Bit of a different question than 'which name do you prefer/think'..

When I was a bit younger I would probably answer Jessica, but now I would say Phoebe i think.. Its tough tho! x x

Hormonesnomore, you must read more Greek Classics, tsk tsk.

I did go to school with a Jessica, but sadly the contraction was not Jess but Sicker - not very nice.

Lora69 · 18/06/2010 02:57

ugh, gross pp!

I am the OP and I have to say that I do prefer Phoebe for my DD, more classy, quirky, happy etc..

but its starting to look weird to me too. Jessica looks prettier written down, but isnt as nice to say imho xx

My niece is Phoebe...it's quite trendy atm. I just don't like the sound of it though - it's very nasal. And there's no nice nickname.

Sicker is yuck! She must've had a much older, big brother!

Phoebe - bever got why so many people like Jessica??

Prematureexcelsisation · 13/11/2010 20:00

I'm a Jessica. I used to be unusual now I'm 10 a penny. It makes me sad

smother · 14/11/2010 00:18

I don't like Jessica much but love the name Jess

DinahRod · 14/11/2010 00:19

Phoebe

LoopyLoops · 14/11/2010 00:21

Jessica, without a doubt. If I were called Phoebe I'd change it by depoll. Horrible name, sorry.

LoopyLoops · 14/11/2010 00:22

Sorry, didn't really explain. Too many soft sounds and vowels, nothing concrete to it. Very much like the female equivalent of Ian. Yuck.

perpetuallypregnant · 14/11/2010 00:35

Jessica - I have one. She gets Jess/ie.

Really dislike Phoebe for no rational reason.

HelenaRose · 14/11/2010 11:03

Phoebe is a beautiful name.

Mumwithadragontattoo · 14/11/2010 15:30

Phoebe is much nicer. Prefer it written down too.

pacinofan · 14/11/2010 16:07

Phoebe, timeless and classic.

Nancy66 · 14/11/2010 16:55

Phoebe - Jessica is the Jane of this generation.

TrillianAstra · 14/11/2010 16:59

I would rather be Jessica. Better for shortening.

pointydog · 14/11/2010 17:01
