!

jaynehater · 11/07/2007 11:24

well caught, anchovy, well caught.

nimnom · 11/07/2007 11:24

Both of my boys frequently sleep with odd things - last night my 4 year old slept with a packet of tissues that had a picture of Lightning McQueen on!

LowFatMilkshake · 11/07/2007 11:27

DD sleeps with her bear - attached to her silkie
4 fraggles
a pink dinosaur

and wears her slippers in bed!

ApuNahasapeemapetilon · 11/07/2007 11:36

3 toothbrushes

bundle · 11/07/2007 11:37

dolly's buggy

hatwoman · 11/07/2007 20:59

dd used to insist on wearing her wellies in bed. They were new, bright green and had pictures of winnie the pooh and tigger on, what's an 18 month old girl meant to do? we used to sneak in when she was asleep and take them off. if she woke up to find them removed she'd demand them back, screaming "MY SHELLIES".

she took to sleeping with a lego man too. it was about 2 inches high and very prone to getting lost under the covers. it was called Boyce. apparently.

julesrose · 11/07/2007 21:35

DD held a plastic egg in her tiny hand in bed. For months..

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 21:38

My dd recently went to bed with a pair of "fairy" knickers that I bought her - she was so chuffed with them God love her.

Bellie · 11/07/2007 21:38

a party invitation ( it was her first!!)

TheArmadillo · 11/07/2007 21:39

a cotton wool ball in each hand.

He insists on it.
