5 days old and still nameless....

She's having Rose as a middle name after my mum, but still not sure about first names.

I'm veering towards Claudia (Claw-dia, rather than cloud-ia)

Her dad likes Sophia better

I had Eve, Miranda and Lydia as possibilities, but still not really feeling keen on any. Dd1 is Isabella so something to go with that.

Any other ideas?????

You seem to like classical names ending in an A. Julia, Diana, Clarissa, Victoria, Amelia, Eliza?

avenanap · 29/09/2008 22:34

They all go really well with Rose don't you think?

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 22:35

MamaTama · 29/09/2008 22:36

My sister named her little girl Stella Rose which I think is lovely (she's now 9) & my friend called her baby daughter (2 years) Lily Rose...
Lydia Rose sounds nice (but I'm biased too since the only doll I didn't decapitate or give a flat top haircut to had that first name - oh my poor Cindys - or should that be Sindys, I can't remember now!).
; )

I knew a pair of sisters called Claudia and Georgia (Geor-gee-a), although I think I prefer Georgiana (pron. Geor-gee-ahna, not Geor-jayna as some pleb presenter on tv said it)

avenanap · 29/09/2008 22:38

Georgia Rose is a lovely name.

Simplysally · 29/09/2008 22:40

Henrietta?

Eleanor?

floaty · 29/09/2008 22:40

Meredith Rose or Amelia Rose

controlfreakinfreaky · 29/09/2008 22:41

melissa is nice...

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 29/09/2008 22:42

The Geor-jayna thing comes from the (?) Amanda Foreman biography of the Duchess of Devonshire, on which the recent Keira Knightley film was based. Apparently, that was how the lady in question's name was pronounced.

Plonker · 29/09/2008 22:43

splishsplosh · 29/09/2008 22:44

Thanks for all suggestions
don't think can have Annabel as too like Isabella, I like Cordelia but my sister managed to put me off with her reaction to it - should have just waited til I decided, I know

splishsplosh · 29/09/2008 22:50

I did think of Eloise, but is that odd with Isabella? Mia is pretty too

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 29/09/2008 22:52

no, but it is odd with Rose! Eloise Rose, no.
Mia is quite common these days, isn't it? nice though.

What about Letitia?
