Neither. They're surnames.

And stoopid as forenames.

They sound saddo, wannabe American.

Boak.

alarkaspree · 02/09/2010 18:31

Are you in the US? Either name would be fine here, Carter is incredibly popular. Neither is my cup of tea though.

colditz · 02/09/2010 18:31

would you believe that I personally know one of each?

Of course you believe me, you know I live on a council estate.

rachel234 · 02/09/2010 18:34

I don't love either, but find both more appealing than Jack & Co.

nowherewoman · 02/09/2010 18:39

Get Carter / Mason Pearson.

don't like either, sorry.

But it's your choice so don't let the fact that no one else likes the names put you off.

piscesmoon · 02/09/2010 18:54

They are both as bad as each other.

facebook · 03/09/2010 15:15

Both terrible but you have a lovely surname!

Alex/ander Bravender
Joseph Bravender
Leo Bravender
Matthew Bravender

Much nice then either Carter or Mason imo.

screamingskull · 03/09/2010 15:35

think both names are nice as is carson another poster mentioned (sorry can't find it again).

For what it's worth i was lurking on another baby name thread a few days ago, someone linked up names from the 1820's iirc??? and i was really amazed to see the ammount of surnames used as names so not really a new thing.

Neither. Not good.

Manda25 · 03/09/2010 23:52

Jack is a surname ... plenty of people use that !!
In answer to YOUR QUESTION out of the two ...I prefer Carter

Manda25 · 03/09/2010 23:53

awww Poor OP - this thread is 2 years old !! I wonder which name she went for !

ShoshanaBlue · 03/09/2010 23:58

I think I prefer Bravender.

DinahRod · 04/09/2010 00:06

Grin at this thread being two years old and still having opprobrium heaped upon her name choices!

Mason and Carter must be really awful names!

VirginOnTheRidiculous · 04/09/2010 00:08

I think she probably ran away and never came back Manda. Grin

jomorgan · 04/09/2010 00:53

I like both! But prefer Carson! (yes i know from Queer eye for the straight guy...but who cares!)

auntyjude · 04/09/2010 01:09

my boy is a Mason, he likes his name and it suits him. he is a teenager now. my advice is when baby comes, choose his name, you often know what's right when you meet them! never mind what other people like either, he is your baby and you can name him whatever you want!

people often called him nathan when he was younger which was annoying!

ValiumSingleton · 04/09/2010 08:00

I don't know if this has been suggested, but what about Jason instead of Mason...?

chaya5738 · 04/09/2010 13:04

Both are awful (esp. with your surname) but there are some FANTASTIC suggestions on this thread. I particularly like

Max Bravender
Dominic Bravender

Next time I need a name I am going to suggest an awful one and wait for the good suggestions to follow.

Btw, I think the OP has disappeared!
