Recently dealt with a woman at work who had called her daughter Beau - all very well but unfortunately this was teamed with the surname Lock.
I wonder sometimes if people think through how names will work together.

Girl who was wheeled into theatre for C-Section just before I went in for some repair-work (ahem ) named her girl...

I kid you not.

I know of a Joyce Joyce (why would you not just keep your maiden name)

Marnie McKnight (Marmite?)

Kylie Currie (just sounds so wrong)

Then there is the lady who my dh used to work with, she wanted to double barrel her name when she got married, the choice was either Mrs Curry-Topping or Topping-Curry. She is simply Mrs Topping.

Curry is following a theme here.

Rindercella · 12/10/2009 16:46

I knew of a Frances Francis - so understand where you're coming from on Joyce Joyce Fimbo

A customer was called Donna Wander. Dunno why, it just always tickled me.

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/10/2009 17:06

I used to work at a school where one of the students was called Mark Hunt. His dad, who was also a governor, was called Michael.

How we laughed .

Another kid was called Lee King. There were others but I can't remember them

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/10/2009 17:08

At work there are two chaps who sit next to one another - our workplace has cubicles with your name in signs. Now their full names are not unusual, but one surname is Gay and the other's is Camp.

Well it makes me laugh anyway.
