I hope you're joking!

moondog · 18/11/2008 22:03

Dreadful
Chavvy

Littlefish · 18/11/2008 22:04

I've never heard of it before. I agree with thumbwitch, it doesn't sound like a name. It's a bit like "meh".

How is it pronounced?

answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 22:04

excuse me I find the term chavy very offensive.

Did you mean Drew?

answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 22:05

dray.
sounds like grey with a d.

OP posts:
giddykipper · 18/11/2008 22:05

Dre - short for Andre, hence pronounced 'dray'

Quattrocento · 18/11/2008 22:05

You're missing an i

tiredlady · 18/11/2008 22:05

utterly ridiculous
sorry, but you did ask

answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 22:05

No I do not mean Drew.

OP posts:
answerifyoulike · 18/11/2008 22:06

ANDRE.

even Dr Dre's real name is Andre!

you can't do dre, but you can do andre and then call him dre if you so wish imo.

LaDiDaDi · 18/11/2008 22:06

I actually quite like the sound of it, "dray", but I really hate the way that it's spelt so it would be a no from me.

IAmNotHere · 18/11/2008 22:06

NO.

No no no no nononnononononononnnnnnnnnnnnnnnno.

Call him David.

BarcodeZebra · 18/11/2008 22:08

And similarly i find the name Dre very offensive.

giddykipper · 18/11/2008 22:10

As sophable said, even Dr Dre is called Andre

nooka · 18/11/2008 22:12

But that's a nickname isn't it? I doubt very much his birth certificate says "Dre" on it. It sounds like half a name to me. I think it would be unkind.

Heathcliffscathy · 18/11/2008 22:13

his name is ANDRE YOUNG.

he is NOT CALLED DRE ON HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

Andre is Andrew in French and as such is a perfectly respectable not to say ancient name.

and you can call him whatever pet name you like.
