I took a deep breath, said 50 hail mary's and decided to throw it to the wolves...

my dt's are called Edward and Arthur.....

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PuppyMonkey · 14/10/2008 15:26

and you could call him Nobby as a nickname...!

frazzledoldbag34 · 14/10/2008 15:27

Knob is lovely
[adds to list for impending DC]

Bubbaluv · 14/10/2008 15:42

Surely Hector = Knob if you think what a hector protector is for?

Neeerly3 · 14/10/2008 15:45

frazzle - oi, Puppy suggested it to me first - we can't have a sudden flood of Knobs in the class of 2014!

Edward and Arthur are lovely but Walter is in a different category. George or Henry?

frazzledoldbag34 · 14/10/2008 19:27

Ok then neeerly3 - I'll let you have Knob.
Boo

Might not be suitable for a girl anyway?

Neeerly3 · 15/10/2008 10:49

NO

frazzledoldbag34 · 15/10/2008 12:04

I was actually thinking about Knobalina,

or do you think it might be getting a bit too popular now?

No1GruffaloHunter · 15/10/2008 12:11

My Uncle who is 75 has the first name Walter (inisted on by his grandmother to carry on a family tradition). For some reason he has always been called by his second name Richard. Also his sons haven't ended up with it...enough said.

MrsNormanMaine · 15/10/2008 12:15

Walter Raleigh was cool. Except for making everyone take up smoking. But like his work with potatoes.

You give him the name you want and let his personality give it a whole new reputation.

loobylu3 · 15/10/2008 18:15

Walter is not good- sorry. I like George and Henry best from your list. They are fab and go with your other DC's names.
If you really want something with 'old man chic' I prefer:

Wilfred (Wilf)
Albert
Stanley
Gilbert

lilibet · 01/11/2008 14:11

I love Walt - not Walter, and have it (also in pencil) on my list

My Dad was a Walter and was known as Walt.

Dh not keen as usuall

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 01/11/2008 14:43

ZOMBIE THREAD

Izzyathome · 03/02/2017 00:21

Love Walter! And Walt.

Izzyathome · 03/02/2017 00:23

Oops yes zombie thread... Just goes to show how opinions change between 2008 and 2017. I don't think anyone would raise an eyebrow at Walter now. Very cool.

Cosleepdependent · 03/02/2017 21:27

Walter, Walt and Wally are all great. Go for it. I know kids with all the names except Hector that have been mentioned and all is good. Smile

KlingybunFistelvase · 03/02/2017 21:29

This thread is ancient!
