My husband likes 'Boston'

My husband announced the other day that he really likes the name Boston for our son who is due in November.

Its not a bad name but I'm a little reluctant as I think people might keep saying things like 'Oh, was that where he was conceived' (it wasn't, by the way)

What do you think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 31/08/2008 22:29

I think children should be allowed to sue their parents for mental anguish, if they are given crappy made up names.

Sorry, but you did ask.

southeastastra · 31/08/2008 22:30

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:30

expatinscotland · 31/08/2008 22:32

i think you husband needs to stop sniffing glue

Janni · 31/08/2008 22:32

Well tell him to go there for a visit then, but to let you name the baby.

mybabysinthegarden · 31/08/2008 22:32

If you're looking for a way to put your dh off it, rent 'The Departed' so he can hear how grating it sounds in a Boston accent.

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:34

Or how about Llandidrod-Wells

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:34

Or Biggar. nice little town with a very good sweetie shop

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 31/08/2008 22:34

On holidays, our closest town was Skibbereen, how does that sound ??

Or if you really want to push the boat out, have you considered Weston-Super-Mare ??

Or there is a village in Yorkshire called Bedlam, how does that sound ??

I appreciate your honesty but I do feel some of you have been unecessarily rude about it...

Pinkglow - I think the general consensus here then would be "no."

Divorce your husband...

LittlePushka · 31/08/2008 22:38
