Middle name for Aurora?

Hello!

Pregnant with our first baby girl due in May!!

We have decided to call her Aurora. My husband is Italian and it’s his grandmothers name so we love it.

We just need to decide on a middle name…

The names we have are:

Aurora Imogen
Aurora Violet

Which one do you think flows better? We adore them both so we are hoping for some opinions to help us decide?

Any alternative suggestions are welcome.

Aurora Louise flows nicely

Whilst you don't have to have one, it is best to. Most kids will reach an age where they wonder why they don't have one and not be happy about that. I have an unusual first name and surname but no middle name, it still bothers me sometimes, especially since my DB has one.

I don't have a middle name and never wanted one.

I don’t think Imogen goes well with Aurora at all - quite difficult to say but maybe that’s just my accent?

Aurora Violet is fine.

I get to see the names of newborn babies through my work & every second little girl is called Aurora Grace at the moment, so I would avoid Grace for that reason.

My middle name is Louise & it feels almost the same as if my parents hadn’t bothered with a middle name at all 😂. I can see Grace & May being the Louise & Jane of this generation.

Either name is fine, middle names are for forms and passports (unless you're my mother who has never used my first name in my life. I wonder why she gave me two names)

I really like Violet usually, but somehow with Aurora the V sound sounds really harsh.

ETA I've worked out what it is. It's because when you say the two together it sounds like Aurore Revile It.

I don;t like the sound of the word "revile" in there. It has such an ugly meaning too

I don't think Violet does actually work with Aurora because as it runs together you get:

Aurore Revile It.

The Revile sounds awful and has such a horrible meaning.

Eh! Only with deplorable diction.

I don't think the diction needs to be too bad tbh.

Try saying Aurora Violet fast ...

It's now putting me off the name Violet altogether, as I can't unhear the "vile." I previously loved it.

Estelle? Skye? Belle? To keep with the theme.

Belle, Skye is also nice.

I think Rose is really overdone as a middle name. Yet it is a beautiful one and actually really goes so well with Aurora to me.
