What age did your child start walking?

My ds is 14 months and had been taking 4-5 steps at a time for about 2 weeks before dropping down to crawl.
Now this morning he's statred to walk everywhere!

Just curious to see what age others started.

Both of mine were right before their first birthdays. Just in time for lovely bump bruises for birthday photos.

yes seashells, we had been-mugged-with-a-crowbar look for ds2's birthday photos
ds I was a couple of days after his first birthday and ds1 was on the day.

ds will be 1 in a fortnight and only started crawling last week, so not for a while i should say Grin

DS was never interested in crawling, started cruising around 6/7 months then up and off on his own at 10 months.
My friend had a dd on the same day as I had ds and she didn't walk till 16 months. All different as everyone says.

dd was 13 months
ds is 14 months and cruising now. But he started crawling 3 months later than dd. Its cheaper on the shoes, anyhow.

MN average so far is 12.75 months. (I am avoiding doing housework). Smile.

DS1 was 15 months & I have a feeling DS2 was about the same age, but I really can't remember him taking his first steps. How awful is that?!

DD 13 months, DS 16 months (ds was 3lbs heavier at birth and has always been big - I don't know if that made a difference).
