I don't get this.

“End Of Care” is typically not who you want to be introduced to in hospital

Bit of a stretch though, as he would introduce himself as Dr Kerr, surely (also Kerr is not pronounced the same as care).

Ah the good old accent comes into play here. Kerr vs Care are exactly the same in our accent. Same as Hare vs Hair vs her. He Is a consultant so not technically a Doctor label and very personable so never uses Mr etc

TheDogsMother · 20/02/2026 22:54

My grandmother knew a Phillipa Laurie.

MJFEB2026 · 20/02/2026 22:58

I know a Jo King!

Old colleague of mine called her daughter Chelsea Meadows.

Shameless place marking as DC2 and I love to prank call DC1, asking for random people like Chris P Bacon and Lee King.

This thread is GOLD!

My PE teacher at school had a surname of Etchygoyne (sp?) but I remember some pretty awful pupils used to call her Mrs Itchygroin 😅🫣

I used to know a Rod Stradling.

And was at school with a Valerie Mallory, which isn't a joke name as such but is pretty awesome.

My Mum had a friend - Nelly Jelly. As a child it always made me laugh and Grandma had a friend with surname Mutton and she was known as Mutty.
