DH is set on a name for a boy. I am really not keen. I don't hate it but not sure I want to use it either!!! On the other hand, I like another name but DH says he really doesn't like it. Just thought I would see what the favourite out of the two is and if you associate anything with each name! Probably won't be using either anyway!!!

DHs name is Brandon
Mine is Blake

Blake is a thousand times nicer!!
Brandon sounds trailor trash..No offence to dh

whatwasthatagain · 28/04/2010 11:24

Sorry - don't really like either.

weegiemum · 28/04/2010 11:25

Brandon sounds very American, if that is a problem for you.

Blake just makes me think of Blake's 7, but that is me showing my age

CinderellaRach · 28/04/2010 11:25

*trailer.Sorry hormones are making me mad!Cannot spell today..

GladioliBuckets · 28/04/2010 11:27

Both much of a muchness to me.

fairybubbles · 28/04/2010 11:30

Not keen on either personally, but if I had to chose I would say Brandon is nicer. Sorry.

recireci · 28/04/2010 11:32

I am not keen on surnames as first names, but out of the two I prefer Blake.

largeginandtonic · 28/04/2010 11:35

Neither. Blake if i had to choose.

Sophie78 · 28/04/2010 12:06

Do not like Brandon at all, very eighties. Like Blake.

preggersplayspop · 28/04/2010 12:07

Blake. Not keen on Brandon, its an American teen soap name to me.

BunnyLebowski · 28/04/2010 12:08

They're both shocking.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 28/04/2010 12:08

Blake is chavvy, Brandon is 90210.

CakeandRoses · 28/04/2010 12:10

I'm sorry but I'm another nay for both Brandon and Blake (and for names that sound a bit surnamey)

Brandon: sounds a bit like a cheesy American invented name to me

Blake: I think it looks and sounds harsh. And wasn't Amy Winehouse's lovely ex a Blake

If I HAD to choose then Brandon as the sounds are nicer.

Poohbearsmom · 28/04/2010 12:20

Brandon

Hullygully · 28/04/2010 12:28

no

dilbertina · 28/04/2010 12:28

Find a different name you both like. Are you american?

MunchkinsMumof2 · 28/04/2010 12:30

neither

Doozie · 28/04/2010 12:30

I would have put Brandon and Blake as the same style of name so you're not miles apart. I think you should both try and find a third option.

AnAngelWithin · 28/04/2010 12:32

its finding the 3rd option thats proving the problem lol

QueenofDreams · 28/04/2010 12:33

QueenofDreams · 28/04/2010 12:34

AnAngelWithin · 28/04/2010 12:35

DaftApeth · 28/04/2010 12:36

I'm a 'neither' too.

AnAngelWithin · 28/04/2010 12:36
