Dd's class has 2 children called:

Emily
Nadia
Alex (boy)
Nikita (boy)
Cameron

Apart from Emily, I would have thought these names were fairly uncommon. Just curious to see which are the most popular names in your childs' school.

DS1 (9): 4 Matthews, 3 Jameses, 3 Laurens, 3 Jessicas in yr (65 kids).

DD (7): 3 Williams, 2 Poppies, 2 Georgias, 2 Hannahs (60)

Ds2 (5) 3 Olivers, 2 Maxes, 2 Josh, 3 Mias (40 kids).

All fairly standard I would say except Poppy maybe.

Linnet · 09/12/2008 00:16

In dd1's class (p7) there are

2x Kieran
2x Eilidh
2X callum

In dd2's claas which is nursery there are no duplicates

Pawslikepaddington · 09/12/2008 00:18

How do you all know this?? It took me a whole year to find out dd's nursery names!

And there we had out of 30:

3 x Jack
3 x Martha
2 x Leo
2 x Ellie
2 x Sarah

So almost half the class had a stock of 5 names!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 09/12/2008 00:23

At Ds'a pre school:
2 X Leah
2 X Hannah
2 X Lewis
2 X chloe
3 X Ellie
2 X Kayleigh

IdrisTheDragon · 09/12/2008 13:19

In DS's reception/nursery class of 30 there are

2 x Ben (and one Benjamin )
2 x Lewis

Don't think there are any other duplicates.

DD's pre-school class has two Alices (one of which is mine). I think I have a tendency for choosing popular names .

bozza · 09/12/2008 13:27

DS is in Y3 and the duplicates (two each) in a class of 29 are:

James
Lauren
George

DD will be in reception from January and the duplicates there in a class of 19 (lucky DD) are:

Benjamin (although one known as Ben)

and that is it.

Leeloo1233 · 18/06/2021 17:53

It will be interesting to see if the names are very different so many years later

Rosesareyellow · 18/06/2021 18:01

DS has 3 friends called Charlie.
Still quite a few Emilys I think.
2 Bobbys.
And Harrys and Lilys galore of course.
All nice names though, I understand why they are popular.

WindyScales · 18/06/2021 18:09

Isabella
Ava
Sophia/Sofia
Jack
Harry/Harrison
Archie
George

LadyCatStark · 18/06/2021 18:12

Oliver, Jacob, variations of Isabel/la, Harry, Jack, Thomas, variations of Eve/ Evie/ Eva/Ava. There seems to be less duplications if girls’ names than boys’ but in the year below DS all but 2 of the girls had names ending in -y, -ie or -a.

Mynextname · 18/06/2021 18:13

Girls:
Florence (this is by far the most common name in the school I think)
Isabella
Sophia
Grace

Boys:
Charlie
Issac

Not a very multi cultural school at all. Middle class area.

Howshouldibehave · 18/06/2021 18:14

I had two Erics in my class last year-I thought that was relatively unusual.

detectivo · 18/06/2021 18:15

28 in the class, there are 3 Wilfreds and 3 Harrys

Adviceneeded21 · 18/06/2021 18:18

3 Mckenzie's in my sons class (I think it's an awful chavy name, each to their own tho)

pastapestoparmesan · 18/06/2021 18:19

In Y3:
3 x Maya
2 x Maryam + Maryama
2 x Zara
Yosef, Yusuf and Yunus
There aren’t many White British kids.

MojoJojo71 · 18/06/2021 18:21

Terrazzo · 18/06/2021 18:21
