What do you think of the name Kai?

I love the name, but I'm getting mixed opinions!

DD1 is 11 and has a Kai in her class

reminds me of Daniella Westbrooke too... One reason I wouldn't use it, I'm afraid.

I have a nephew called it although the spelling is different.

I am not hugely keen on it although don't really dislike it, it's just not what I would choose. It seems to be fairly popular around here as well.

I used to like the name, it is a fairly mainstream Scaninavian name. I think that in recent years in the UK it has developed a certain image, which is a shame, but because of that I wouldnt use it now.

DS3 is Kai and no its not chavy but slightly unusual.
One of its meanings is fire, another is water.

it is a very common name round here.

onthepier... At the end of the day, not everyone is going to like your name choice, but if you like it, use it.
When we said what we were calling our ds we had 2 equal camps... love it, hate it.
Made no difference to us.
