dh has suggested Lola...i think i like it...WDYT?

I know a Lola, she is so cute. If you like the name go for it, I think it is great.

I think it's lovely as long as you say Lohla not Lerla like Sara Cox does sometimes.

I've heard Lola used as a nickname for Lolita so that in itself would put me off - and there are so many Lilys, Lilas, Lolas and even Lulas around at the moment it could get confusing!

I think it will sound a bit silly as a name for a grown up, but makes a cute nickname

I love Lola, I wanted my 2nd DD to be Lola (would have been Lola Rae) DH didn't like it so we chose Sienna Rae... which she suits, she would have suited Lola too (DH is now exDH so if I ever got to have another girl she would be Lola !)

It's getting really trendy, Lola. There's CharlieandLola, of course. There's a lingerie/bedwear range over here called ChloeandLola. And I know 3 under 5.

Agree with the idea to use something like Dolores (which I love) and use Lola as nickname.

How about Louisa shortened to Lola or Lulu? I do like it, and you'll never be short of things with her name on thanks to Charlie and Lola, but I agree it's more of a child's NN than a grown-up name.

Exactly what I was going to say tortoise - it is not a name to be taken seriously as an adult / professional (and when I say 'professional', I don't mean lady of the night ).

Awful. Faddish (will date terribly) and with very dodgy sexual connotations. Baffled by its popularity. THere are lots of lovely names out there pick one of those!
