They were
Martha Troy
Bethany Miranda
Anita Carmen (that one was his choice, he fancied Carmen Electra)
and
Joseph Alexander

Found a notebook with them in at my mum's house the other day

I was having
Paris
Clive and Mimi
(I was 18)
Loon

ZacharyQuack · 03/10/2009 10:26

Oh no, not Loon. Have you thought about Lunar?

I prefer Loon. Lunar is #spanish for MoLE!

bellissima · 03/10/2009 10:28

Yeah well my boyf would have probably gone for 'Bangles' (or possibly Debbie Harry).

Prunerz · 03/10/2009 10:29

Claireybee that is Hilarious! (Well Joseph Alexander is fine....)

I thought, Jemima or Paris for a girl
I don't think I considered having a boy
(I have one now!)

Celery · 03/10/2009 10:30

I was going to call my children

Melon
Mascara
Christobel ( still like this one, although dh vetoed it )

Clive ( after Clive James who I had a teenage crush on

and Ambrose, which always reminds me of custard.

cremolafoam · 03/10/2009 10:32

BF was French and I think maybe we were spelling it Lune ( like Moon in French)
ROFL

Buda · 03/10/2009 10:32

I was going to call an future DD Leanne.

I tried to play this game once with now-DH. He was at the never having children stage. He suggested Beverly for a girl. I named DS. Enough said.

cookielove · 03/10/2009 10:35

i liked mya when i was young after watching a film with a it as a main character, no one was called it back then,

claireybee · 03/10/2009 10:35

Mine are looking pretty normal now, Mascara? Melon?? Loon???

Isn't Martha quite popular now? I was obviously a decade or so ahead of the trend

Miranda
and... the other one.

I was going to have a daughter and call her Electra-Jade. Then when she was 2, I would have a brother for her, and she would push a mini pram and doll round while I pushed the real pram . I have 3 DS's, and luckily no daughters.

Ledodgy · 03/10/2009 10:51

I always wanted Anna and Adam then I met dp who had an ex called Anna and his surname is Adams so that buggered up that one!

serenity · 03/10/2009 10:55

I remember a late night conversation when I was around 18, and DH (not DH at the time, not for another 8 years) was 21 and we were fairly set on having boys called Gregory and Anthony.

By the time we had DCs, SIL (DH's sister) had two boys called... Gregory and Anthony.

It was just one of those weird pita coincidences, because we never told anyone that we'd picked names (not that she would have deliberately taken names we wanted anyway)

claireybee · 03/10/2009 11:17

Ooh wierd Serenity.

I do still quite like Bethany Dog, maybe not enough to use it but I think it's a nice name.

When I was 17 my (then) boyfriend and I decided we'd have a little girl called Orla, but, without giving his surname away, if we had, everytime we called her it would sound like we were announcing everyone had just woken up... it sounds ridiculous now

ninedragons · 03/10/2009 11:23

PMSL at Clive. WHO has a fantasy list with Clive on it, even when you're young and your brain is not yet fully formed?

angrypixie · 03/10/2009 11:32

Mine were;
Anton
Colin ?????
and
Lori Kim
(aged about 15)

Luckily I was in my 30s when I finally had dc. Got it right about the 2 boys and a girl though.

sayanything · 03/10/2009 11:43

Esmeralda. I went through a Victor Hugo phase. The name makes me shudder now.
