My friend suggested this as a potential for my baby girl but I'm not so keen. Partner is on the fence, no stronger feeling either way.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MumChp · 14/10/2025 20:16

It's too cute like a puppy's name.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 14/10/2025 20:17

It's not the chid I get an image of , it's the parents. It's really scally.

BasicBrumble · 14/10/2025 20:17

Is it even a name? Or a subbrand of dairy-lea?

This.

Hard no.

purpleme12 · 14/10/2025 20:17

Erm well why are you making a thread about it then as if it's a contender...

If you're not keen and your partner's on the fence then it's surely not going to be used...!

rubyslippers · 14/10/2025 20:17

It’s badly spelt
sorry
Macy
Leigh

i don’t like the combo and I don’t like it hyphenated

TomatoSandwiches · 14/10/2025 20:18

If no strong feelings about it then disregard it ( pretty please ).

oviraptor21 · 14/10/2025 20:18

Rhymes with Maccy-D so would be associated with burgers in my world.

FlatErica · 14/10/2025 20:19

US trailer trash?

OneAquaGoose · 14/10/2025 20:19

Maci-Lea is wearing a pink headband with a massive bow on and has gold earrings.

YYYDlilah · 14/10/2025 20:19

It's gorgeous. You might like Beau-Lilah too.

SparklyCardigan · 14/10/2025 20:19

I see a toddler with pierced ears and fizzy juice in her bottle.

FoxtrotOscarFoxtrotOscar · 14/10/2025 20:20

Does she have brothers called Kayden and Jaydyn?

Geneticsbunny · 14/10/2025 20:20

Have you considered balonz?

NuffSaidSam · 14/10/2025 20:20

I'd imagine a child who is always dressed in pink probably Disney themed clothes, who's had her ears pierced as a baby. She's got a bow sellotaped to her head. Her parents didn't pursue higher education and may struggle with literacy.

NoodlesMcGee · 14/10/2025 20:20

US trailer park with parents named Cletus and Brandine, or ‘Teen Mom UK’ participant with multiple children (Jayden, Brayden, Cooper and ‘Princess’ of the troop Maci-Lea).

SlashBeef · 14/10/2025 20:20

Immediately no. Can hear it being shrieked across a soft play now in my head.

Ncforthiscms · 14/10/2025 20:21

Macey Leah is nicer....if the Leah was ony used as a middle name on forms etc

FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease · 14/10/2025 20:21

Has hints of emaciated. Which is always nice.

Maci-Lea is the offspring of the kind of people who let their children run around in pubs banging into tables.

It's very bad.

Pricelessadvice · 14/10/2025 20:23

A bit chavvy, sorry. But I quite like Macy on its own.

I have no idea what the fascination is with the hyphenated Lea/Leigh/May/Mae after what would be a perfectly nice name on its own.

Onefortheroad25 · 14/10/2025 20:23

Another crap made up name. What is wrong with some people? This is your child you have the privilege of naming. A name she/he will have to live with forever. Have some sense!

Silverbirchleaf · 14/10/2025 20:23

Why are you letting your friend decide your baby nabe?

My first thought was Maccy - D , as in Macdonalds.

(is this a serious thread, or troll)

TheGirlattheBack · 14/10/2025 20:24

Will be nicknamed Maccy-D at school 🥴

TallSuzy · 14/10/2025 20:24

Parents though probably mother is a try hard who has cursed her daughter for life. "Original" spellings make you both sound like uneducated twats.

TheGirlattheBack · 14/10/2025 20:25

Jinx @Silverbirchleaf 😂
