The boys were Mick,Mike,Mark/Marcus, Paul Andy Chris, Dave,Steve : I knew multiples of those. Also Winston,Raj, Valentino, Antonio, Livingstone, Jonathon, Gary, Terry, Tony.

In my school year there were around 70 girls. Five of them were called Sharon, and three were called Joanne. Among the lads there were about four Kevins. You won’t be surprised to learn that this was the 1980s,

Also (because we were in Cornwall) a few regional outliers like Kerenza/Carenza, Jago, Kevern, Morwenna and Denzel.

We had 7 Catherine’s/Katherines in our year alone!
