Amarae, Amirae or Amerae?

Just finally decided on our girls name for the unknown DC3 but which speeling do you perfer and now we are stuck on middle names any suggestions?

Amarae is the nicest spelling, imo - If it's pronounced Amma-ray, which sounds the most intuitive.

I like it, my third daughter has a similar sounding name (although mine is an already coined name).

If they are Arabic, then people might assume out of ignorance that it was of that origin. Otherwise, it sounds made up.

I went to school with 2 Amarae's and I am nearly 23 so she hasn't made it up.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion, which i respect but I wasn't asking what people thought of it to begin with rather which spelling.
Yes it would be pronounced amma-ray, so i think the majority of you have said amarae would be the correct spelling. Thank you for the input and answering my original request

I actually really like this name, and before reading this thread I HAD heard it before!

mommyinthemiddle - good for you for sticking up for yourself, there are far too many people on this forum who give their opinion whether it is asked for or not.

I think the best spelling would be Amarae. In my opinion I would go for a for a shorter middle name, without knowing your surname its hard to tell what would suit.

I think I might put this name on my list. At least you know its not going to become common or chavvy name, like so many women choose to go with.

For the record, I think Amarae is the nicest spellling. And a good middle name would be along the lines of something 1-syllable and quite classic. Think someone mentioned Rose, which works well. Also Grace, Skye, Claire,

Please don't go for Amarae/Amara - it means "bitter' in Latin!

Does it matter what it means in Latin though? For example Suri means red rose in Persian, but mouse in French (ok with a different spelling) so it's bound to mean something else in some other language you don't know...

Agree with LetThemEatCake. I would spell it how you pronounce it to save any confusion. As for middle name I would go with something traditional like Amarae Grace
