Hi,

I'm expecting triplets in the Spring - all boys. Two are identical and one is not.
We have a DD already (Phoebe)and I have always struggled with boys names. These are the ones I like so far (not in order of preference):

Dominic
Milo
Charlie
Isaac
Toby
William
Daniel
Harry
Henry
Edward
Nathania l
Fergus
Reuben
Oscar
Max

Probably my favourites are Fergus, Charlie and Reuben but I'm not sure.
What do you think of when you hear these names and which ones would you put together for triplets?
Thanks for your opinions!

William, Daniel, Edward

or

Fergus, Oscar & Charlie (no shortening)

chimchar · 06/01/2010 21:51

all great names....i LOVE milo, dominic and william...really fab! (love phoebe too!)

i too am of you, although am not wishing for any more babies at all thank you very much!!

you'll have so much attention i'm sure...stay well and rest up now!

KeyOui · 06/01/2010 21:56

I think I'd go for

Isaac
Fergus
Oscar

All the names go together though so any combo would sound good. Those 3 are a bit less popular than some on the list. Congrats btw .

SeaGreen · 06/01/2010 22:15

I would opt for

Charlie
Oscar
Max

piscesmoon · 06/01/2010 22:24

William, Henry and Edward or substitute one for Daniel.

Facebookaddict · 06/01/2010 22:48

Great names and congrats - how exciting!

William, Edward and Dominic- all great in formal and shortened versions plus all similar length and balanced.

(Oliver would also be good).

I would give middle names as follows

William Max
Edward Milo
Dominic Toby

MummikinsOopNorth · 06/01/2010 22:50

Thomas, George and Elliot

bandgeek · 06/01/2010 22:54

Congratulations!

You already have my top three boys names on your list - Daniel, William and Edward. Absolutely love them

MummikinsOopNorth · 06/01/2010 22:55

Tobias
Malachi
Elias
Jonah
Elliot
George
Zachary
Aemoss
Barnaby
Curtis
Leo
Noah
Ezra

MummikinsOopNorth · 06/01/2010 22:59

Daniel
Reuben
Oscar
are my favourites from your list.

Also love:
Charlie
Isaac
Toby
Henry
Edward

Clary · 06/01/2010 23:07

Not Henry and Harry (same name).

Henry, Edward and William are nice.

Or Oscar, Max and Fergus seem to go together.

Dominic, Milo, Toby.

I'd deffo avoid same initial at all. (so confusing)

congrats btw!

(lol @ matthew, mark Luke and no John!)

Concordia · 06/01/2010 23:10

i am but i would need a LOT of chocolate if i was in your position
i like Dominic, Daniel and Edward best from your list but think you should have two of same initial. it's really hard isnt' it?

i wouldn't use both william and harry, because of the royal connection. prefer william to harry personally. hmmm what about William, Daniel and Edward - they sound good together?

cityangel · 06/01/2010 23:10

Personal favourites for me are

William (my son's middle name - my late granpa)
Fergus (a really lovely friend - who is due to be a Dad in July and sadly lost his Mum in 2009)
Reuben (fun friend and a popular name but love it)

Have you considered:

Rufus
Cameron
Ethan
Lewis
Jake
Ellis
Miles

One thing I would say is if you don't want popular names you need to rethink your list... particularly Harry, Oscar & WIlliam...

Can't wait to see how you get on...

springaporesling · 07/01/2010 03:18

DH's cousin has naturally conceived triplet boys (2 identical and one not as well) they are Joseph, Daniel and Christopher - about 8 yo now.

SoleLundyFastnet · 07/01/2010 05:57

This is the first time I've come across a name shortlist where I've liked all of the names!! COngratulations on your triplets - I have twin boys and it is wonderful

FultonMcKay · 07/01/2010 06:58

Fergus,Isaac and Charlie (though I would have Charles on birth cert). I really like your taste. I also like Seth, Magnus and Gabriel.

Good luck. am jealous!

Skegness · 07/01/2010 07:26

You have great taste in names.

Charlie
Daniel
Reuben

would be great.

Also really like Dominic, Nathaniel, Toby, Issac and William.

I think whoever said avoid Harry/Henry so they don't become Tom, Dick and Harry is dead right. Daniel and Nathaniel are two of my favourites on your list but not good together, especially for the 2 identical boys.

Millions of congratulations. How exciting!

diddl · 07/01/2010 08:18

From your list, Milo, Toby & Oscar-simples!

randomimposter · 07/01/2010 08:54

Can imagine your reaction at the scan!!!!

Take it easy and keep us posted. x

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/01/2010 09:40

Dominic, Fergus and Lawrence (which I know wasn't on your list, but I'm sneaking it in .

pranma · 07/01/2010 11:55

William,Edward,Henry
Will,Ned/Ted,Harry

BigBadMummy · 07/01/2010 11:58

I went out with a bloke once and he was known as Bert.

He had three brothers and they were all also known as Bert.

Christened: Robert, Albert, Gilbert and Dilbert.

I kid you not.

thumbwitch · 07/01/2010 11:58

I like Fergus, Max and Harry best.

Although my initial thought on reading your thread title was Pip, Squeak and Wilfred.

TheApprentice · 07/01/2010 12:09

by the way , have you read Jackie Clune's book? (cant remember name) - she also had 4 children under 2 as she conceived triplets naturally like you - its a very entertaining and thought provoking read.

wishing you all the very best!

cece · 07/01/2010 12:11

I think Henry, William and Edward go nicely together and also go well with your daughter's name.
