Would you rather be called Jessica or Phoebe?

Bit of a different question than 'which name do you prefer/think'..

When I was a bit younger I would probably answer Jessica, but now I would say Phoebe i think.. Its tough tho! x x

Used to love Jessica as a girl but now find it has too many s's and don't like girls names that end if 'a'. Too girly for me.

It's interesting that posters who have disliked it here have thought of it as both childish and old-ladyish.

I know too many Jessica's so I would say Phoebe. also in my list of favourites for a girl!

I like Phoebe more in theory, but the constant misspellings would drive me mad. I have known several Phoebes (weirdly) and the majority of people spelt their name wrong. So, I'd rather be a Jessica. I like Jess, always seemed a cool sort of nickname.

Phoebe is lovely and my fave of those two - though I agree with those saying you'll get a lot of people spelling it wrong.

Phoebe - it's gorgeous.

My Phoebe doesn't get called Feebs - she is either Fee or Bee.
I personally wouldn't mind being called Jess either, although not Jessica. But that is because it is quite uncommon amoung my generation. Too commonly used among children though.

We don't get it spelt wrong very often actually - once on a christening card and now 5 years later, her school sometimes spell it wrong which is very annoying. pheobe is the most common misspelling

The more I look at the word Phoebe, the stranger it appears.

Jessica is more normal imo. And Jess is lovely (I am biased )

Phoebe is looking really weird to me after reading the whole thread. I feel I should like the name but I don't.

I'd choose Jessica as I like Jess.
