HELP cannot settle on a name, cant keep calling him baby!

i had my little boy 2 days ago (2 weeks early) and we cannot pick a name.

surname: O'Dwyer
Bro and Sis: Thomas and Ellen

what on earth can i call him? the only name i like is william and DH wont have it.

poor thing has been called "little man" or "baby" for 2 days now

oh not ZAC it MUST be ZACHARY (errrr can you tell I have a ds called this lol)

O'Dwyer was my maiden name! Be careful with the initials, mine were SOD before I got married and my brother is known to everyone as POD!

i had my ds last may and dp named him he called him billy but people call him william thinking that thats his name and when you tell them that he is just billy they oh .........so you could always call him william and then call him billy good luck

Noah O'Dwyer sounds a bit like 'No idea' to me - which I'm sure 'the lads' would find very funny when he's older.

What about Noam, which 'flows' a bit more easily with your surname?

I had similar probs with naming my son, what I did was give DH a shortlist of three and then let him have the final choice. That way everyone is happy.

I vote Cameron or Dominic (my boys' names of course!)

Harrison sounds good with O'Dwyer and you could shorten it to Harry.

Like me, you have quite a long last name, so I think it might be advisable to keep the first name short / go with a name where you can handle the obvious nicknames.
